what the 1000th episode should have been
31 May 2024
This is probably the best episode of one piece so far (and by far).

I usually hate flashback episode because it's mostly just reused assets (over and over and over again).

But not this time. This time the animation, style, and overall quality of the episode was out of this world (especially for one piece). It was emotional, epic, some amazing scenes like at the end.

It was really very special and the characters they picked to be in this episode made it even more so.

That's why I don't think this episode will be topped anytime soon and I'm sure I'll be rewatching this episode again because it's that special!

finally a great episode
26 May 2024
It's been a while since I stopped and actually enjoyed an episode of one piece without just skipping through the useless parts.

This episode was not only well animated, it had so much attention to details, post production, hell even singing.. present new characters and we get to have the whole crew together in what feels FOREVER since last time it happened.

I don't kid myself in believing this level of production will happen again in the next 100 or so episodes; but when it happens you got to enjoy it.

I expected the episode to be rated much higher considering all of this but I guess some people have to hate something for the sake of it.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Evening Festival (2023)
Season 2, Episode 7

Where is this going?
10 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Ok this episode like the previous one is losing me.

I loved the first half of the season because it had a story and good balance, but this is turning more into a showcase of what MAPPA can do than anything else.

Yeah the first part of the episode is entertaining, they went hardcore dynamic animation, it's fun I like it but why?

Why doing a complete Evangelion ripoff? I mean I'm all for easter eggs and such and it's fun to see a studio/creator add a little hint or.tribute to a well known title but this is pushing it at this point.. from the design, to the animation to the cockpit design, the "time" limit, the SCREAM, everything seriously.. was is just MAPPA wanting to flex on gainax or something?

That got me out of the episode completely by the end of the fight.. fight which outcome was settled before it even started.. which begs the question: why? Why do all this?

Maybe the next few episodes will bring some answers but so far the season is all over the place.

If I had to rate the studio's performance I'd give them a solid 9, but for the fun and story since the goto arc is finished, nothing more than a 4.

I hope things pick up from here (and not just by killing off characters "because it's the cool thing to do to be edgy")

The worst character in a movie
15 June 2023
I can't believe how one character managed to ruin a whole movie by himself. Yes the movie isn't great or remotely good, but Keanu Reeves could have pulled the movie from being a total waste of money.. And here comes jaiden smith.. Oh boy, I've never seen such an obnoxious character in my entire life!

I didn't know at first it was him but I had an hunch until I came here to see if that boy made any other movie after that disaster.. And yes with a name like that of course he did, against all odds and reason of course.. Just check after earth from daddy and son to know what true horror means.

Long story short the sfx aren't great but are decent enough, the story lost most of its interest since the original movie with the same name had a better reason to exist. The cast was ok until jaiden got in there for some reason.. And him alone managed to ruin the whole movie more than it deserved.

As much as I avoid any will Smith movie since wild wild west, I'll make sure to never watch a movie with him either in it from now on. Time is too precious to waste it like that.

Am I getting too old for this?
11 February 2023
This phase 4 of mcu ending with this makes me realize I'm maybe too old for this.. Or maybe those movies are getting plain bad.

And this black panther was the worst in my opinion.

The cgi weren't bad, the action scene while not great weren't bad either per say.

But almost three hours of empty dialogues and boring ceremony was just too much to take.

We get it, they wanted to make this movie emotion, RIP Chad, but this was a terrible way of doing it.

I'm not one to hold my tears whenever a tears jerker moments shows up in a movie or series.. But in this movie? All I wanted was for it to be over and move on.

I'm not looking forward for the next black panther movie that's for sure.. As for phase 5 of mcu we'll see but it doesn't look great from this phase at least..

Old school game adaptation
29 December 2022
This series reminds me of the 80s and 90s when game adaption meant disaster.

But even if you put everything aside like the Witcher's TV series, the Henry's drama, the original material etc.. This series is just plain BAD.

The acting is terrible, despite hiring some big names I must say, the story is lackluster at best, the 3d fx are so unbelievably BAD it's just cringe (in the first episode when that sort of dragon thingy showed up with animation worthy of the ps1 cinematics I just turned everything off and went to bed), and it sums up the series.. Everything feels off, outdated, unoriginal, hard to follow with all the jumping around, so even without the Witcher's name this series would simply be one of the worst I've watched, and for sure the worst of 2022.

