The Gracefield Incident (2017)

This was not the worst movie I've ever seen, was it the best? No, but it kept me entertained, on the edge of my seat and had some good jump scares. Found footage is not my favorite, but they did a decent job at switching back and forth from the main characters pov to regular shots. I did enjoy their take on the alien and its ship. There are times that i was hoping the main characters would stop screaming like lunatics, but it wasn't bad enough for me to turn it off.

I was not expecting to see great acting or any kind of award worthy film, just watch it and enjoy it for what it is, the random movie you saw on Amazon.

The Stranger (II) (2020)

I just finished watching all episodes in one go and found overall it was a fun thriller. This isn't supposed to be something that wins awards or people gush about, it keeps you guessing and doesn't disappoint.

American Horror Stories (2021– )

Not for the die hards

Let me start by saying the the AHS series has been mostly miss for me. Story lines drag and just become boring. I wanted to give this show a shot since it is an anthology and I personally like it better. There is a full story and that is it, nothing more, nothing less. Most of the people I know who don't care for it are the OG AHS fans and I get that, but for those of us that are just outside of the circle, thus hits the mark for me.

The Little Mermaid (2018)

Potential lost

I remember hearing about a live action little mermaid and hoping it would be more like the actual fairytale, but after seeing the preview I was interested in the change of story. The cast was decent and to me the acting wasn't dreadful. I feel like the heart of the movie was left on the cutting room floor. The story didn't make me care about any of the characters, so I couldn't get invested in the story. In the end, I didn't hate that I spent time watching it, but I would like to know if the finished product is what was originally intended.

Seven in Heaven (2018)

Watch for what it is

I enjoyed this movie. Was it profound? No.Did it make you question your existence? No. What it was was a decent flick with a decent plot and I didn't hate that I used 1.5 hours of my day on it. It's a good movie for the Halloween season. Just give it a chance.

A Star Is Born (2018)

10/10

Just wow!

This movie is one of the best collaborations that I have seen in a very long time. The chemistry between Gaga and Bradley Cooper was believable and honest and also heartbreaking. I went in not knowing exactly what to expect and was blown away. I will see it again and will own it once it is released. This is one of the movies you feel in your gut and that is rare.
