Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)
B movie. Painful to watch
Bad script (very bad). Bad directing (very bad). A good director would make a decent movie out of this mess of a script with some creative adaptation.
Humans? Very bad acting! Mainly because of the directions the were given (or not given at all). It reminds me of Nickelodeon acting. OK. That was harsh. I apologize.
Special FX were ok but with too many faults. For example in the rain forest the background, and only the background, is filmed in fish eye lens! So all of the trees are curved to the center!
The non white guy is in the film only to serve as a comic (they wish) relief. Bad dialogs, bad jokes (no even jokes), just stupidifing the person.
The "amour relief" is also a comic relief that plays random 80's music. Go figure!
Silent Night (2023)
Rubbish
The worst sound editing you will ever experience.
I am sure they are going to sell it as "art" or "progressive" or who knows what else!
I' ve watched a ton of silent movies and they had better sound than this carbagge.
There are a lot o plot holes also.
The gangsters are side by side (30cm / 1 foot) with machine guns shooting hundrends of bullets per minute but to each other but no one gets hurt.
The protagonist gets one bullet straight to his adam's apple from the front, but nooooo, the bullet stops on his vocal hordes! He also bleeds liters of blood while entering the hospital. Paramedics did nothing for that.
And again. Worst sound editing EVER
Also he lives in USA. The medical expenses should be 500,000 $, he doesn't go to work, he buys a brand new mustang, fire arms, Nikon cameras,...
He is playing with his children and he hears multiple shootings coming to his way, but noooo, he doesn't care. He stays oudtside having his boy into the air.
Blue Beetle (2023)
Slower than death!
It is like those "artistic" movies that are that slow, you fall asleep, but without being artistic. Like stinky cheese without the cheese.
Character building is so bad that it passes through all phases. They're funny, serious, genius, dumb,... all together!
Plot holes? Numerus. No, not numerus, too many to count!
Logic holes are expected in a "super hero" movie. I am not talking about logic holes but about plot holes. Can't explain more without making a spoiler.
Special effects? Perfect.
Acting? No problem.
Direction? ...Oh boy! There are so many directing mistakes that even a student woudln't make.
Just stay away.
U.F.O. (2012)
Absolutely rubbish
It starts with 6 minutes of "film credits".
You can stand up, go to the restroom, do your job, come back and the movie will wait you at the very same point you left it. A club playing music, people dancing, and credits, credits credits.
After the 6 minutes of nothingness, some boring dialogues occur on screen, interrupted by some non sensical flash backs. Who's that? What did she/he say? What's happening? Nobody knows and probably nobody will.
I haven't watched such a BAD script and such a BAD direction ...since ever.
It is so bad that it has to be taught in cinema schools in the class "what not to do ever".
Scream VI (2023)
childish and stupid
Really? Who did direct that nonsense?
In a metro wagon filled with people someone kills a person just because the lights went of for a minute.
A 6 feet (1,80 m) person is thrown to the air like a feather. Is killer the incredible Hulk?
Why do they attack on the air? Are they fighting mosquitos?
And lets admit that the writer has a one digit IQ. What about the person who approved the script?

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)
A movie with too many problems
The plot is childish and full of logical holes.
The end is like "we are bored to write down a meaningful ending, lets do something quick and shallow"
The actors are OK ...except D. Graig. His character is something between the dump and the dumper, pee-wee and a boring Sherlock Holmes.
The plot holes are numerous, also the production didn't bother to study about the location, the country etc. We have a Greek island... so it's surrounded by salt water and sun, we're good to go. I can't give more details since I don't want to include spoilers in this review.
I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed it in a weekend.
Spencer (2021)
Too slow, pretentious and ...did I mention slow?
There will be times that you won't know if you're watching a movie or a still. You can go to the bathroom without pressing pause. The movie will be there waiting for you.
Why pretentious? Because the director forces "meanings" into the movie in such an obvious way that it disgusses you.
It's 2022 (I know you know that, I'm informing the director). Diana died 25 years ago. That means that viewers 40 years of age or less, ergo 50% of the audience) don't know the details of her life. Details that are conspicuously ignored in the film.
So, to enjoy it you should be ALL of the following: 50 years of age or more, Diana fanatic - by fanatic I mean that you were reading every tabloid about her back then, love Angelopoulos movies (but without the quality). Who's Angelopoulos? Exactly my point. That old!
Nope (2022)
too slow, too boring!
Too slow. The first 30 mimutes of the movie would be 1 minute in a decent Holywood movie.
Avoid at all costs, unless you need some assistance to sleep.
Last Seen Alive (2022)
Keeps you on your toes. Should be more careful with th script
Keeps you on your toes as a good thiller, however it has some script holes I can't refer to since I don't want to spoil.
However the hero does at least two things that there's no logic in doing. And this is NOT a scifi movie.
Until the last minute you can't figure out if she is alive or dead.
Jaimie Alexander's make up is like she is terminal ill. She so pale that you have the urge to call 911. Either that either she's a vampire!
Gerard Butler's hair cut is from the 80's. Maybe they wanted to compeed Stranger Things!
Kudos to Russell Hornsby, he is giving his best. Even if the script presents him as an unreal cop who forgives murders, kidnaps etc.
The Sea Beast (2022)
Great graphics, too predictable
What's the use of great graphics if the storyline is so predictable?
A great play will be great if played in a yard. It will be greater if played on Broadway.
A mediocre script will remain mediocre no matter what.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
too many plot holes...
Dr. Strange in a cuckoo script, in a bad way.
All super-hero movies have their problems with reality as expected. That's one thing and nobody cares. However plot holes and unnecessary scenes.
