Isanghan byeonhosa Woo Young-woo (2022)
The Love Story Arc is so Pure
Read other reviews to find out about the attorney and law suit arcs but it was the love story that kept me coming back! Every woman dreams of being loved (or at least liked) by a suitor like Jun-ho! My heart melted as Young-woo and Jin-ho's relationship developed over the 16 episodes. I hope we get a second season so we can see it develop further.
I watched it in the original language with English subtitles. I like to hear the characters real voices and intonations to help me better understand what was happening. As at least one reviewer pointed out, the translation could have been better. But catching the tone from the actors solved most of that.
This show is a true gem!
The Out-Laws (2023)
Need a Laugh? Lots to be had!
Not my usual genre but I was in the mood for some silliness and The Out-Laws delivered. Plenty of sight gags, one liners, and a ridiculous plot. It could have been a family friendly movie but there are a lot of crass remarks related to sexual organs and sexual acts that in my opinion aren't appropriate for children. At least not if they are watching in the same room with their parents! 🤣 I think it could have been just as good without those jokes.
There was one of the funniest chase scenes I've ever seen! Very clever! I also found the guard dog scene a hoot! Again, there was a very clever angle to it! Not spoiling so you'll have to watch!
The actors all did a great job with these over-the-top comedic roles. I've never seen Pierce Brosin play an undignified character before and he really pulled it off!
