The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia (2009)
Entitlements at its finest
My favorite part of this ridiculous family who've behaved like a bunch of spoiled white trash children is when they admit to getting welfare and disability checks so they don't have to work. Which they blow on coke, beer, cigarettes, opioids and guns. What's horrifying is when the grandmother and great grandmother pass away, there will be no more checks and these people will have to fend for themselves and they won't know How aside from crime.
Sons of Anarchy: AK-51 (2008)
I laughed out loud
There's a scene where they hid guns in septic truck and then have to retrieve them
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Confession (2008)
Disturbing
This is one of the weirdest episodes I've ever seen- and disturbing too
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit: Loss (2003)
Phenomenal
I got teary eyed with this one. Just a phenomenal twist.
The West Wing: The Supremes (2004)
Excellent casting well written and funny
The sentiment of the episode is opposing political doctrines can be equally, successfully and rationally argued without causing wars- and they should be. The casting choices for the main guest characters could not have been better. It's too bad that in real life the middle of the road monotonous choices are preferred
30 for 30: Fantastic Lies (2016)
Unbelievably well done
I played lacrosse in college, I played against one of the high schools attended by one of the assailants, I've partied like the players did including hiring local strippers and I could have easily found myself in the exact situation these players had found themselves back in 2006. So when I watch this film, I dont view it from a distance. So when I see dirtbags like Nancy Grace, Lisa Pinto and Bill OReilly along with hundreds of other media members make sensationalized and inflammatory accusations and then ride those accusations to higher ratings, inciting the public to lynch like behaviors, and then never ever to apologize to not just the populace for lying to them but to the accused, the players, the coach and the families for the horrors they have had to endure. They will forever be linked to the words rape and sexual assault in any search on google- for eternity.
Grey's Anatomy: Everything I Try to Do, Nothing Seems to Turn Out Right (2014)
Annoying dad
I liked everything about the episode but Brayden's dad- that is the most annoying actor/character I've ever seen in my life. First of all, he seems to have no clue when it comes to understanding his kids illness. Second, when given the option of a possible cure and pretty much the only cure, he wants to turn to prayer. THEN, when his kid is better, and he finds out the virus was used, he wants to press charges???? He's just a dumbass and it's annoying. Then he wants to take her license. He's just rude.
Tag (2018)
Good stuff
It's a movie about 45 year olds playing tag- people looking for artistic qualities are douches. The writing is great, John Hamm is great. Lighten up people.
Grey's Anatomy: Break Down the House (2017)
Annoying
I find the Megan character to be really really annoying and I can't tell if it's the actress or the writing that makes her annoying. I get it that she's supposed to be this "super fun" character but really, she thinks she's funnier than she is- which makes me think it's the actress.
Game of Thrones: The Watchers on the Wall (2014)
Amazing
When you compare the battle scene in this episode to some of the great battle scenes of our time, it has to be at the top. Up there with Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, Patriot, Last of the Mohicans, Dancing with Wolves, Road Warrior, The Outsiders, Kill Bill, Spartacus, and some others whom I can't remember.
As someone pointed out earlier, whenever there is a battle in this series, you always wonder, what characters are going to survive and why. I was taken aback in the previous episode when the Mountain "won?", I guess you could say won. I thought for sure he would die and save the Imp.
But, may no mistake, this was one of the most intense battle scenes I have ever seen ever. You really are hanging on every second.
Just masterful film making.
Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Brilliant
Storyline, effects, casting, and especially the music!! My son is now a huge music fan of the 60's, 70's and 80's because of this movie!!! I can't wait for the next one, even it's one of those "wequals" The Groot character was by far my son's favorite character and who could blame him- he's fantastic. Really, really well thought out. Chris Pratt is no part of a few of my favorite movies and show. I thought he was brilliant in Zero Dark Thirty, especially considering he's Andy on Parks and Recs.
I'm sure there are those critics who will dislike because it's "unrealistice" or has a Hollywood ending, or that they feel that the humor wasn't funny enough. Well, go rent some documentary on stamps because you don't appreciate quality when you see it.