A literal childish motive moves the plot.
The main villain (see, no spoilers here) uses his/her powers only when it serves the plot (ripping it apart).
Someone here wrote that propably "somewere in the multiverse there's a better version of this movie". I sincerly doubt it.
The Batman (2022)
Too many holes in the script
A very slow movie.
It reminded me of Theo Angelopoulos movies (RIP).
I think it went like this:
- Lets make a 3 hours long movie
- Sure, lets add very long gazing the sunset scenes
The director unsuccesfully tried to create a film noir, instead he created a B movie.
All the exagerations of the comic cannot pass inside a film script as natural scenes without some magic dust from the director.
The Batman tries to speak with heavy voice (sometimes - not always) but the lead actor doesn't have it which results in an audience wondering what went wrong with the sound equipment.
The Bubble (2022)
It doesn't even worth the time took me to write down these words
Just stay away!
The only funny thing is the label "Genre: comedy".
The people that gave the OK for that script must be removed from the industry.
Lousy in every aspect.
I blame the script and the Director.
Zeros and Ones (2021)
No lighting equipment used during filming...
A bad, dark (optics) movie.
No lighting equipment used during filming that movie. A lot of grain, a lot of wtf am I seeing now?...
The script! Oh the script! Is there any? I wonder.
It would be better if no sound equipment used too!
I praise the person who invented FFWD.
The Unforgivable (2021)
Lousy direction, boring movie
Direction is lousy. Let me defend that:
Is it a flash back or is it a parallel story what I 'm watching right now? Nobody knows. That's a director's fault.
Who's that person? What's his/her connection to the story? You'll get a lot of those.
Oh! I gave it up.
I don't have time for bad movies.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
It's like a B movie with AAA protagonists
Childish script.
The villain, ...the good guy who always wins, ...blah, blah...
Too obvious, too boring.
I could "watch" it while surfing the internet and don't miss a scene.
I think Marvel forgot the significance of the script on a movie.
Good CGI? So what?
Michelle is gorgeous? We already knew that.
Waste of time.
Red Notice (2021)
I had a lot of laughs
Great movie, I liked it, I had a lot of laughs. I thought R. Reynolds contributed, but no.
I liked very much the scenery changes.
It was ridiculous so many bullets not finding the target.
Many gags (I don't want to give any spoilers)
Bad ending, leaving a "so and so" aftertaste.
I recommend it however. I had a great time.
Wrath of Man (2021)
Major Plot holes
Guy A commands guy B (Statham) to do a job.
Commands him.
Afterwads guy A calls Statham "boss".
Guy A organizes an armed robbery in which Statham's kid is murdered.
Then Statham ...is looking for the guy who shot his son and guy A tries to help him.
WTF??? He is who organized the armed robbery. Hw should know who hired to do the job.
After the son is killed Statham is promoted to crime Boss. Go figure!
Who ever wrote the script should stop taking drugs.
The New Pope (2020)
A masterpiece, both in script and directing
A masterpiece, both in script and directing.
Acting? Astonishing.
A must see!
Hotel Mumbai (2018)
Shocking, excellent
Great suspens. My respects to Anthony Maras. Until the last minute it keeps you speechless. You don't know what to expect at any moment. Who's gonna live and who is gonna die. I really felt like I was sharing the agony, as I was hiding somewhere inside that hotel.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
above average, like watching infinity war with different super heroes
I liked the length of the movie. Very clever in carantine's era.
I liked the lighting in many scebes. Dark enough to create a certain atmosphere, but not too dark.
Too many things stolen / borrowed (you choose) from Marvel.
The villain has a nut sack jaw, his "right hand" dress like Thanos' lackey.
The "infinity stones" are 3 instead of 5.
Of course is a "to be continued" movie.
Do you remember the Marvel's multiverse?
Monster Hunter (2020)
First half is bad. Second half it's OK
There are some unnecessary scenes, such as training to hand to hand combat just before they fight a giant monster.
She dies, but she revives, with not even one, illogical at least, expanation.
Monsters are killed by knives but not from explosive.
People are get thrown from wigh above the ground, yet they don't brake any bone.
On the good side:
The second half is better as it concerns the plot.
Mila is gorgeous even after her 3rd birth.
Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
Too many plot holes, childish script, lousy effects, wrong casting
No matter how many special effects you've got - and I'm surprised that this movie is nominated for special fx academy award - if you have a louse script you can't have even a mediocre result.
They moved the plot in 1984 so they wouldn't be any cell phones with cameras available. OK! That's a pain in the neck for script writers. The wanted cold war too.
Cold war wasn't a constant nuclear war Damocles' sword. But that's another discussion.
Casting is awful. Diana saves a female Arab Egyptian kid. That's fine, only that the kid is German blonde! What the fork?
There are tens of plot holes in every scene!
Even the way Diana flies reminds you a b-movie filmed in a third world country!
Direction hit new levels of low!
I'm sorry I've watched it.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
Great idea, bad execution
No originality and too much fake scenes. Bad direction there!
Around the unsuspected people there are 2 or three moving cameras. Those are studio takes, made believe as "hidden camera". Very offending to the viewer's IQ!
Also, too many "Kazakstanian" dialogues, too many!
I love S. B. Cohen but that film was a Titanic (the shipwreck, not the movie)
Lastly it's obvious that Giuliani is fixing his shirt.
Dolittle (2020)
Voice over
The movie is just for toddlers. Grownups will suffer.
What makes it worse? Robert Downey Jr. is voiced over by some British guy. So even if you are Robert Downey Jr.'s fun, you'll be dissapointed.
