And it hasn't aged well. How did Johnny Depp's career survive all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans? Depp plays a whiny man-baby, constantly bitching about how unfair his life is, and whipping out his badge to everyone any chance he gets. In a bar, he uses his badge to order a beer, makes a big fuss about not being served because he looks under age, and then leaves the bar before getting his beer, much less drinking it. A real under cover cop would have just ordered a soda, but Depp's character has to throw his weight around because he's an idiot. When he commanders a cab, the badge does no good, but the promise of cash does. A real UC would have started with cash. Real under-cover cops don't carry badges--those are kinda dead give-aways if you get searched.

Sorry, this show wasn't good at the time, and it hasn't aged well at all.
