John Wick (2014)
Good action flick!
This is a good watch if you are into some mindless action. It really justifies Keanu's acting potential in style with the Matrix movies. The movie has a decent plot, although easy to figure out. Some lovable characters, especially Willem's!
However, as a Swede, I simply cannot get over the fact that even though Michael does a decent job with the acting, his accent destroys the credibility of his role. The dialect and accent is so obviously from a Scandinavian country and not near how Russians speak having learned the English language later in life. I cannot comment on the actual Russian dialect itself, but the English is way off. It's too bad really, he should've gotten help with a language coach to hit off that accent. It's easy for us Swedes to learn English, however, when done this poorly, it just becomes a bother.
All in all, 7/10 fruit loops.
Spectral (2016)
A decent sci-fi flick that you will enjoy
First things first, the movie itself it totally watchable. I even enjoyed it considering it has some fine connections to actual science and have worked that into the movie.
The visual effects are really nice and the acting is okay.
HOWEVER, the extremely bad video/sound editing puts me off. Scenes which looks like an old Jackie Chan movie, where the character speaks and the mouth doesn't move in unison. Which to me personally, is very frustrating.
If you like science fiction, give this movie a chance!
Tin Cup (1996)
A good movie about golf, but not relationships...
I am fascinated by this film, no doubt about it. It displays a great affection from the title character for the game of golf. However, his character itself makes me want to punch him in the face with a baseball bat. The way the character acts...
SPOILER ALERT!!!
... it just pisses me off beyond repair. He is a self-centered, worthless, girlfriend stealing asshole. With no respect for his friends nor anything for that matter except his blown up ego.
SPOILER ALERT END!!!
This movie however is a great film that is worth the watch, especially if you like golf!
