Oculus (2013)

Worst Movie Ever
21 August 2014
Warning: Spoilers
If I could rate this movie a 0 I would. The entire movie is talking and flashbacks. Nothing to do with horror was included in this movie an hour and 8 mins into the movie nothing but talking and flashbacks. This movie was really nothing more then a boring story telling point of view.

Nothing in this movie had anything to do with horror, the talking was continuous, the story line was boring it felt as if it went no where. They tried to make the ending seem as if it were a possession movie, but it really just a sad display of bad directing, and screen writing.

How could this possibly have been the scariest movie of the year when nothing happened to be scary. No ghouls, ghosts, demons, monsters, not even a "boo". What a disappointment. I would say if you're looking for horror, watch Night of the Living Dead or something because this had nothing but flashbacks being played through the whole movie. One minute the sister and brother and talking and then they flash back to when they were kids...back and forth. If I wanted to watch a boring documentary I would have watched that. The actors were stale no personality, the actors were a bore. The woman who played the sister so dry the man who played the son, just no character ability at all in this movie. I don't believe it was the actors though just the story line that went no where on and on relentlessly. The whole movie went stale until the last 20 minutes where they finally showed a demon or witch whatever the hell it was. ENTIRE MOVIE NOTHING HAPPENED ....NO HORROR, NO GORE, NOTHING...IT WAS STRICTLY TALKING AND FLASH BACKS I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES I COULD REPEAT THAT. Do not watch it unless you want to be so bored out of your mind you throw yourself into a mirror for some action and gore.

Kidnapped (2010)

Horrible movie
13 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was quite depressing and the family doesn't fight back....The family does everything they say even what they do to the daughter is just disgusting. I think this movie was just horrible. The family gets abused left and right and don't fight back The movie doesn't express the reason they family so called "fights back" is because after the abuse they took they were all going to die anyway so they do what they had to in the end because they lost their minds after the abuse and rape they took.

They had the entire movie to fight back yet nothing happened for the whole movie but screaming and yelling and crying and getting abused. The last 15 mins of the movie the family gets tired of being abused and lose their mind because they had too.

I felt the only thing relatable in this movie was feeling so horribly sad for the family because we would never want to go through what these people are going through. What a terrible movie, this is only my opinion, but I just couldn't watch this movie ever again. I felt like this whole movie was horrible unless you like these movies of watching families get brutalized and tortured and robbed and raped than please be my guest. Nothing in this whole movie showed fighting back these people in this movie if this was real would all be dead.

The Cottage (2012)

I liked it!
28 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I liked it. Thought it was interesting, I like David Arquette's role in the movie He should try roles like that in other movies. I liked the whole ending of the story too. I personally felt the characters all had merit for their roles. They were all good actors and had reasons for their actions. I do not want to indulge why because I would have to give spoilers and I do not want too. I felt the characters expressed what was going on through their angers and lack of words in some scenes. I really enjoyed the fact that you may start to think someone else in the story is going to turn out otherwise and they do not.

Oh and can someone tell me what is the name of that song that is playing when Justin leaves the older sisters room and than is looking into the cottage window and Rose is dancing around David Arquette. I liked the song but I have been unable to find it, which leads me to believe it was made merely for that scene. If anyone can find that song or knows what it is please please let me know I would appreciate it. Thank you!
