The Rain (2018)
Immediately you can see...
When in the very beginning you see their mom's death caused by the girl deciding to open the hatch, you immediately realize that she may be stupid, the series may be stupid, but you won't be enough to dedicate your time to it.
There's just no patience for things like this... Oh, but she's a teenager, it could happen. No, it wouldn't. And if they needed to kill her mom, there I'm sure there's a million different deaths that would be more plausible. If writers can't make an effort, neither can I.
It seems someone is pushing the agenda for this series interest to be picked up again, but don't fall for it, there's a reason why the interest is not there.
John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023)
Absolutely amazing
One of the best movies I've ever seen at the cinema, perhaps only behind Lord of the Rings.
There are three or four moments of action sequences that are just incredible. I found myself smiling to what I was witnessing.
The movie was also extremely well shot, I can also remember a couple of camera views that were just perfect.
Osaka and Paris were also very well chosen places to film, it gives an extra humph of culture to the movie.
Great actors and characters, great acting, great production, and the best of action that you'll find out there.
Honestly amazed, surprised and impressed from what I saw, and I'm so happy I saw it at the cinema.
Fifth Gear Recharged (2021)
Love it
I love cars, and I feel there's been a gap in the market for this kind of show for a long time, a car show about cars (not forced childish games), and cars that you can actually consider buying.
I also haven't managed to keep up to date on the electric car market, so I'm appreciating the content. I have been surprised about what's already there and even more about what's to come in the near future.
Don't be distracted by climate change deniers, this show is just about cars, and electric cars are here to stay whether they want to accept it or throw their frustrations against a great tv show.
Vicky and Jason are legends that give the show an extra humph.
Andor (2022)
Got bored
I actually started liking the fact that it is a more down to earth Star Wars, that shows you what this universe looks like for common people, even though I found the wardrobe quite poor, those uniforms are a joke.
As for the story itself, as boring as it can get. The typical runaway man, running away from authorities, looking for the help of that friend that isn't happy about the situation but ends up helping anyway, the snitch.... Booooooring.
There's a reason why star wars is successful, and that's light sabers, lasers, and spaceships, not basic drama. The lead character is alright though, it's just that the story is really poor.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
Quite bad
Story is poor, characters are lacking, acting is bad, especially from the younger wannabe dragons. I liked Mograine's character and that's pretty much it. You hope it gets better but actually it only gets worse. Comparing this to The Witcher is just silly, and thinking Amazon may not be renewing with The Expanse only to be releasing poor series like this just makes me sick. There isn't much more to add, I'm just doing so because I need to write at least 150 characters.
Old (2021)
It's bad
I try not to judge a movie from its cover, but after movies like this perhaps I should.
The Green Knight (2021)
Facepalm
It's painfully dull to watch. I'm sure this is supposed to be one of those masterpieces for artists on whatever the latest high is.
The Witcher (2019)
Not for common viewer
You need to have played the game, to understand beyond what's presented to you in the TV series, and then you understand how well done it is. And it's going to get much better next season's.
Outlander (2014)
Could be so much better
There are times it feels like East Enders, but the worse are those poor decisions. So, we are in an era 250 years ago, where violence is as normal as waking up, then suddenly Jamie is in front on Randall, the man who almost slashed him to death, who made him a wanted man by accusing him of a murder he didn't commit, and who happens to be violently raping his wife in front of him. What does he do? Knocks him out and runs away. And then to justify this stupid non sense you get a corny narration.... Really? I can hear East Enders generic in my head as the episode ends.
A Feral World (2020)
3 stars is flattering
Because it is bad. The story, the acting, the picture, everything really. I saw the poor reviews but gave it a try anyway, which I hope I hadn't.
The Outsider (2020)
Could have been great
It started really well, but soon you realize that there is paranormal stuff behind it, and that sucks. The picture, the acting, it's good, but you will never get the same satisfaction you did during the first couple of episodes.
