Planet Earth III (2023)
Great-but manipulating
I love these shows about nature and wildlife so much! This is a great series, the only complaint I have is how every episode, towards the 3/4 mark, has some tragedy befall the creatures, only to find a few minutes later that the creatures are fine and well. It is an obvious attempt to emotionally manipulate and I don't like it.
The scenes of nature are beautiful, and the scenes with various wildlife and sea life creatures are wonderful too.
Highly recommend for all ages! I hope the folks that produce this show will lay off the emotional manipulation in the future, it's completely unnecessary and detracts from the greatness of the show.
Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me (Film Version) (2022)
Stop Whining Already
I really love Selena in "Murders in the Building" and like some of her music as well. I am so disappointed that this documentary ended up being yet ANOTHER celebrity whining continuously about how their game has overwhelmed them. I also suffer from autoimmune disease, and can tell you this, it's a LOT easier dealing with chronic diseases when you have enormous wealth and resources like Selena (or other celebrities in her status).
Someone needs to remind Selena that it's as easy as not putting herself out there, in a profession that requires a public persona, and retire to a place that does not value celebrities for the sake of celebrity status alone. She has enough money, and if she is losing her mental health, why continue preforming? It's amazing what people will go through, and incessantly complain about, to have their ego stroked 24/7.
The Old Man (2022)
Season 2 - Dogs Only
Spoilers- I really don't know how I got through the whole 7 hours of this series in 3 days. I kept telling myself it was going to get better, episodes 1and 2 were good, but it just got worse and worse. I deduced that Emily/Angela was the daughter of Fazud in episode 4 so, for me at least, there was not even any big revelation at the end.
The ONLY way I would consider watching a season 2 of this EXTREMELY BORING show is if they moved the story to follow the advantages of Dave and Carol (the dogs) and made them the main focus and protagonists.
Also, the Zoe character would have to be gone completely, not even allowed back as a support role. Her presence in Season 1was distracting and made the viewing experience very unpleasant.
Leverage: Redemption: The Jackal Job (2021)
Loved this Episode!
This was one of my favorite PN ( post Nate) episodes so far. It was twisty and turny and keep me guessing until the end.
I love h the at the team is really yelling at this point and, although the team dynamic is a little altered without Nate, it works really great for the team.
I would have given 10 star rating, but I miss Hardison still.
The Walking Dead: No Other Way (2022)
Glad we're almost done
This episode, as said previously, felt like a bunch of filler. Most of us hard core fans have known from media reports that our WD group would end up being assimilated into the Commonwealth and this season, from the beginning in the season's Part One group of episodes, has felt like obvious manipulation to get there.
The interactions of Negan and Father Gabe were very good, although I wish there had been more.
I have to admit, at this point, FTWD is putting out a much better and suspenseful show.
Black Mirror: Striking Vipers (2019)
So bad I watched my phone almost whole episode
I have no issues with the gay theme, I have issues with how BORING and creepy the deception was. I literally kept looking at my phone for Insta updates, because literally ANYTHING would be more interesting then watching these two grown men, that obviously love each other, keep denying themselves and screwing over people they care about.
SO BORING!!!!!
