The King (I) (2019)

Very Solid movie
30 December 2019
First time I watched the movie, didn't like it. Then, I saw many people were quoting the movie and got hooked to rewatch it. Well, the script is really brilliant, every line is deep and to the point. In fact, very uptodate. The cast is stellar in particular, Sean Harris, Joel and Ben. As for Timothee, most of times his performance was great with slight drawbacks from time to time. I think he as very young actor needed a guidance from the director, as Luca Guadagnino did in CMBYN. Anyway, Timmy did a great job and mostly kept a high score in front of more seasoned talanted actrors. Kudos to him!!!!!

Absurdity of life in Soviet Georgia and lost traiditions
4 June 2019
This movie is a masterpiece. Original title is "Giorgobis Tve ((Saint George's month), which is in fact a month (November) of fiest - wine testing, following the month of winemaking (Month of October). It very well depicts the absurdity of life in Soviet Georgia:)))) The director is Otar Ioseliani, who also shot several other masterpieces including Pastoral, Once Upon a Time There Was a Singing Blackbird (1970) and Favorites of the Moon, etc.

Hollow Italian neorealism type of B&W movie
26 January 2019
Show cares about neorealism in the 21st century, which even does not have a plot and character development. The movie sucks!!!!!!!!

Heartwrenchingly beautiful, sad and painful movie!!!!!!!
5 January 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I loved the movie in particular, last 20-30 minutes of it. David Sheff contemplating about his kids with a Sunrise Sunset background music, the monologue of the mourning mother with a background music of Henryk Górecki Symphony no. 3, David realizing that he should be with his son since it could be Nick's final minutes, him picking up Nick and going outside the hospital, Nick sobbing and David hugging and cheering up him and finally, Nick reading Charles Bukowski were heartwrenchingly beautiful and sad moments!!!!!!!!!! Never forget them!!!!!!!