And to think that the trailer at the end of season 2 of the Witcher actually looked nice and interesting, I didn't expect a masterpiece, but I sure didn't expect such a terrible mess.. To be forgotten, and it doesn't bod well for season 3 of the Witcher it seems..

Rick and Morty: Juricksic Mort (2022)
Season 6, Episode 6

One of the best episodes
4 November 2022
This is one of the best episodes I've seen in a long time.

Actually the previous season and the start of this one didn't feel great, it was lacking something.

Something that is finally back in episode 5 and 6 (this one) finally laughing hard as Rick gets back to his old self, bring back comic bits that made this series great to begin with.

The story itself for this episode was good but the execution was great.

They way they closed up the story arc in a very un climatic way was just perfect, ballsy and perfect.

They could have dragged this whole thing more but they didn't and that's great Rick and morty content for me.

It was cynical, it was funny and it was what was missing from the show for too long.

Lots of pop culture references as well in this episode, but mostly good ones and well executed

Rick and morty for a thousand years!

What with the review bombing?
25 September 2022
Seriously I don't get the current score of the movie. Is it some old fans of the 80s or some fans of the more recent series that are angry at the new rotmnt or something? Whatever it is it's stupid because while I'm an 80's kid myself this movie was simply amazing.

And I didn't even watch the new show nor even knew it existed to be honest.

That being said and past the surprise of turtles having powers (and why not for god sake it's a fantasy show, just roll with it), the animation, voice acting, art style, the animation (yes I know I wrote it twice, it's that good), everything come together to fill your eyes with sparkles with little to no down time to get bored (like it was often the case with turtles movies).

Also special point for the krangs, they're bad asses, like no more of the stupid moron bad guys we're used to in cartoons, those guys are the real deal, they're evil and they don't waste time to trash everything and everyone in their path and they do it in style even.

All in all it shows this have been made by kids from the 80's who grew up and now are in charge of making those animations and fixing what was pretty gringe back then.

It was amazing and if only for the animation this movie deserves a watch, it's really that good, and the ending scene is phenomenal on that part.

Sad some people compare a movie to a TV show
11 September 2022
Let's be clear, this is a great TV show, on par with the best looking ones like fondation and the likes.

But stop comparing Jackson's lotr to this.

First of all it's not a rehash of lotr, the story is completely different and it's not from the books either, so comparing Tolkien's book or Jackson's movies is irrelevant, period.

So now if you start fresh it's amazing.

It looks fantastic, it feels fantastic and the magic is there.

Discovering the mines, the beautiful elven cities and more (not naming them for possible spoilers..) is amazing, it's eye candies

So yeah the story is revealed slowly and so are the characters, but it's a TV SHOW, they don't wanna wrap it up after 6 episodes, and neither do I btw.. So yes enjoy the ride, take it slow and have fun, you'll have a great time

Only complain to me is the music.. It's not bad but yeah not everyone is hans Zimmer but it's still decent...

what is happening?
20 December 2021
The more I watch season 2 (aside from the first episode), the more I wonder what is going on?

The witcher was special and unique, and people liked it for that matter.. now they're turning this into some game of throne, but bad.

Nothing make any sense, the characters are anything but interesting nor appealing or in line with what they're supposed to be All the other witchers are trash low life at best, and everything else is turning into some political twists and turns.. if I wanted to watch game of throne, I'd just watch game of throne

Also hate what they're doing with ciri, giving her a fan boy club even, like what is this turning into?

I have little hope for the rest of the season to be fair, I just don't understand how they turned such a good series into "that" for no reason..

Worse is, the first episode of season 2 was actually in line with season 1 and was a pretty good start if anything..

The Lion King (2019)

Schyzo remake
1 April 2020
First of all sorry for the CGI team, if anyone did a good job on this hot mess it was them.. Technically there isn't much to complain about.. But artistically.. Oh God where to begin?

This movie should simply not exist.. Why make a remake of a master piece cartoon that happens to be a musical and turn it to a realistic documentary style without assuming the songs they added to it? Pick one, make it realistic or keep the original with a new polish, but you can't have it both way, that movie is a very harsh demonstration of that truth..

I guess for the ones that never watched the original they might think this is actually an OK movie, but as soon as you have it side by side in your head, everything become clear, it's a destruction of what made the original a timeless classic.

