Love, Guaranteed (2020)
Hallmark, Netflix is not and that's a good thing
I'm a huge rom-com junkie. But I don't care for Hallmark movies. The overloaded cheesiness is too much for me. Plus they use people of color as token figures just for demographic purposes. Anyway, this movie has exceptional actors in it, a well as a great & cute script. They also have diversity which adds so much charm to this already cute film. I recommend any rom-com lover to give this a try either an open mind. Hallmark it is not but for me that's a plus. Both lead actors do a tremendous job at not being cheese, thank goodness! Super cute rom-com for anyone to enjoy really. Grab some popcorn, a warm blanket if cold & enjoy!
Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
Just watch it!
I adore Michelle and this shows many facets of her talent. Just watch & try not to over think it. It's brilliant & the entire cast needs to be recognized for the great job they've done.
Its nothing like we've seen before and it's out of this world.
Janet Jackson. (2022)
A must see!
Truly one of the biggest icons in our history. Seeing and hearing her tell her own story is brilliant. She I'd one strong M For that's for sure. This is a must see!
Family Plan (2005)
Silly, cute and fun movie
I'm not usually a fan of Hallmark, Lifetime or UPtv movies. But this one was so cute and silly. Great movie when you want to make yourselves smile. One of Tori's better acted movies. I recommend for anyone.
Keeping Up with the Kandasamys (2017)
Sweet, simple film
This movie has great heart, comedy and just simple day to day people doing day to day things. I found it very sweet. Give it a try for yourself regardless of any reviews 😀👍
A Taste of Summer (2019)
Not so mushy Hallmark movie
I enjoyed this movie very much. The chemistry between the main actors was great. Not forced as some Hallmark movies feel. Very cute storyline and not a super mushy movie, as most Hallmatk films seem to have. I loved also that the kids in the movie are worked into the main story. Not just there to meet demographics. Also the Hispanic diversity was done great. Again, not forced as Hallmark tends to do just to meet the demographics of adding a non-small causcian cast. Sweet movie with focus on food, which I always seem to enjoy.
Love by Chance (2016)
Not bad, very sweet
I didn't mind the usual stiff acting that Hallmark tends to bring. I'll give any show a shot about culinary or food topics. I do see a similarity to Because I Said So, but that's not even the biggest issue I had. I would love to see more diversity that isn't forced, like making an Asian character an assumed Dr. I feel Hallmark only uses ethnic characters as forced diversity characters. Then they make those characters overly cheesey. With that said, it's not a bad movie. Quite enjoyable and sweet, as most Hallmark films seem to be.
Easter Under Wraps (2019)
Predictable but cute
A usual Hallmark predictable movie but very cute. I love the family story behind the fun chocolate business. A bit... more diversity at least as almost main characters. But the usual just placement of them for demographics. Worth a cute watch right before Easter.
A Shoe Addict's Christmas (2018)
Modern Christmas Carol spin for Hallmark
I read the book years ago and really loved it that I reread it a couple more times.
This Hallmark remake of it was different but not in a bad way. I'm a huge reader & hate when I don't usually enjoy the transition to the screen. But I thought Hallmark picked the right parts to change making it more appropriate for their channel.
This movie still has the cheesy Hallmark touch but at Christmas time I was all for it!
The basic story is the classic Christmas Carole but in a much more modern and fun way. I enjoyed the actors and that helped keeping me engrossed.
Great flick for the holidays in my opinion.
A Harvest Wedding (2017)
What's happened to me???
I'm a new Hallmark convert and am officially loving this Fall movie fest thing they do. But that being said, this IS... a Hallmark movie so cheesy and sweet are a given. This movie was simple and funny! It honestly made me feel the Fall season and excited. The setting is gorgeous, the actors aren't overly cheesy but great actors for this film. The chemistry was awesome and seemed easy. Not the overly forced, cheese that sometimes happens. I really liked this movie and it boosted my spirits for fall! I think Hallmark has finally nabbed me and I'm not sure what's happened?
Highly recommend this movie for anyone.
Truly, Madly, Sweetly (2018)
Truly a sweet flick, pun intended
I'm not a Hallmark regular. Fairly new actually. I do love baking or cooking novels and movies. This did not disappoint with usual Hallmark expectations. The main actors were great at not OVER cheesing it like usual. The story was pretty close to the book. I really did enjoy the cute story and loved seeing a bit more diversity in the main co-stars friends at least this time.
Summer of Dreams (2016)
Enjoyable
I'm not a huge Hallmark person. I watched this because I did grow up with Miss Debbie Gibson and was curious. Considering this is a predictable, cheesy Hallmark movie and she hasn't done a lot of acting... it was quite enjoyable. It had a great simple story and liked that it wasn't the usual over the top mushy movie. It had heart and was great.
