Gossip Girl (2007–2012)

A VERY Guilty Pleasure.
4 September 2009
I am a late fan to Gossip Girl: I never really got into it when it was first on television and only really started enjoying it 3 months ago. I now LOVE it!! Gossip Girl is a pure guilty pleasure, with its amazing clothes, fantastic locations and great cast (not to mention good looking). Gossip Girl is a fun show that explores the main issues of teen life: relationships, life after school, social cliques, parental issues and partying (try finding a teen that doesn't care about any of that!!) The show focuses on a privileged group of teenagers, yet I think this adds to the shows appeal; its a fantasy life, one which a lot of teens would like to live. Like Victrola, Gossip Girl is "pure escape" and a lot of fun! Like I said a pure guilty pleasure, one that I am happy to repeat!

The Wind in the Willows (1984–1988)

Lovely.

As a child I ADORED The Wind in the Willows. The animation was beautiful with its picturesque scenery and realistic characters. The cast (including the likes of Sir David Jason and Peter Sallis) was fabulous and helped create a realistic world. The story lines were funny and kept true to the books whilst adding the flare of television. The stories were funny yet endearing and never over-the-top. There was just the right amount of silliness and was sometimes a little bit scary (nothing nightmareish though).

Children and adults alike will love this series, whether they are long-time fans or new.

A cherished classic, for those who love vintage animation and storytelling!!!

Good Fun
18 August 2008
OK, so this film isn't going to win any Oscars but it does deliver.

I saw this film this evening with friends (we're 18) and we had a good laugh and a good time watching it. Some of it#s content makes it quite a predictable teen movie but despite this the film is good fun and has some surprise moments.

For those expecting a tween film like What A Girl Wants this is not it! There's a lot of swearing, sexual reference and drinking which is more like the kind of things normal 16 year olds do. This film has more of an edge than your usual teen flick and will definitely appeal to a wider range of ages. So give it a chance, it might surprise you.

Buffy: One of the best programmes of the 90's/00's
6 August 2008
I read a lot of bad comments about Buffy and I really don't understand all the negativity. OK, I will admit there were some shaky episodes (especially in seasons 4 - 6 where it lost itself a bit) and went VERY dark in season 6. But looking at season 7 Buffy returns somewhat to its former self; Buffy and the Scoobies grew up and life got hard and they made bad choices, but isn't that what makes this show so good? There isn't always a happy ending and people die and this show is one of the few out there that actually targets real issues amongst all the drama and excitement that is television.

Buffy made an impact on so many people - just look at all the boards, websites, fansites... and its obvious to see; Buffy was created to entertain and to have an impact on people and thats exactly what it does. The characters are original, the acting is good, the story lines are exciting and unexpected things are always happening.

Buffy ran for 7 years because it was great and because the fans love it.

"Buffy is all about the fans." And isn't that the whole point?