The characters are lifeless, that's the first thing you'll notice, they're dead inside for the most part.. Which is actually realistic, zazoo being an horn Bill looks perfect but his eyes doesn't convey anything anymore, same goes for rafiki and worse of all the lions (maybe scar is the only one that kinda have some expression.. Which is the dead inside expression he had in the original!)

When the first song (aside from the opening) starts you can see the style doesn't work, simba barely open his mouth, it's like he's not the one singing even, the fun is gone.. And you thought timon and pumba would change that? Oh god it's even worse!! Timon speaks like in the comic animal dubbing from the 80's,just snapping a dub on top of animals being filmed..

The famous Disney dubs, that would be great no matter what in whatever language? GONE! How can you mess up the dubs for the first time while doing that remake? I saw it in English and French and they're both miserable, I couldn't believe it.. Was it the dubber's fault? Probably not, it's just no voice can fit those characters.. Just like adding a voice to your cat or dog would sound weird, well there you go, that movie was flawed by essence because the team couldn't decide on where to go with this remake

I would have loved to see a realistic version of this, no song, no voice even, something that feels more like one of those Disney documentary, that would have been something worth watching just for the quality of the cgi work!

Anyway if you're still pondering if you should watch this or not, just don't save yourself the nasty taste this will leave in your mouth, go watch the remastered version of the 1994,it's timeless, never disappoint in any way.

what with the high ratings?
21 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously how can this movie gets such an high rating with so much 10/10 and such? I'm not gonna drop a 1/10 on this, it's not BAD or awful as some DC movies, but it's probably one of the worse MCU movies easily..

Sure I had high hopes for this after endgame but it's just a teenager eurotrip movie, I cringed so hard all movie long, if it wasn't for my gf I would have honestly stopped and do something else some scenes are really nice, but then again Dr Strange was actually more impressive with VFX and it came years ago.. All that teenager thing really ruined my experience for me, the story was paper thin, just stretched behind a wall of "shocking reveal" (gosh that reveal scene was terrible, lazy writing at its best)

There are tons of loophole in that movie starting with the elemental that just DON'T work, at NO point do they explain in the movie how they make them work! drones just shoot shockwaves, flames and bullets but they do not produce heat like the fire golem would nor throw millions of liters of water around town and so on I know it's a super hero movie, not interstellar or the martian, but still make it at least plausible not straight down silly

There are some redeeming factors, and I'm mostly talking about the post credit scene which makes you actually want to see what's coming in the next movie, or Jake's acting that was great (though a bit too much at the beginning), but as for "far from home" it's probably one that I'll never rewatch ever again.. it serves no purpose, it's random, it's executed poorly, might as well not exist it wouldn't change a thing for the MCU (except if the whole point of this movie was to give away peter's ID.. or they might just dismiss that within the first few minutes of the next movie, then in that case just forget all about this movie for real)

Bottom line: as disappointing as it could get.. and MORE!

Aladdin (2019)

where's the magic?
17 August 2019
For a movie based of magic and genie it's sure lacking this magical feeling we had 27 years ago.. what a counter performance I must say.. I'm not gonna rant on about Disney being lazy remaking every movie in new 3D/realistic form, if only it would bring something I'd be all in

but Aladdin just proves the contrary the charm is gone, the actor playing Aladdin is just some random chap that might have traits close to the cartoon one but that is it, and that isn't enough, Jasmin is off in every aspect, Jafar? let's not get started on him or Iago.. my god my favourite macaw in history, who actually sparked my love for birds when I was a kid just looks like a MEAN angry parrot now, probably the most ruined character of the whole movie despite his gorgeous 3D rendering.. it just doesn't belong in this movie

of course I kept Genie for last, will smith isn't even the issue per say, his acting wasn't actually bad, it's just not doing it, the blue sparkling 3D/2D genie thing feels off and awkward, I didn't get that smile on my face as when I do with the original version, and as for Apu well that's just bad, while Iago is totally out of character, Apu is just poorly rendered and I just wish it wasn't there

All that put together you just end up with a movie that you wish would end sooner so you can say: "ok done, seen it, let's move on"

While I've been rewatching the 1992 version quite a few times I'll say for certain this was my first and last visioning. The only redeeming factor I could see is that people watching this "new" version today might feel like giving a look at the old version and discover what magic feels like

