Secret Headquarters (2022)
Good, cute, amusing but a tad predictable family watch.
Why all the hate? It may not deserve to be a ten, but it does deserve more than the 4.9 star rating it has been awarded. So the story is not new and a little predictable, it is still a nice way to spend an evening with the family. Come in with low expectations and you will find a movie with a litttle action, a little humour and choc full of kids getting to be the hero.
Think a cross between spy kids, goonies and iron man. Lots of cool gadgets and a little fun to be had. It may not blow your mind, but if your mind is open you might just enjoy it for what it is. All in all a safe family watch for everyone to enjoy.
Glee: The Quarterback (2013)
Raw and emotional
It's been almost 10 years since I first watched this episode and it still makes me cry. At times I almost feel like a voyeur watching the raw emotions play out on the screen. RIP Corey Monteith I hope you are now at peace.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2009)
I expected high. It delivered.
This is not a movie about vampires. This movie is a tragic love story. If you go expecting to see blood sucking, of course you are going to be disappointed.
Just when I thought my Cullen obsession was subsiding something comes along to re-ignite my passion! I was on the edge of my seat for the most part, and even had a tear or two in my eyes. Mostly from sadness, as I knew what was coming, but occasionally from humor. Charlie once again delivers some classic laughs, Billy Burke is a fantastic Charlie.
This is a movie for fans of the book. If you like the book, pretty good odds the movie will re-ignite your twilight passions. As this movie sticks pretty close the book.
I am not claiming it was perfect, but it certainly wowed me, and I will be going again, and possible again and again to see it at the movies!
