I have seen app. 4.800 films and a some of them more then once and a selected few i will admit that i have watch a little more then regarded safe.
The subcategories are not that important for me ( unless i decide to be a professional film critic and make some money out of it ) .
And i happily share my film experience when someone who takes their precious time to ask me.
Why use my "Nick" at IMDb ?. Do my name matter ? Will my reviews be seen in another light if you knew it or do my reviews/views speak for themselves.
So i rather give you my time instead of a name that you probably will forget after 6,2 seconds anyways.
If i unintentionally hurt your feelings because we don´t have the exact same opinion, suck it up and live with it, as i do if it is reversed, and we probably come to the conclusion that this is only one thing out of billions of things we agree upon.

A Christmas Mystery (2014)
A blend and flat Christmas romance mystery.
I am most of the time able to find some positive things to say about a film but regarding this "mystery" the only thing i can think of, and then i were forced to think both hard and long, were and is the great Christmas decorations in houses, shops, boats and on people ( the great knitted Christmas sweaters......in L.A ). The story is blend, colorless and flat. When it comes to the acting it is totally one dimensional, absolutely zero depth in the characters. And that actually makes me sad when the actors personality actually shines thru so much and the seem like very nice people, so i can imagine the set must have been just a delight and a wonderful time for all. To bad that the director did not have the skill to use that dynamic. It was like looking at the nicest of people, trying the best they possibly could with a script made for a middle school nativity play and directions given a prison chain gang.
The Get Down (2016)
The Bronx, Summer of 1977: that summers heatwave isn't just about weather
The series capture you with individual doses of: musically revolutions, political turmoil, a part of New York almost turned to nothing but rubble during the worst depression since the 1920. And the people, oh, yes beautiful portraits of people with and without jobs, belief in a future, hope, talent and sense of community. The music just blows you away, regardless of age or if you were there, or in any other part of the world, ties the whole series together. Those who in the 1970's were in school, young adult or adult ( adulthood, that's a matter of opinion if you not are an statistical "¤#%/"%¤, that is ) will have shivers going up and down their spines by the series creators masterful way to light up your own "rearwiev mirror". And the young of today will have a brutal lesson in the fact that history isn't just a dull subject in school, it's about people that lived a while back, with the same dreams, struggles, different opinions, not at least when it comes to music, that them selves are going thru right now and themselves will be history in a few years, talking to their kids and get the reply : You do not understand how it is today....... So turn of you smartphones, iPad's and/or PC's..... collect the entire family in the sofa... and love every minute of the show together. The only ones who can have any negative to say about this series after that are the shrinks who suddenly will loose 95% of the "parents/kids", "Nothing changes" , "It was better back in the days" clients......
Deadpool (2016)
A super hero without hubris.
A former special service agent gets accelerated healing powers after a experiment gone "not exactly as planned". He then creates the free spirited superhero that accentuates his own view of right and wrong, a vigilante of sorts. Deadpool is that "take the day at it comes" kind of guy, that you want to have as your best friend. Even thou he can be utterly irritable just because he lives so unhampered. A fun, romantic, classical superhero film with a twist ( if the film were a drink, this would be what you read on the menu ). Among all the superhero movies we have seen over the years, this one leaves you with the sought after "feelgood" so many films claims to give you but fails.
Movies are made with love, love them back.
Urge (2016)
Long time friends wants that epic weekend....
What happens when you get the chance to loose all your restrains and ethical ground rules for one night. This is a peek inside Danny Mastersons mind when he pokes this subject with the proverbial 10 ft pole. The references and winks towards the bible are everything from subtle to "in your face". As usual i won't get to deep regarding scripts, acting, photo and that stuff the self claimed pro critics like to dish out. If you hold for example a master in art, film or any cultural expression form, you will notice all those things for yourself without me spelling them out for you........ It's enough if i warn you about waste of time and intellect.
Films are often made with love, love them back even if it's hard sometimes.
Warcraft (2016)
The master print of a adventure movie 2016.
From the times when the special effects simply were a man throwing buckets of water into the frame and onto the Hero that so valiant sailed a full rigged ship, to a stop in the land of barbarians, thieves and warlocks where Arnold surprised the majority of movie goers by his mighty size alone, today Warcraft certainly makes this epic adventure come to life. Disappointments are always present when it comes to films in this category and specially when you change media format ...............AAARRRGGGHHHHH !!! when you with a fools determination insists to find flaws. Instead of letting all your imagination run wild, just as you could before adulthood claimed your beautiful imagination and set fixed parameters onto, into and around that ability to make a spacecraft out of a cardboard box or a flowing river out of your grandparents hallway carpet. Do some martial arts breathing, empty your mind, see to that you have your drink, popcorn or whatever no longer then a arm length away and let your all your senses be tricked for 2 hours, just as the makers of the film intended........then we'll talk. Maybe this is a crappy review, but try this and i promise you that all films from now on will have that little extra that others will kill for.
In the dark: ease up, relax, be in the moment, let your senses lead you and you and your lover will thank me later for this tip....... works fine when you go to the movies too......
