Coming of Age Faith Fim
17 March 2012
When I read the book Blue Like Jazz almost ten years ago, it made a big impression on me. As the book Blue Like Jazz is more of a series of essays than a narrative, I was curious as to how it would translate into a film. While the film fictionalizes the authors' story at Reed College, it still captures the heart of the book. Like many young Christians, Donald Miller struggles to make his faith own once he goes to college and looks at some of the stereotypes within the church and how we make peace with them. I enjoyed the film immensely, and I think that people who haven't read the book will like it too. A creative faith film that I hope many go to see!