Very disappointed in Disney on this one, made me skip Lion King completely not to ruin my childhood love for this master piece like I did with Aladdin

Poor, random and inconsistent
18 July 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This is typical from DC movies/animation, while everyone moved from their origins laid out in the 50's or so, they just decide to stick to it, ignoring the fact we're in 2019, making everything feels out of place, out of time.. Talking about time when you mess with it with time travel you better be equipped for it.. And they were not, bringing all sort of inconsistencies, the cheap kind, like at the end when the new justice league comes from the future.. But why now? Why pick the date at the end of the fight with one of them dead instead of going back before the fight, hell even before they get attacked at the very beginning of the movie.. Anyway, a movie aimed for kids, nothing else, but even with that in mind it's barely any better than an episode of some series, so yeah it doesn't deserve a 5/10 for me

surprisingly amazing (no pun intended)
22 April 2019
From Sony I didn't expect much, after the first 2 trilogies (the second one being cut short one movie, saying how bad it was) I didn't want to get my hopes up for this Especially since the last Spiderman homecoming was really GOOD, it was so far the best spidey movie by a long shot.

The trailer was promising but it often is so I didn't want to put much trust into this.. but boy was I WRONG! this movie is amazing in so many ways, it's funny, it's packed with action, great design, the sound track matches perfectly, and even the odds parts of the movie (yeah spiderpig and manga version I'm looking at you) ends up being ok (they're just a tiny part of the movie anyway).

There are plenty of scenes that makes you laugh out loud or gasp at how pretty it is! Sure the story isn't anything special, I'd say it's not the point here, you spend time watching an art piece and enjoy it

I'm just hoping they'll release a second one after this, and as a side note, the post credit scene was just the best of all the Marvel movies (MCU included), so thanks Sony for finally making something worthy of the brand!

The Walking Dead: Wrath (2018)
Season 8, Episode 16
4/10
how does it get such high rating?
15 February 2019
Ok first of all this season was the worst to me. season 7 wasn't all that bad, but it should have ended the Negan ark by the end of season 7 and move on, instead we drag on and on until this episode..

what to say about it? not much really, they wrapped it all up, scenes I've forgotten the moment the episode ended cos honestly there is nothing to remember from all this. oh and it's a finale? yeah well if it was the series finale I mean why not, there, things are done, it's over, the end. but there is another season after this and why would you wanna watch it after that? there is no hint, no cliffhanger, no nothing, it's just a pathetic episode, very forgetable one.

I don't remember much of season 8 already, only thing is it seems new zombie artists, cool stuff, but it looks like glitters on a pile of garbage, it's just for the show, it brings nothing to the serie, zombies scene are still as bad as ever, people getting caught ridiculously here and there, can't outrun a crawling zombie and whatever. so yeah anyway, it's bad, the worst season finale of the serie by far. I dunno how they'll pick from there, but compared to season 6 finale that has an awful rating on imdb, while it was pretty good and memorable to me, this episode don't deserve this, it's bad, plain and simple.

what is wrong with the rating?
21 May 2018
So here I am, after wasting over 2:30 of my life on a movie that was SO highly rated I couldn't skip, I had to see it through (sadly I took my parents along, and my dad not being a big fan of cinema hated it so much I doubt I'll ever be able to make him watch another movie with me ever again, thanks), I really thought things will pick up at some point, that there will be a plot, action, drama.. ANYTHING..

But no, there is nothing, long silences, embarrassing scenes, irritating music.. the plot? I'm not even sure, some guy that gets rich, looses it at some point without too much of a reason.. Anyway not gonna list all the things I hated about this movie, there are too many, only good things I can point though is the actors, mostly good, some under used for whatever reason.. but yeah that's about it

as for the rest I wish the review wasn't some hype train rating, this movie deserves at BEST a 6/10, at which point I would have been a lot more careful to decide to watch it or not, and I wouldn't have put my dad through this for sure.. to me it's not even worth 5, only a niche kind of audience can appreciate that kind of cinema.. yeah the kind that lurk on online reviews and biais the rating like that..

