Maybe those who gave 10 rating to this movie haven't seen the original. Yes, the movie is quite good if you haven't seen the original movie. Because the story is that good. But if you have seen the original, than you will feel that the original is still better in every aspect, from the chemistry, scenes, small details, etc. But what i feel that makes the original movie unmatched is the ending. The scene from the original is indeed much more moving. Even the dog act better in korean version. But overall, this movie is still quite decent to watch. Of course, It's still better than the Turkish and Philippine remakes.

This is a film about revenge. A man named Adam who had a wife and child. Someday during his birthday his family was robbed by three robbers. His wife and child were killed on that robbery. This movie is about the life of Adam 2 years later. Story like this are certainly not something new. But maybe in Indonesia movie like this has rarely been made. To be honest, this film has a lot of shortcomings, the whole film is only carried by Reza Rahardian's great acting.
The story in my opinion is too common and too simple. This film feels like picking stories and scenes from many similar films but with lower quality execution. There are so many coincidences and oddities that really don't make sense. For example: It doesn't make sense that all three robbers live freely without hiding after robbing and killing people. How is it possible that a guy can coincidentally be in the same car with a robber who has robbed his house and the driver doesn't even realize he is delivering him (all Indonesian online drivers will see the destination address when receive online cab order, the driver could reject it knowing the address is the house he ever robs in the past). How is it possible that the killer of his wife happens to be the younger brother of the girl he likes, I think this is too far-fetched a coincidence. A psychologist's question and answer session also doesn't feel like a psychological therapy counseling session. When Adam visits the Amanda's house, it's a bit strange that the one who cook the food is actually his brother who killed his wife, where are his wife and children at that time? Why aren't they showing up at all?
Beside some weird things i mentioned, there are so many other plot holes that in my opinion make this film feel less enjoyable.
Overall, the movie itself still acceptable, especially for Indonesian people who rarely watch movies. But for movie lovers who watch a lot of movies, i think this movie have too much weakness.
There are many better revenge themed films like Law Abiding Citizen, Peppermint, Brave One, etc.

Fajar Bustomi is one of the Indonesian directors that I like because of Winter in Tokyo and the Dilan movie series. Unfortunately, this film was not as good as those films. This film is based on the novel of the same name. The story of this film is about a girl who suffers from severe kidney failure, and she is dying. Before she dies, she wants to at least experience have a relationship with a boy. She chooses a boy named Glen as her boyfriend who will fulfill her 12 wishes before she dies. At first Glen reject it, but he finally accepts it because he felt sorry for her, and he wants to do something good in his life. Actually, I didn't have any expectations when watching this film. From the beginning to the middle of the film, this film is quite okay and acceptable. But from the middle to the end, there are too many scenes that are unnatural and seem a bit artificial, so it's quite difficult to relate and get carried away when watching this film. There are films with similar themes that are much better quality, such as Five Feet Apart, A Walk to Remember, The Fault in Our Stars, A Moment to Remember, A Millionaire's First Love, etc.

When watching this film, I actually did not know that this film was actually a remake version of a Korean film with the same title. I've watched the original film. The original movie is one of my favorites. I watched it several times and i deeply moved and touched by it even after watching several time.
Obviously when compared, this film is clearly not as good as the original film. What make the original version is so good is the chemistry between main protagonist. The problem is, it looks like this film copy the original film too closely but with lower quality in every aspect. The chemistry between the main protagonist is mediocre, the visual effects also seem cheap, the boxing scenes are also look stilted, and the ending scene is not touching at all like the original film. But overall, the movie isn't that bad. Especially knowing that this film was produced by Vivamax. So far Vivamax is widely known for its films that contain a lot of erotic scenes.
As conclusion, if you haven't watch the original, i recommend you to just watch the original. It's far better in every aspect.

Without a doubt, in my opinion this is the best Indonesian film of 2022.
The film is very realistic where many of the married couples in Indonesia will experience exactly like what happened in this movie. I even have a close friend with the same story to this film and he is divorced. A lot of marriage problems they face in the movie are also very natural. Many of the problems, we frequently encounter in our daily life, so we can really relate to their feeling, emotion on those condition. I also love the dialog between each characters in the movie. It remind me of Angga Dwimas Sasongko movies, that i considered one of the best for Indonesian movie.
"why do so many people want to get married?" and "Silent each other is as dangerous as cursing each other" are two of my favorite quotes from the movie.
The movie teach us that communication and opening up to your partner really important to survive in marriage. The storyline was just surprisingly uncomplicated but it can delivers strong messages to its viewers.
Very recommended to watch especially for young Indonesian couple.

masterpiece action scene but weird story plot

For action I can give this film 10/10. No need to doubt. Non stop masterclass action scenes throughout the film. But overall, this film is okay and far from mindblowing, especially from the story plot. I still can't understand how the entire police of a country desperately help the drug lord just to prevent the kidnapped kid from escaping. No matter how corrupt the police of a country are, I don't think there will be something like this in this film make it's too unrealistic (just feel weird watching the movie).
But a movie are still a movie. The main purpose of a movie is to entertain. From entertainment point of view, this film is clearly very entertaining and worth watching. Recommended to watch but not so special

Actually, this could be a great love story movie. I love the idea behind the story of the movie. It's unique and romantic. But there are a lot of unrealistic thing in this film that make me feel weird about this movie, such as (Beware this review may contain spoiler) : - How the globe round the sun in this upside down world - Where is the gravity? The concept of gravity in this movie is really weird. How people and objects not follow the gravity of the upside and downside world - After Eden drink a inverted glass, why the other glass are not inverted (gravity again) - How Adam can strong enough to wear 80 pounds suit and walk normally - Why suddenly there are a troops who sweep the wood? - The tie Adam wear doesn't float at first but after Adam run from Police, it's float. (gravity again) - Why Adam still alive when falling from that high of distance from upper world (when he land at the tree)
