Good DVD with major printing error.
24 November 2013
I saw this special on TV and found it very good so I ordered the DVD. The DVD itself is excellent, but the main menu page of the DVD has a glaring error: The title, instead of reading "As it happened: JFK Assassination, reads "As it happened: JKF Assassination"...in HUGE letters. I find it nearly unbelievable that the producers of this DVD allowed this very obvious error to go through. Other than this, the program is excellent. I give the product an 8 of 10 due to this error. The DVD, purchased through Amazon, is said to be a "made to order" product. I posted a photo on Amazon of the printing error. Does anyone have a suggestion on who else I could notify of this? It's a huge error and does bother me when I see it. They should fix it and send customers a corrected copy.

Unforgettable concert-why not on DVD?
29 July 2006
Like Ramiroserrano, I saw this concert on TV in 1979 and never forgot it. As a longtime ABBA fan, it holds a special place on my list of "must someday find" items. I liked ABBA's music before I saw the concert, but their performance of "Chiquitita" was so impressive and it was really then that I realized their true talent. Needless to say I bought the Voulez Vous album as soon as it was released. Why has the UNICEF concert not been released on DVD? If anyone hears of its release, please email me and let me know. Likewise, I understand the music was released on an album called "The music of UNICEF" which as yet I am unable to find. If anyone has a lead on this please let me know...Thanks

The Ghost of Flight 401 (1978 TV Movie)

A really intriguing story
10 May 2005
This very intriguing story about Eastern Airlines flight 401 which crashed in the everglades, is a really good movie that deserves a look for any who have not seen it. I taped it many years ago and occasionally take another look at it, as I did last evening. Apparently this was a made for TV movie, and is not available on DVD. I wish it was! The movie really gives one pause to think about all the things we really don't realize or understand about life and death. It contains a good cast and is acted well. Among the familiar faces are Ernest Borgnine and Russell Johnson of Gilligan's Island fame. If anyone hears of it becoming available, please let me know.

An excellent classic that needs to be made available
24 February 2004
I would just like to agree with the others who have said that this excellent John Wayne classic needs to be made available to the public..with all the Wayne material available I cannot understand why this one is not, I too have heard that the Wayne family has been opposing and/or delaying its release on VHS or DVD. As one pointed out, they are probably waiting for the "right time"...but it was also pointed out that if it is delayed too long then many of us who remember it will be gone! (that statement makes me feel old though I am only 45) But in general, it is a true statement, lets not wait too long! This classic needs to be made available to the public on VHS and DVD. All you Wayne fans speak up!

Very good classic movie
13 January 2004
I first saw this movie back in 1976 when HBO, I believe, was making a run of it. It was a riveting movie I never forgot; I taped it from network TV about 12 years ago, and I recently started watching it again. Next I ordered the VHS tape, which arrived today and it is excellent, including quite a few scenes that the network version omits. The only problem is, as one viewer points out, is that in this version there is no subtitles, so you miss some of the dialog in the parts that are spoken in German. (The network version includes the subtitles, but is missing some scenes). The sound quality on the prerecorded VHS version is quite good if played back on a VHS hi-fi deck with a good sound system. I wish this movie were available on DVD! If anyone hears of it becoming available on DVD, please let me know! Hopefully a future DVD release will address the subtitle problem. It is indeed surprising how little attention this movie got. I even ordered a couple of books on Heydrich from Amazon, as well as the novel "Seven men at Daybreak" on which the movie is based. I find that the movie is nearly completely accurate. An excellent movie that anyone interested in history should see at least once.
