La horde (2009)
Almost no plot, argument or development.
But this is not an average mindless zombie flick. This is worse. Because the main thing in the plot is that the good guys are totally unable to realise -in the whole film- that the zombies ONLY die if they are severely damaged in the head. And this is very convenient for a director wanting to make a "tarantino" zombie movie.
Therefore, they basically kill them by shooting them in the balls which is almost impossible since zombies need no balls or legs or arms. And since almost every character in the movie is a violent moron, they enjoy beating and shooting and cutting zombie meat until the zombies got them. End.
Stay (2005)
Lulu On The Bridge Revisited
OK, not a bad movie, but not because of the script!! IT IS PREDICTABLE Yes, not very original, actually there are two or three movies very similar that you can watch. This is the idea: how the tiny little pieces of your experience of death can be used to construct another story of your life. They say: when you die, all your life pass in front of your eyes. Well, here the idea is the opposite: there's a new life in the last moments, you are losing it and nothing's coherent any more. There's a new opportunity to live something different, another story in which you don't die. So watch some films: try, for instance with LULU ON THE BRIDGE (a much better movie and better version of the same thing, which is a kind of a version of the tale "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce). And to cap it all the film "Stay" finish in the Brooklin Bridge, is it a coincidence?. Or try with DANIKA, a worse version of the same idea. Or try to watch the three of them in a row. The worse of all this: the script by Benioff can be mistaken for an original piece of art in the ideas-desert of Hollywood..
