Star Wars: Jedi Knight - Dark Forces II (1997)
There's a better game.
First off, without this game, we would not have the sequels. So play it first or suffer at the hands of the excellent plot. This game was great fun, and is definitely worth playing, but:
The sequels are a lot better. They are among the best first/third person shooters ever made.
Try out the sequel (Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast) if you want an excellent single-player game, or Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy for the multiplayer game to end all multiplayer games (It's not JK3, as Kyle Katarn is not the hero). Outcast is not only great fun (whether or not you love Star Wars), the puzzles are unusually difficult. The lightsaber use has been refined far beyond where it was in Dark Forces II, and you now have a wide variety of special moves. Academy has all of this and more, as you can now fight with either one saber, two sabers, or a Darth Maul-style saber staff. The only problem is that the single-player campaign in Academy has no puzzles at all, as the game is basically built around multiplayer.
