Animal (2023)
Chaotic Chronicles of Vanga
Animal is a perplexing cinematic journey that embraces random plots, showcasing a lack of coherence that leaves the audience bewildered. The film's reliance on gratuitous gore not only overwhelms the senses but also adds little substance to an already convoluted narrative.
Unfortunately, the movie is marred by elements of misogyny, perpetuating outdated stereotypes that detract from any potential enjoyment. The bad direction is evident in disjointed scenes and erratic pacing, leading to a viewing experience that feels more like a series of unrelated events than a cohesive story.
Speaking of the story, Animal fails to deliver a compelling narrative, leaving audiences questioning the purpose of the film. The inclusion of Rashmika and Tripti as seemingly unnecessary characters adds to the confusion, with their roles contributing little to the overall plot.
The inexplicable obsession with the Dad character is never adequately justified, leaving viewers struggling to connect with the characters on an emotional level. Furthermore, the film takes a disturbingly casual approach to violence, equating the act of killing people to swatting mosquitoes, which may leave audiences questioning the ethical boundaries of the narrative.
The inclusion of international murders that characters inexplicably get away with adds an unsettling layer to the film, lacking any semblance of consequence for their actions. The film's tendency to introduce very random scenes further exacerbates the overall sense of chaos, making it difficult for viewers to stay engaged.
In conclusion, Animal is a cinematic misstep that suffers from random plots, excessive gore, misogyny, bad direction, a lackluster story, and unnecessary characters. Its attempt to justify an obsession with a character falls flat, and the nonchalant approach to violence and international crimes may leave audiences questioning the film's moral compass. The haphazardly placed random scenes contribute to an overall sense of confusion, making Animal a challenging and unsatisfying viewing experience.
Fighter (2024)
Bad direction, plot and acting is a combo I wasn't expecting
The movie disappoints on multiple fronts, starting with unnecessary romance shoehorned into the narrative, distracting from the supposed focus on the fighter pilot storyline. The bad acting further exacerbates the film's shortcomings, with performances that fail to convey the intensity and authenticity expected from such a genre.
Plot holes abound, creating a disjointed viewing experience that leaves the audience questioning the coherence of the storyline. The movie leans heavily on clichés, offering nothing fresh or original, making it feel like a recycled and uninspired attempt within the Indo-Pak war genre.
Pilots consistently disobeying their commanding officer throughout the film not only strains believability but also undermines the credibility of the characters. Lastly, some of the film's scenes blatantly resemble to Top Gun comes across as a cheap imitation, ultimately leaving viewers longing for the authenticity and originality found in the iconic predecessor.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
I could give it less stars if possible
Watched 1 episode to have enough of this stupid series. This is a terrible spin off of the Hulk. They had to make her sexy, and smaller so that they can aapease the audience. How can they shatter an image of woman from bein hot and beautiful. Writers need to be ashamed of themselves for making this misogynistic show. On top of the vfx is terrible, she looks more of a cartoon hulk than a real person. My 3rd grade nephew can do a better job at it. Can Marvel just stick to churning out boring movies like they always do. This is their worst attempt at trying to be PC. Stick to what you do bad before you do anything worse.
RRR (Rise Roar Revolt) (2022)
Great movie if you can keep your brain aside
Typical South Indian action movie, suddenly vreak out in a song out of nowhere just to showcase their dancing skills. 5/5 for Direction, Cinematography and VFX. 1/5 for screenplay and story writing.
Aga Bai Arecha (2004)
Great entertainer
Even though it's based on "What Women Want" it's a great entertainer. It has different angles to the lives if women around you and how one should hear them out and understand their problems. Great music by Ajay Atul and vocals by Shankar Mahadevan.
Aspirants (2021)
Great show
Tvf is a great content creator and Aspirants only prove that.
1962: The War in the Hills (2021)
Good story, poor execution
I had higher expectations from a director like Mahesh Manjrekar. The screenplay amd cinematography is not upto the mark. Actors did okay but the writer seemed confused between a War story and love story. A lot of talented Marathi theatre actors but they couldn't live up to the big screen. Abhay Deol has acted well but there's too much drama happening around him.
Coolie No.1 (2020)
Worst movie ever
Overacting at it's best. Best example of How to ruin a classic. Varun Dhavan should learn the abc of acting first.
Ashi Hi Banwa Banwi (1988)
Best Marathi movie ever
Cult comedy classic, watched it hundreds of timez since I was kid and still do. Ashok Saraf delivers an impeccable performance well supported by Laxmikant and Sachin
Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020)
Great movie, must watch, don't go by butthurt ratings
Keeping aside the nepotism issue, this is a great entertainer. Please don't go by ratings of some butthurt people. I usually don't watch Karan Johar movie but this is an exception.
Manav Vij, Pankaj Tripathi have done an excellent job, Jhanvi could have done better. The chemistry between Father and Daughter will definitely make your eyes water.
There are some dark elements to this story whether true or false I will leave it up to the audience to evaluate. Not everything needs to be black or white there are grey shades to every story. This movie has 100% entertainment value.
Amit Trivedi has kicked ass with background score. Excellent direction and screenplay. A definite must watch