So to sum it up, that movie was just pure hype, I'm not even sure most people saw it whole, but the name rings nicely for sure.. other than that it's a terrible movie, so unless you're on your own to watch it, save your friends/family, don't make them go through 2:30 of that

seriously, DON'T do that
25 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I caught up with supergirl episode to watch this specific episode, thinking it might be a good crossover or something..

so not only was it a pain to watch season 2 or supergirl (which is terribly bad)but to end up on that musical episode it's like *insert gross imagery* on top of a slice of *insert another gross imagery* I don't mind musicals, but if I want to watch one there is glee out there, and many others.

this episode was just garbage, not the props, the actors etc, just the whole concept was bogus, and making it a crossover was just a terrible excuse, it could have been flash only, would have spared me the pain of watching supergirl And I might add I'm even more angry at the production to play this trick as the season 3 or flash seems to be filled with filler episodes and non sense, they just ran out of ideas (grudd on two episodes seriously, I can watch movies with monkeys invading that are much more satisfying) etc... I don't know if they planned a season 4 of the flash but it will be without me, this episode was just what tipped me over

such a waste of money
22 July 2016
I won't start summing up the mistakes, the plot holes, the not funny one liners and so on here, because it's simply every single scene of the movie I don't even know where to start because of that simple fact. Nothing holds up here, the whole movie has that 80's/90's feeling, with cheesy and corny writing, except back then the backgrounds and aliens were plastic puppets and kinda funny to re-watch.

but this is such a waste of good money, the CGI are decent (thus the 2 stars instead of 1), but with that kind of budget we could have had like 2 or 3 even district 9 movie for instance instead of that preteen movie.

I'm the first to love leaving my brain at the door step to enjoy movies like 2012 and such, but this is so poorly put in motion that everything (I stress the EVERY) feels wrong, not funny, not anything This is one of the most catastrophic movie I've ever seen (thus coming here to leave a review to warn people not to waste their time on this). Even the first movie was better, or the first Hulk movie, who used to be my reference as to what a terrible movie can be.

I hope there won't be a third movie, I didn't bother of course waiting the end credit to see if there is an hint for that though they sadly leave the door open for it.. just please don't, save your money for real scripts

The 5th Wave (2016)
6/10
another teen movie à la hunger games/divergent/maze-runner
7 February 2016
Warning: Spoilers
that's the new trend in Hollywood, those trilogies made with kids/teens for kids/teens. while hunger game came kinda first (am not counting movies like battle royal etc) it has some ups and downs but the following like divergent or the giver were real let down and I didn't want to bother with those movies again, and I didn't see the 5th wave coming.. it looked like an alien invasion movie, Chloe doesn't look too kiddish (even though her roles in kick-ass) so I expected a movie more like war of the worlds maybe, kinda serious, with some end of the world theme like 2012 or the happening maybe... and the beginning is good! it's serious, it's dark and best of all it's plausible!

If an alien race would want to wipe out humans they'd probably do things along those lines more or less, but it was good to see something like that.. but in no time it shows its real face: another teenagers trilogy movie!

so if you're tired of watching kids save the world while having a side love story to "spice" up the teenagers hormones well just skip this movie, it's all it is about

and it's a real shame, they had budget, they had decent actors, they just messed it up. Mazerunner (the first) managed to have teenagers and make a good movie out of it, even with its flaws, the 5th waves did it the other way around, they had a good movie's ideas, and turned it into a 18- movie.

and for the love of god for the second movie stop it with the cliché, the inconsistencies like that girl pretending to be a bad ass and yet always wearing that black make up and tidy hairdo etc, it reminds me more of a Japanese anime than a real movie...

anyway I don't need to say anymore, if you liked the mentioned titles you'll probably enjoy this movie, but if you like movies such as district 9, the happening, 28 days later, the road and so on.. well go watch those again you won't be disappointed at least

Spectre (I) (2015)
6/10
Closer to a Marvel movie than a Bond one
20 November 2015
Warning: Spoilers
OK first thing first, I like the bonds movie with Craig, the series turned more serious and dark and yet felt like a real Bond movie.

That being said Spectre is just a 180° turn in the opposite direction Everything felt forced, from the dumb jokes to the action scene even!

