Insatiable (2018–2019)

Bad trailer but hilarious series some good themes and positive messages
13 August 2018
The show did not do itself any favours with the trailer. I watched it and rolled my eyes. Then I decided to watch the pilot and got sucked in. I had to come here to defend the show against the haters, after watching the entire series. Just like people who feel compelled to comment after only reading the title to a video, If you haven't bothered to watch the entire series STFU. The first episode is a bit iffy, but the series quickly hits its stride. It's hilarious, and had me laughing along. But one thing it doesnt do is fat shaming. In fact it has an important affirming message. Losing weight is not magic and will not fix all your issues. It will not fill the void. I hope there will be a series 2

Whitney (2011–2013)

I don't understand all the negative reviews
10 March 2012
I watched the pilot, despite or maybe because of all the negative reviews. I was curious to see what could garner so many negative comments. To my surprise, I enjoyed it a great deal. It's true that Whitney Cummings can't act and is a one note character. But the character comes across as charming, witty and funny. The writing, cast and her comic delivery makes the show works. Whitney and Chris have great chemistry together, and it comes across well in the live taping. They always look like they are about to break out laughing.

Okay so this isn't about to win best comedy of the year. But the writing is witty, often clever, and I enjoy all the high-jinx. The show has entertained me enough to keep me coming, week after week. It doesn't deserve such a low rating.
