Warning: Spoilers
Like probably most of the people who happen to come across this, I thought it was a direct to DVD sequel of the Skeleton Key with Kate Hudson. I've never been more wrong in my life. Even before the movie started just seeing the quality of the opening credits, I said to my girlfriend, this can't be a good sign. But it was definitely a sign of things to come. The opening scene consisted of a guy running down the sidewalk with the DVD of the movie you're supposed to be watching and for some reason his sticks his hair in his mouth and starts talking in an annoying high pitched voice. I was done after that. I skipped ahead a few scenes just because I couldn't believe this was the real movie but it just got weirder and weirder.

I'm still trying to figure out how the heck this garbage ended up on Netflix to begin with. It literally looks like some high school kids were bored and used their mom and dad's for a homework assignment. Skeleton Key 2...HA! Don't fall for the okie doke like we did. -1 star.

Wrong Turn 2: Dead End (2007 Video)

Its good enough to rent
17 November 2007
Wrong Turn 2 is pretty much everything you'd expect from a straight to DVD sequel to a horror film. A somewhat ridiculous storyline, with some corny lines, for the most part average acting some below average, and of course gore. You'll find that out pretty quick. There's not a lot of scare factor to this film as the "monsters" even with the horrid deformities seem almost comic like but still it definitely brings the gore. Even more gore than the first film and probably more than a lot of other big screen slashers but lets be honest, with this type of movie, without lots of gore it would just fail miserably so kudos to the director and his team on that. I also think it was a nice edition to make some of the "monsters" female. Henry Rollins also brought a nice sort of action element to the mix. Overall if you like gory slasher films, this is a good rental.

Watchable if you're a fan of the first
20 May 2007
While this movie could have been much better, it is what you might expect for a low budget sequel to a b-movie.

With that being said, I think the film recalls enough of the charm that made the first a borderline cult classic to hold the interest of those who were fans of the original. One returning character, one returning plot line, one returning minion.

So for fans, its a nice hidden rental when your Netlflix Que runs low on must-sees, especially if there other fans out they're like me who didn't even know there was a sequel. I happened to be looking to rent the original and saw this as well. It sat at the bottom of my list for a while but finally I decided to give it a chance and while not blow away, I was satisfied enough by the nostalgic cheesiness this film provided.

Pootie Tang (2001)

Funny..for 5 minutes
3 April 2004
Warning: Spoilers
Pootie Tang was funny as a 5 minute sketch on the Chris Rock show. But the movie just doesn't work to me. It's like being stuck on a plane next to a guy who keeps telling you the same joke. It goes from being funny to being painful. Chris Rock even admits how bad the movie was. And yes I know you're not supposed to understand him. Wow everything he says sounds like gibberish Sada-Tay Tippy Tow. You're right that just makes me change my entire opinion. This movie was great. *note sarcasm* The only parts that were kind of funny in the movie were at the beginning and the end. I don't want to give any spoilers but the best thing I could probably do for you is spoil it so you aren't tempted to watch it. I love movies and its very rare that I just completely don't like a movie. There's only two that I can think of off the top of my head, one is House of the Dead and the other is Pootie Tang.
