Miracles from Heaven (2016)
It is a feel good
This movie is not only a feel good movie for 1 hour 49 minutes, but it makes us think about our own lives and how we should feel good about all of the little miracles around us everyday. It brings out emotions of anger, disappointment, frustrations, desperation, hope, faith, understanding, love and peace. Bring your tissues and experience the story of a family who goes through all of these emotions while we go though them too. It reminds me of the movie War room, and has the same feel good ending as that one did. I hope movie goers enjoy the story of a real family going through real problems and finding answers along the way.
The American (2010)
Glad I didn't buy it
Well, I found this DVD in a parking lot on the ground where I work. It had been sitting in a small puddle and I'm sure many people walked by it because it was a little bit under a car. I work with DVD'S as my job so I picked it up and examined it. It was still in the case, just the cover was a little wet and messy. I like George so I thought it might be a good one to see. Rated R, I usually don't watch those, but I couldn't pass up George! I should have! I was waiting for something to happen...anything! It is a really great movie to fall asleep to with it playing low as white noise. It took ALL my strength to even finish it. I just kept thinking...okay, maybe NOW some excitement- nope! Okay, maybe NOW.......nope. Okay, there is only 10 minutes left.....Oh, there is something, cool... aaaa that's it? Yep. I'm just really glad I didn't buy this or waste money renting it. Not one of his good ones!
Deceptions (1985)
Winner!
Great movie. I have it on VHS from T.V. Watched it 4 times. Love Powers and Bostwick is super romantic. Hope it is coming to DVD soon. It's time. We need good movies like this to make a comeback. If you have ever wanted to see Venice, it's a good one to see. Anyone interested in elaborate costume design - good one too. Ever wanted to tell off a teacher... hear you go. And tastefully done too. Definitely worth a date night on the couch with a big tub of popcorn. Sights, sounds and full of excitement.
If you get the chance to see it...go for it! It is a two parter.

Black Swan (2010)
Why?
I must say... I can see why Hollywood went crazy over this movie. It has all that they promote. Cursing, alcohol, drugs, sex, lesbianism, self-gratification,self-loathing,craziness... It was somewhat confusing in it's theme. It skipped back and forth between reality and fantasy. I wasn't sure what was what. The mother's role was a little twisted, I didn't quite understand her role. The other dancers associations to 'the swan' were strange, jealousy, anger, pride, revenge... I saw no real caring from any character toward another. It took ballet to a whole new dark level. I know that was what the director wanted, and he succeeded.
