Overlong
27 January 2023
I can see why this was made and then released, so Snyder could finally get his vision out, over the mess made in 2017, but did he really need to double the duration? This film gets boring at times, specially when dialogue gets stuck/slow or slowmo is overused (99% of the time, trust me). Lots of nonsense around, along with unneeded storyline twists.

I won't go deeper into the cheesiness of lots of scenes, which is also unneeded. I won't go into a DC/Marvel battle, but I'm pretty sure who took their movies more seriously and who didn't. It's not that superheroes are all serious and all that (remember Spiderman) but this movie didn't deserve such a cheesy treatment.

After watching it, I was sure of just one thing: I don't want to watch this again, ever. I now enjoy the 2017 cut more that before.

Forget this and get the book
25 January 2009
As I say in the summary, forget this sorry excuse for a movie and get the book instead. I Bet you can get it at a very low price anywhere.

The acting in this movie is just horrible. The martians are annoying, but not the way they are in the book, they're annoying 'cause they're plain awful, both in acting and characterization. I've never liked remakes, but this a movie that really should be remade. In fact, all copies of this crap should be burnt, so people can forget about it and greet a new version.

If you want something for a Sunday of hangover fun, rent it, but don't complain if your brain melts...

Camp Rock (2008 TV Movie)

Nice music, horrible acting
27 October 2008
You may like "Camp rock" if you like music and musicals, but will surely hate it if you like good movies and acting.

The Jonas brothers can sing, but they can't act. Their characters, specially the one by Kevin Jonas, aren't very believable. Demi Lovato can surely sing too, and tries her best at acting, but she still has a lot to learn. She's young, so she has plenty of time to get it.

Another thing I can't see is why Alyson Stoner's talent (which she has shown several times during the last years) is used so little throughout the film.

Well, I don't know if there will be a Camp Rock 2, but I'm not eager to watch it.

By the way, as I already said, the music is quite nice. It's your usual stupid cookie cutter pop star stuff, but nice anyway.

Masters of Horror: Chocolate (2005)
Season 1, Episode 5

Interesting story
19 August 2007
While I was watching "Chocolate", I couldn't help thinking it looked a lot like Stephen King's horror novels, so I wasn't surprised when I learned it was written by Mick Garris, a die hard King fan.

It's not the stereotypical horror story with lots of blood and/or monsters from hell, and focuses on psychological horror, just like in the best Stephen King's novels. It's really worth a watch and if you like good horror stories you can't miss this one.

The acting is fairly good and the story is easy to understand and follow, with a very nice twist at the end. The only bad thing I see in it is that it is a bit short and the story has a few holes that could have been filled if it had been made into a full length movie and not just a TV series chapter. I really do think the script deserved a movie.

Ana y los 7 (2002–2005)
It's not rubbish,, it's crap
10 January 2005
I wouldn't define this show as rubbish, I'd rather say it's pure crap. The idea for the show is not very original (anyone remembers "The nanny"?) and most of the plots have been seen millions of times in any American show. I'm Spanish and I've seen lots of sitcoms from the USA and, in "Ana y los 7", I couldn't find anything I hadn't seen before. I know originality is something quite hard to find these days, but I don't really think what I'm asking is too much.

Well, that's it. Just another sitcom with all the prototypical characters you're supposed to find in such a show. If you expect deep plots, intelligent humor and believable characters, just look anywhere else, 'cause you won't find those things in "Ana y los 7"
