La Prueba (2006)
Interest and with visual beauty
La Prueba (The Test) tell us the story of Miranda, a woman with the ambition to find his lost father in order to save his brother because of his blood type. In the journey, she finds Saul who shows her all the natural and philosophical beauty that Arequipa (a Peruvian department)has, which let Miranda travel to he past to remember some facts that reveal her personality and the reason of why her father left all his family. With an excellent cinematography (the best I've ever seen in a Peruvian film), great performances and a very interesting plot with a realistic and surprising ending, La Prueba doesn't leave the audience with desires of wanting more and also shows that a Peruvian film doesn't need to have strong sexual and violent content to be good. A very capturing and emotional film, VAYAN A VERLA PERUANOS!
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005)
Different Potter movie...
I was lucky to have the opportunity to see this movie. I know that people are tired of hearing this, but is THE BEST POTTER FILM I've ever seen. OK, I'm a fan of Harry Potter, but not so much of their movies. I think that the three previous movies were OK, but it has a different style of the last one (the previous hadn't so much mysterious, well at least the first and the third). The music was OK (although Patrick Doyle used a lot of violins) and the Mcbeth sisters were excellent! Of my part I think that this is the best of Newell (Mona Lisa smile was boring!!!)and I hope him to direct another Potter movie. My rate is 10/10, i'm glad to say that it deserved it :).