OK from the start: The opening scene started out nicely, the day of the dead in Mexico, great setting, good feeling, shots are being fired and there you go, bond falls in a collapsing building.. on a sofa?! no no and no, it's not a Marvel movie, it's not even a Mission impossible movie, how can you decide to play such a lame joke first thing in the movie? at first I thought it was just a glitch that would have nothing to do with the rest of the movie.. sadly it wasn't! the whole scene in Mexico isn't bad though, probably the best bit of the movie by far I'd say, including the theme part with a nice song, not as flashy as skyfall but better in my own opinion, though casino royal stays the best by far

but what with the randomness in this movie? things happen without a reason, bond going to Austria to find "white" sitting downstairs with tons of screen for no reason and what not. The pursuit scene is one of the worse I've seen (with the Lucy one I must admit), running in circle in a totally empty Roma (guys, the capital of Italy? no cars, no bystanders, no nothing? is it a showcase of cars or some dangerous pursuit? and that old Italian guy listening to classical music in a Fiat 500 at 20km/h.. I mean comeon so much cliché in a single sentence hurts my feeling as a viewer when I go watch a james bond movie. I could name a ton more scene (sadly) like those, the most chocking would probably be the explosion scene in the desert.. with bond and his girl just turning back and watching a great fireworks, perfectly timed and managed, all that without moving an inch (oh by the way guys, a full blown explosion like that has to provoke some blast or something, you know like hairs waving or something at least?)

so yeah after the silly randomness comes the poor technique The photography is meh at best, lots of dark scene but poorly arranged, not much thought put into the lighting of the scene, some just added in post prod without much effort, giving it all a cheap look, or the washed white color during the torture scene (random much? oh and the super high tech thing obviously failed in so many ways) felt like watching a 70's bond..

And most importantly on the story side everything went down the drain.. It was supposed to be some kind of grand final of the previous Graig bonds, tying everything together and that would have been a GREAT idea, having some follow up between the stories.. except nothing ever come close to a story here. it's basically a super villain which happens to be bond kind of evil brother that rule all the other previous villain thingy.. yes that sums it up pretty well! what's his plan? setup some super spy network that link together some of the major countries intelligence resources (south Africa really?) so first of all when will any country give their intelligence away like that? but let's admit they would.. and let's admit that this "guy" can take control of it.. wait.. he already did before it's even up? he can use the cameras inside the MI6 in his super spy room thing (straight from the old bonds movie style) before all this network thing is up.. so why does he need that plan yet? well nevermind let's admit he needs more info or something...

what's his plan? steal some sex tape of rihanna or something? because I can't see the grand scheme behind all that.. the comparison with the meteor crashing down on earth and such.. can't see the relation, one can cause a big blast, the other? some minor nuisance at best We're being told he controls already a lot of pharmaceutic in Africa and such, which actually do sound like a big evil plan, that could perfectly be the reason why he's the bad guy and bond needs to take him down

Sadly for us that's all there is for a story.. randomness, you have to either completely skip the story part and stick with the character interaction or try to make up a story for yourself with the bits and pieces you have here

I can understand now and also relate why Craig wanted Spectre to be his last bond, I really like him and what they've done with the series so far but this is obviously the "one last" that should have been avoided

Sure some hardcore fans will probably enjoy all the easter eggs of the movie relating to the old bond movies, there are tons from the snow base to the car with all the toys in it, the base inside the crater reminding us of moonraker, that big guy looking like Jaws (once again why that dumb joke when he's about to die? it's not a Marvel movie for crying out loud!), octopussy with the spectre logo (looks more like an easter to me than a relation between spectre and an octopus by the way).

Other than that I really consider Spectre to be the weakest of the Craig series, and yes I prefer Quantum of Solace over Spectre, it had some consistency at the very least, the photography was better as well. Let's hope for the best for the next bond movie, starting out fresh, with or without Craig and a brand new story line, thought from the beginning to the end whole

Teen Titans Go!: 40%, 40%, 20% (2015)
Season 3, Episode 10
10/10
possibly the best episode of the entire series
30 October 2015
Warning: Spoilers
it's clearly not an episode for the usual watchers of the series, you have to know all the references from the 80's to enjoy it to the max transformers (one shall stand and one shall fall), tron, galaxy riders, heavy metal

and that SONG! it's rare to have a decent song usually in cartoons and anime, but night begins to shine is just one perfect song, it gives the episode that whole 80's feeling, am sure it would sell quite a lot on itunes if it were to be released!

the whole art style of the episode is just great, it counters those criticizing the series saying the style and animation is bad, not it's not, it's just an art direction, you might not like it and it's fair, but that studio is talented and they keep proving it

so anyway I'm gonna go rewatch the episode AGAIN and again now, and you should do the same!

