The story is about a cop works against his country's corrupt government in order to find justice on a case. "La Soga" is set in the neighborhoods of the Dominican Republic and Washington Heights, New York. This Dominican film has good production values for a low budget and delivers good acting from the main characters and most of the cast. Another point in favor is that the movie flows in a good pace BUT the story feels empty, cliché with flaws and lack of depth to make the viewer feels what is told. "La Soga" is entertaining but uninteresting piece of Dominican cinema. At the end La Soga (rope) didn't tie me up hard.

I sincerely consider this movie as another poor effort of Dominican Movie Industry. The first 30 minutes of the movie are a little funny but then when they switch their role in the society (men doing what women usually do and women doing what men usually do) the movie falls. Becoming boring and not funny at all. They let many things without explanation and the end of the movie is predictable. I didn't like the way as a Roberto Angel played his character and his little either. I went to the movies theater hoping to see a good work but I went out really disappointed.

I don't recommend this movie.

I don't know why many people have reviewed this movie as awful, I didn't pay attention to those review and I saw the movie lat night and it worth the price of the ticket. Sharon Stone's acting is great. One of the best Femme Fatale. She is in the 40's and still look hot. Great face and body. The history is good and, the acting is great, I would to see Sharon Stone. I think that the problem with the movies was that they last too long to film it, more then a decade. I would like to see a 3er part if there are plans of filming it.

I recommend this movie. Don't pay attention to the review and see it. And try to make your own point of view.

I went to see this movie last weekend, expecting a great movie. But it was not, I just got bored as everybody in the room, because I felt distracte and start to watch the people and they were the same as me, then I started to feel the chair unconfortable, and very regretted about going to see this movie.

I told the friend who went with me that we had to go to play pool instead of

going to the movies.

I expected a better movie, at the end everybody was just talking about the waste of money, the trail are better than the movie. But i have to admit that have a good direction and good acting.

I give a 8 to the village trial, and a 5 of 10 to the movie.
