Major Crimes (2012)
Great acting and writing
Very well done. One can actually connect and bond with the characters. Rusty...ugh..bad choice barely tolerable. Mary McConnell has come a long way since Stands with a Fist. Sad to see it end.
Brain on Fire (2016)
A public service must see
As a physician assistant of 40 years and trained in New York City this movie was done well in terms of the medical underpinnings. All too often medical providers rely so heavily on the testing and not assess the human element and really HEAR the family. Acting above average. Great job. Production awesome. How the critics panned this is an atrocity as it kills the true message.
The Poison Rose (2019)
Wat da hail John ?
Do not, do not ever cast Travolta with a southern accent. Oh my! Worse screen writing and worse acting I have seen in awhile. Very disappointed.
The Perfection (2018)
Enjoyable
I am amazed by the negativity others are giving this. Take it for what it is. Decent acting, horror, abuse, manipulation and sweet revenge.
Limitless (2015)
Trite, tacky and not timeless.
As others have said this had awesome potential. Jennifer Carpenter is amazing as always. Writing was below average. Appeal to pre teen, maybe? So disappointed.
Generation Wealth (2018)
Tangential mess
Started out with topic at hand. Generational wealth splattered with self promotion of her other movies/ writings. A tablespoon of her family biography and an inner look at some family pathology. Too self serving for my taste. For the love of God stay on topic.
Literally all over the place. Large disappointment.
A Walk in the Woods (2015)
Could of, should of....
Had the opportunity to be so much more. Inspired by nature, motivated by aging process and barely touched your heart and soul. Too bad...had such expectations for this movie..fell short , way short..
Life Itself (2018)
Wonderful. The importance of the path
Thought provoking, emotional, and a must see. Acting exceptional. If you don't get something from this movie remove your head from the sand.
Designated Survivor (2016)
Pure sugar.
As a liberal this script was filled with gooey, liberal fiction. Always a Kiefer Sutherland fan. The acting is superb. Held my attention with the FBI hunt. A fun series at times however writer or producer clearly had an agenda. Too unrealistic with the loving, epathetic diatribe literally every episode. How about some objectivity ? No one, no one interacts this way. The husband and wife relationship is right out of Mr Rogers playbook. I really do not want to be their neighbor.