Teen Titans Go! (2013– )
10/10
so much hate
28 October 2015
after reading a few reviews here I'm shocked that people can't seem to get over the fact that teen titans and teen titans go are two VERY different shows and meant to be that way

if you liked the original you might not like the new one and vice versa, it's as if you're comparing a spider man series with a batman one, it's just two different entities, it's quite easy to understand

but all the hate here on the reviews seem to come from the fact that some people didn't get over the fact that their show (the original one) been canceled and thus just throwing much hatred on this new series

I feel bad for people losing sometime their favorite show but it's no reason to waste this show for others

the design is different but it's actually very good, it's simple yes but it's meant that way and it FITS check out the episode when they go all "serious" (made me laugh a lot by the way), they can add details and such but only if it has a meaning like on that episode, if not then it's very fine that way, it's goofy, it's light and funny, brainless!

and I'm quite old compared to the targeted audience and yet am having a blast watching every single episode. Like I wrote earlier it's all goofy, the whole super hero thing is just a background for more silliness, nothing is to be taken seriously, or you'll just feel sore like some watcher obviously if you want more adult jokes then go for rick & morty which I absolutely love, but if you want simple, soft and clean jokes this will do perfectly, you can watch it with your kids and both enjoy it even

Robin is probably the best character of this series, the dub is perfect, BB and cyborg makes a great combo as well. I just hope the series will keep going as it is, and yes there might be some poor episodes here and there, but then again name me a single series that manage to be perfect on every single episode!

SO yes for the love god stop comparing the original series and TT:Go, if you want more titans just go watch young justice and hope that CN order more seasons of it, but just leave this series as the stand alone it's meant to be!

Tokyo Ghoul (2014)
3/10
Poor at best
15 April 2015
Well I don't get much of the reviews on this anime here..

I just finished watching both season.. while season 1 would have been more than enough with some study over the dominant specie and such.. nothing really original, seen that theme for instance in Chronicle (the movie).. but yeah why not? Graphic wise it's not bad, some will like, some like me will find it pretty generic, not the issue at hand Problem comes from the so called character development that so many here seem to praise.. it's typical from Japanese stories, the wuss that turns all badass overpowered for god knows what reason in matter of hours or days, same goes for the bad ass girl turning into a cry baby if to some it sounds like character development, to me it looks like a convenient switch to serve a so called plot purpose which at the end of season 2 still concern me...

As usual in anime we get those "heroic" moments which look SO out of style, so unrealistic to the limit that it just kicks your attention out of it and just wish the episode will end up faster to get over it.

Also we have those "mysterious" things that are supposed to make you go wooah, so COOL and stuff.. well it doesn't, I might grow too old for those things, cool poses, cool this cool that.. is NOT cool So while the first episodes of first season might look like some dark anime it's imply ISN'T, it's just the polish on a bland anime with random super power, some are totally useless gun fodder and some completely OP.. you expect that in anime like one piece or games like dynasty warriors, not in an anime that's supposed to be adult like and serious Soooo.. well am done with season 2, am not gonna bother checking if there is a third coming though there probably will be, since they added some "mysterious random white haired guy" at the end, some "shocking revelation totally not predictable" and so on..

if you want dark and gore go for Attack on Titans, if you want "dark" without the gore go for Full metal alchemist, if you need more gore go for terraformars, but I strongly advice you to stay away from this random anime that is tokyo ghoul

short version: it's bad
10 April 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Well am not gonna write an essay on this movie, it's just not worth it everything up to the idea behind the movie is way too messed up to sound even close to plausible..

Celebrities illness sold to hardcore fans by the thousands, cloned celebrities meat (yeah meat) sold for some fancy disgusting looking restaurant or whatever.. really? so in middle of that kind of messed up ideas you have that guy, he looks as messed up as the story he's stuck in, always speaking as if he's on heavy sedation, whispering horribly (hard to catch everything he says even)..

no matter what happen to him you can't feel any sympathy for him, or anyone in the movie for that matter.. you just look at them and hope for the movie to finish soon, there is no fancy twist in the plot or anything on the technical level the movie isn't all that bad even if it does look cheap (probably is a cheap budget anyway it doesn't really matter), but that's not the issue here...

really just save yourself some time, skip this movie, and while am at it, the ending is terrible, doesn't make much sense, the way the hero recovers magically and whatever.. gah there is no end to this badness!
