Great Show like all the NCIS series yet...
1 February 2024
Great Show like all the NCIS series yet... when will there be Indigenous, Native, First Nations Australian cast, crew, and writing staff on this show that honours and depicts respect for the indigenous culture, land, heritage, hardships, wisdom, resiliency, and perspectives of indigenous people of Australia on this show in front of Ann behind the cameras including the writing staff for some episodes at least? When will the show also bring on storylines that show honour, respect, Indigenous visible representation of NCIS chapters/government and Australian government making strides/action to end ongoing racism, hegemonic colonialism in Indigenous Australian lands while still showing great NCIS procedural episodes? For counterpart examples like when other shows like NCIS Hawaii, (newer) Magnum PI, & (newer) Hawaii Five-0 made at least some minimal efforts to do there shows with local talent, Characters, and elements of storylines that show respect and educate the non-indigenous public about respecting Indigenous people, their territories, unseated lands, culture, and traditions, ecosystems, and wildlife, etc. That would make this show even better and more respectable as your large international viewership has an opportunity to not only make a really cool show but one that sets a positive example for others. It is important for many reasons and Indigenous/First Nations representation matters, for one example, on YouTube check out video: alsyFcnPjAQ or Google search YouTube for "Why representation matters with Miranda Tapsell ABC TV + interview"

Ps. A little more romance, friendship, and the team of characters team building recreationally here and there on the show when the characters are not on the job in scenes for some more occasional scenes of there off work time or comedy to blow off steam in some episodes would be a hot bonus and could offer some fun ongoing storylines that could be expanded out later like plot arcs for seasons of the show.

Well done!
22 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This limited series is so refreshing with a African-American lead actress, an Italian lead actor, which was long overdue in mainstream productions by the USA/Netflix. There should be more lifelong or long lasting multi-ethnic marriages made into both TV and films portrayed like this! Beautiful job by all of the acting and crew staff -- all of it!! This limited series is romantic, amazing chemistry and affection, passionate, sexy, funny, moving, heartbreaking, heart aching (go through an entire box of tissues sobbing cathartic), restorative healing with resounding love, and love of blended multicultural family--well done!! Brava & bravo!! And the scene with Lino and his dad after many years making talking & starting to make peace in the hospital made me cry so hard and miss my late father even more- I cried and laughed so much at the end of that scene. Best and most moving mini series I've seen in years-- heads up #Emmys & #AcademyAwards- all around for this!!

Oscars!
17 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Oscars for John Cho and Mia Isaac, and also for the writing, and directing. Well done, refreshing, heartfelt, and even some surprising segments! Nice job everyone! Most movies that include cancer or heart conditions can be depressing but this move was not and had some really funny bits too...the teen driving bits were hard to watch (nerve racking). Over all great movie-I'm impressed.

well done
21 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Good acting and direction. Great cast dynamics and multiculturalism. Pleasantly surprising ending and good writing. The movie turned out to be deeper than expected especially the funeral scene and speech, plus the ending was tasteful and refreshing with great nod to family and true friendship, and funny bits with the grandma --her character was funny and realistic...like her own unique flare of funny and cheeky version of a character reminiscent of a latina Betty White. Bravo to all cast and crew:-)

will there be a season 2
1 May 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Will there be a season 2 on Netflix or anywhwre with the English dubbed version? If so...... in that if Isma is able to somehow with his journal and flashbacks of bits of memories of when Lea's spirit was inside him, etc. Is some how able to convince Lea's parents to still somehow have child/Lea together as friends even if they are not together as a couple now that Lea's dad is out of the closet. So that Lea is still born somehow then does that mean that Lea eventually has a May-December relationship with Isma who is old enough to be her father ....after he awkwardly explains what occurred before she was born involving her and shows her what she wrote in his journal/music notebook...that she miraculously somehow believes then they would what???? Start solving other crimes back and forth through time? It's a interesting show...it just leaves the ending of season one difficult to imagine how they will pull off season 2 while still having a plot that makes sense in some way for the plot to carry on past they way the writers left the end of season 1.

Season 2!
1 March 2022
Renew the cleaning lady for season two with Elodie Young as Thony and Adan Canto as Arman still as the lead characters. Just amazing acting, Chemo Katy and good writing and directing all season long! Make them come out on top and legit and clean in the end.

funny but some things missed in the writing
28 January 2022
The acting was good 9 out of 10; writing 7 out of 10 as a bunch of it was funny /good but some aspects of the writing and directing were not logical, practical, or made realistic sense; the film & boom crew did well skill wise but the camera and sound equipment is clearly b quality. So glad that more Canadian films are being made and should be supported so the industry can grow in Canada and internationally. It was also nice to see more international actors films that are not only made in Canada but that say it is a Canadian film within the movie.

