Hijack (2023)
The ending was awful and unsatisfying
Most of the characters were unbearable, including Idris Elba, but luckily his acting held it together. The ending was honestly pretty lazy with a final on board sequence that's masking as a climax though it's completely purposeless and then it just ends. No reconnection with his kid that we've not seen him interact with, or reactions from his two dimensional wife, no consequences for the bigger political calls, it just ended. They introduced all these characters and instead just ended it. We don't even know what happened to one of the villains and his mysterious bodyguard. Very disappointing. They also bring in the bigger financial/marketplace impact and don't address what will happen there in the end either.
Get Organized with the Home Edit (2020)
What a Waste of Time
Watch as they take stuff out of boxes and debate putting it into other boxes. Wow
If you were hoping to learn something, you won't. Just go to the container store instead 👌
Last Night in Soho (2021)
Visual fantastic and what a fun time. Just missing a bit of backstory/substance
I absolutely loved this movie. It did what a movie is supposed to and brought me into another world. I was immersed and entranced, but the one thing I didn't get was enough of a reason to be so immersed and entranced. I wish we had more back story on the main character and her mother. In the end I realized I didn't really know our protagonist so I was rooting for the actress instead of the character. Which did make some of these beautiful scenes fall a little flat.
With all that said the post-production was absolutely fantastic. Genius edits and sound design which guided me emotionally through the piece.
