The Brain That Wouldn't Die (1962)
Strange, funny, weird, but interesting!
I saw this movie as a kid, many years ago. Since then I have wondered if it would be possible to keep just a head alive without a body. This seems to be a little science fiction, horror and comedy all wrapped up in one neat package, with something in it for everybody (no pun intended).
If the lady could just meet the Headless Horseman, perhaps they could get together and be one person. What a great follow up movie that would have been.
I never quite got the monster in the closet/cage thing. Truly this must be mind over matter (again, no pun intended)..LOL...Once you start watching it you will not turn it off until it is over...promise!
Birthday Blues (1932)
One of the best!
The best of the "Our Gang", "Little Rascals" short films. The sound effects of the cake as it comes out of the oven are hilarious. The mess in the house was awful, but necessary for Dickie to get the money for the birthday dress for his mother (and the man at the store threw in the shoes for nothing!)
Everybody won in this episode; The father learned an important lesson, Dickie was able to buy the dress, the gang had a great time at the party, the mom was so happy that her son would think this much of her to spend all the time and effort to get the dress, the dress shop owner made a little money and Spanky is all dressed up to go to church!
Watch it over and over again!