Finally!!
14 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Unlike most Rom-Coms that are usually super fake, sugar-coated, with poor writing and/or bad acting---this one is truly good, realistically believable for many aspects including the fact that the female lead had both mature and childlike aspects to that character as most human beings are a complex and multidimensional. The script was even a little unpredictable in some parts, with good writing, good acting, and directing. Plus, last but not least super hot-chemistry and great dialog and acting for the sexual tension flirting and sex scenes!!! Plus they didn't make either of the lead characters stupid, 1 or 2 dimensional like most rom-coms they flushed our the characters in the writing and acting way better than usual Rom-coms.

The one negative /constructive feedback observation about the script and back story that overly-objectified the female lead that was inappropriate was the cliche' aspect of giving her childlike qualities that made the male lead "father" her which though is possible in real life adult women and men relationships--but overly sends a message to young female viewers that that is still what men are looking for and that mature women are still as always less desirable which is close minded. Still way better than some movies that are either super fake/fluffy ...or others where the male lead tries to possess or own the female lead like an object or toy as in 50 shades or 365 days.

**So overall - NICE! Well done! Make more!! Super hot & steamy...the chemistry with the 2 lead actors should do more films & TV shows together as a romantic/committed couple.

interesting show
15 June 2021
It is an interesting show and I am very disappointed to discover today that NBC was ignorant to cancel it after the 3rd season which I haven't even seen yet (only 2 season available so far on Netflix). At least let the cast and crew film one last episode extra for season 3 to let them tell the end of the story!!! How does it end???? Give the fans and paying viewers closure for the narrative. Let them fit one more episode for season 3 and stop leaving viewers hanging when I show gets cancelled with no ending to a story--it's annoying and not what we are paying for. Listen to your customers (and not all of the are in the USA).

FINALLY! Long overdue!
22 May 2021
FINALLY - more indigenous people being included on mainstream tv and in a positive way! They should also have various indigenous/ First Nations on the regular long term medical staff characters of the show art all levels of medical staff as great role models and for future generations of children, teens, and adults to see the show and see people of their culture and lineage represented in positive ways. Show people in real life how that could be and how that change in real life should be more inclusive and respectful of indigenous/ First Nations people while breaking negative stereotypes!!!!

FINALLY!! an episode that promotes truth and reconciliation and honouring indigenous Canadians /North American First Nations not only correcting false accusations and assumptions about indigenous people as police appologize and take steps to actively do better and get awareness training (at lease by actors setting positive example by the end of the episode).

Opening minds to more appropriate social responsibility of the general public's view of reform, redemption, and blended families that may not be conventional but can be healthy for unlikely surrogate fathers and foster children whom need a stable, safe, and caring guardian who accepts the child for the individual that they are...that is once other people let go if selfishness, close minded discrimination, assumptions, and embrace a mindset of healing and healthy progressions to a stable family for those involved. well done! hello award nominations!... for acting, writing, directing, casting, and production staff--bravo! well done!

BRING on Season 2!
5 September 2020
Great show in spite of scientific aeronautical errors, looking forward to season 2! That is with 1-2 veteran/ex- NASA staff consultants where needed, so less unrealistic scientific errors for season 2 which so many people including our family are looking forward to watching.

Awesome! Where's the sequel with more explanation and answered questions?!!
11 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
When is the sequel? And will the original cast for this movie consider doing a Netflix mini series or ongoing series? our household of adults agree that we would watch it on a regular basis. Plus a series would give the cast a safer work environment during the pandemic staying working with the same cast and crew everyday instead of more travel and more crews increasing multiple exposures while the world waits for a safe vaccine. A series would also give the opportunity to A) give more back story of how those characters were chosen to be angel's/beings of good and also the opportunity to flesh out the story line and back story for all of the characters. Also, what happens next when Andy meets her oldest friend again to explain her searching for her at the bottom of the ocean for decades, but apologizes for giving up hope for so long---what happens there at the reunion..... and is the friend that was buried in the ocean for 500 years while the rest were searching for her and then saving others lives--did she turn dark because of it or will she be able to forgive and understand and let it go?

