Funny People (2009)
4/10
NOT one of Adam Sandler's Finest shows.
2 August 2009
This should have been named "UN-Funny People". There was too much rude language and crude jokes about sexuality. Basically, I would say that it was aimed at the very group of people that was not allowed to see it without a parent in attendance; adolescents. The acting was, on the whole, rather good. The screen play was simply terrible.

The sole saving grace was the presence of Adam Sandler. Although, the character he plays is a shallow, self centered comedian/actor that has forgotten how hard it is to move up. When he is faced with possible death, he begins to re-think his values. Too bad he doesn't learn anything.

Seth Rogen does a good job of playing a young, struggling stand up comic that has managed to hold on to his moral standards. He has good intentions but goes about acting on them in the wrong way, thereby bringing unhappiness upon himself.

My suggestion is to save your money and if you feel you MUST see this show wait till it comes to DVD and rent it.

MacGyver: GX-1 (1987)
Season 3, Episode 6
Goofs
18 March 2006
When the GX1 flames out and the pilot ejects, you can see 2 people in the cockpit. There is obviously one person leaning forward against the shoulder straps. The second person can be seen (in profile)sitting in the rear seat. However, when the ejection scene is viewed you see only one parachute.

When the first GX1 engine flames out, the plane is in a turn and smoke is pouring from the right engine. However, in the next shot no smoke is visible.

The scenes of the GX1 being chased look very similar to shots from Top Gun.
