Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973 TV Movie)
10/10
Still get the goosebumps thinking about it!
7 December 2003
Like almost everybody else who's written a comment, I saw this movie when I was a kid, and it scarred me for life! I am now 36.

First of all, I was living in a little town called Farnham, in the south of Quebec, and it struck me that the principal characters had the same name than the town I was living in! It felt more personal! And for that reason, I guess, EVERY person I went to school with remembers that movie...

The scene I remember more vividly is when one of the creature is hiding in a flower pot during a party (?) and shows itself to Sally who freaks out! Wow, I have goosebumps just writing about it!...

It seems the remake fell through...? I can't find anything on it anymore... I think it's a good thing... "Some things are better off left alone"

The Tracy Morgan Show (2003–2004)
Laugh-out loud funny!
5 December 2003
I've seen the first three episodes and I surprised myself laughing-out loud at least 5 or 6 times each time!

Tracy Morgan is funny! There's never been any doubt about that! He created some hilarious characters on SNL as "Astronaut Jones" and others. But would his brand of humor translate to prime-time family sitcom format? I say, surprisingly, YES!

The whole cast is fabulous, specially Tracy's younger son played by Bobb'e J. Thompson. Watch out for that kid! The only thing missing, is a real complicity between Tracy and his wife, played by Tamala Jones. I guess it's normal. You can't ask two actors who've never played together before to reach a level of intimacy a couple that's been together since high school would have. I'm sure it will build!

Check it out! One of the very few new sitcoms worth watching!

It just gets better at every screening!

This movie is soooooo funny!

For those who think it is racist, wake-up!!! The Americans are the ones being made fun of! And Brando as a Japanese? Just hilarious!!! Who would have thought?!

I can't believe that some people are saying Glenn Ford stumbles while tying to ad-lib his lines... IT IS CALLED ACTING!!! And he does a wonderful job at it!!!

See this movie, and judge by yourself! 4 1/2 * out of 5