WOW great writing & acting for whole show and the ending!
28 April 2020
I was so disappointed to learn the show was ending just before watching the last 2 episodes on CTV online, but the ending was very well written and gave good closure...well mostly...the entire series & the very last scene makes me still want at least one more season!!! Yet, if it must end the writer's, cast, and directors did a beautiful job. They should put the entire series of all seasons on Netflix now so many others can enjoy it too duding the COVID19 pandemic lockdowns - especially because the show represents hope and faith of the interconnectedness of life always working out in the end for everyone.....and that is something that everyone could use a healthy does of right now...even atheists that do not yet have faith like those of use that are believers do already....and also for those that nee a reminder of faith.

series finale?!!! WTF???
28 April 2020
This show is literally one of the only good shows on TV regardless of how the readings have changed during the COVID-19 pandemic. The show should stay on the air not ---only does it have positive messages that inspire people, it also has a very interesting mystery network of story lines! Also with COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns: lots of new viewers will check out the show that maybe did not consider it before and get hooked on what a great show it is. We know that you can't resume filming until the pandemic lockdowns are over and it's safe to return to filming, but you should DEFINITELY KEEP this show going!

what it's the last episode?!
4 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So sad to discover at the end of the epode that it the series finale and now the season finale, but if it has to end it is a relief that the McGarrett character finally ends up with his beloved true fiancé Catherine (Michelle) as it should be. I was so disappointed years ago to see people give her character flack due to the pitfalls of her career and her character's sense of duty to protect her people when her character was written to leave before the wedding temporarily. I hope that they do at least one more season to see how they all grow old together and pass the torch to the next generation of Five-0 ...but if it has to end now then at least the did a nice job giving some sense of closure. ps. I agree with another reviews comment somewhat regarding they should have had the character of Duke and Kono (Grace Park) make a cameo to say goodbye at McGarrett's house and to properly finish the storyline of Kono & her super hot husband Adam's storyline (Ian is so hot!) that was not properly concluded when Grace Park left for the Million Little Things TV series.

heart sinker episode!
28 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
ahh! Super heart sinker! I was so shocked and disappointed when you killed off the Paul character!!! The chemistry and emotional connection between Sarah and Paul was always great and now in season 3 episode 6 when Paul hinted that he cared for Beth but later admitted that it was not her he loved as he gazed lovingly and happily at Sarah when he set her free..as he walked off to die while stopping the immoral research and stop the doctor and as many Castor as he could...what a heart wrenched climax!! It was nice to see him finally fully show Sara how he felt and how is real agenda was more honorable than she previously thought in his tough position as a double agent. What a way to go out with a bang as a hero Saving Sara whom he loves and preclude the Castor and twisted government black op agenda in one fell swoop. I hope Dylan Bruce Gets lots of parts from his portrayal of Paul Dierden- super Hot! Plus it was cool to see the Helena character come back for Sara in the tunnel though not totally surprising.....super gross about her eating the scorpion even though it was her hallucination(PS. to the tech and props department- in emergency survival tactics shouldn't one pull of the tail of the scorpion to avoid the venom? Thought I saw that in a Bear Grylls show once(Just sayin).

Merits a second season
17 May 2015
Some reviews for this show were prematurely critical as: A) In spite of the fact that the geography and historical facts of the book of Revelations could be more accurately depicted and improved representation in this show over time ...as the writers take note of complaints of discrepancies that were not caught before filming new episodes and correct them as the show goes on. Sure the show could be more historically and Biblically accurate to appeal to literally millions of Christians world wide (*hint* hello market demographic shares), but it is laughable that an ineffective small percentage of reviewers for this show that are clearly antisemitic and negative and just looking to give cranky rant reviews on this page to vent some unhappiness in their own personal inadequacies --and clearly from small minded people who fear what they don't understand and do not see the moral encouragement to viewers and good entertainment that could be given to viewers globally from this show just makes them seem cynical and petty.

***The network is foolish if they cancel this show after one season...cause lets face it: the same old passé vampire, ware-wolf, and blasé and cheesy zombie shows their network has been putting out for a while now that us and literally hundreds of our friends never bother to watch- it is refreshing that this network is making the Messengers.

B) one reviewer of this show here in IMDb made a premature assumption about the horseman of war from only watching episode two, but if he had the patience to watch episode 3 - he would have realized that his assumptions about where the writers were leading viewers was the exact opposite of what he thought they were leading to in episode 2, and no racial profiling was made at all....that reviewer just opened his mouth to rant before getting all the facts.

C) There are many of us that like The Messengers show from US and Canada that watch the show weekly on cable or online and think that it should get at least a second season, though the writers need to cross reference more of their material from The Book of Revelations and other historical documents like the Dead Sea Scrolls and the Two Silver Scrolls. CW Keep The Messengers for another season. Our whole family watches every week:)
