Hwan Hon (2022)
Great fantasy
This is a well done beautiful fantasy show, it will hook you quite fast, and the storyline is very good. Great at creating friction.
This show is doing what everyone in hollywood is dreaming of.
I can only recommend this.
Big Mouth (2017)
Starts off good, ends in disaster
Big Mouth starts off pretty funny and original. However as the show evolves it just becomes incredibly stupid and I basically lost interest by the third season.
It's too bad, because the concept is pretty fun, but they had to ruin it.
Senior Year (2022)
So weird to see Jerry and Summer all grown up.
This is a good movie, it's fun, has a good pace and it helped me realize a lesson I should have learned long ago.
I'm not gonna put any spoilers, but watch the movie, it's good for an evening laugh and fun.
Scream (2022)
So lame that I started rooting for the villains
Title says it all.
It's boring, it's not very creative, and you're left wondering a few times like "what?" It was so unbelievably bad I didn't even want the "good guys" to win because it was so boring that at least a twist would have made it worth watching.
Sense8 (2015)
An overproduced boring show that ruined a good concept
I watched this because of the trailer, I love kung fu, dark thrillers and intense action. That is not what this show is.
This show is a drama, and not good drama, they had this great idea and concept that they ruined by not taking advantage of it.
Not to mention all these cringeworthy moments in the show.
It's beautifully filmed, but tells no story, all the action scenes in this show is in the trailer, the rest is basically one dimensional, boring and uninteresting. There's hardly no plot, no conflict, nothing that makes me want to watch more, I wasted my time with this show hoping it was just the start, but it's not.
Watched the first season, I got so disappointed I didn't watch the second, I'll recommend anyone who values their time to stay away from this show.
John Doe: Vigilante (2014)
Surprising, will make you think if you feel strongly against injustice
This was, really surprising, I just wanted to pass some time and relax, didn't have big expectations for this movie but it really got me thinking.
*** I get sidetracked a bit here, reflecting over the movie ***
Besides the whole vigilante question, we as john and Jane does should do more than just give a like on face book. We should get off our arses and help each other as people, we know the neighbor is beating the sh*t out of the kid, go do something, if you're afraid to go on your own get some of your buddies with you. If you see a group of people harassing others do something, stop and call upon the others to help you. You should of course be reasonable, I've seen brawls where I didn't do anything because it was 4 people fighting each other and I didn't know who to help, the bouncers were already breaking it up, so I let the bouncers break up the fight and let the police handle the rest. I have seen a fight between just two, I helped break them up. I've seen people collapse and followed them home. It's our duty as citizens, as people, as human f****g beings to help one another and contribute to this world without going all "the f*** should I care" if you see injustice.
** side tracking done **
Besides that it was an interesting movie, it had some really interesting points. I was really surprised by the movie, and it managed to fill me up with strong feelings because these are topics that really concern me. This was an inspiring movie and I hope it will inspire other people as well. Now with this review you could probably figure things out about me, if you feel the same way you'll like this movie.
Heroes: Chapter Twelve 'An Invisible Thread' (2009)
it started so well
but now, it is completely and utterly ridiculous with the story line.
1. They could have used Claire's blood to save Nathan, the used it on her father who spent longer time "dead" than Nathan
2. The fact that they keep using Sylar as the bad guy shows how bad their creativity is, it's the same each season, Sylar and an organization/company are "the bad guys"
the show has gotten worse after season 1 in my opinion, the only good thing is that they have the guts to kill off some of the characters we follow and love. but besides that, this is just stupid.
I hope I will be able to keep myself from watching the last season but I fear I want to know how this ends since I have gotten this far
Rock of Ages (2012)
if you know the songs or expect rock/rock'n'roll/hair-metal stay away
My title says it all Basically I know the songs performed, but I was disgusted when they we're played out in the movie, I expected rock at least, but it was lame mainstream versions of the songs. the singers were terrible, I'd rather hear singers who could actually sing the songs and bring the magic of those songs through the movie, or the real songs to be played in the background.
The plot was very cliché and unoriginal.
cruise, Baldwin and brand did a good job at and had some funny entertaining moments and are giving some quality to the movie.
if you want to hear some music and don't know the songs, and don't mind a love story that has been seen in other movies you should be able to enjoy it. if you at the same time love love stories you'll love the movie.
But if you know the songs and don't like an unoriginal love story you, or alone if you just hate it, you'll be very disappointed and frustrated after watching this movie.
Sucker Punch (2011)
wow!!
My first words will be, if you don't know what art is, you won't like this movie. This is more than a story, it's packed with art and a deeper meaning, I'll probably have to watch it again to understand it fully, but wow, not only does it dazzle your eyes, but your mind as well. The atmosphere is dark and depressing it's there to get you in the mood so the movie will deliver you to a place in your mind. Very creative
It's more of a message than a story. And it's done incredibly well.
*****SPOILER START******s -----------------------s -----------------------s s
at first, I thought sucker punch would be some action movie where this girl kicks asses of some place she's locked up. But it wasn't even that, it'll give you a little introduction about how the stepfather is happy because their mother is dead, she's obviously loaded with cash, although because of legal issues in her will (giving all her possessions to her two daughters) he gets angry and wants to take out the two girls. The little sister die, and he sends her on a mental institution. At first I just expect it to be like any other piece of crap American movie where the head of this mental institution is going to help her, she gets out, everyone lives happily ever after, gets married and dies old... but it isn't. The head "uses" the patients. It jumps in time to where she's getting something through her eye.
Since it's back in time where psychology was just a new thing and the craft not very well developed this was designed to stun her or something. However before she gets "stabbed in her eye" it suddenly jumps into an alternative world where the mental institution becomes a whore house, it's another way to see reality. So the viewer doesn't really know WHAT was going on, it's all a metaphor, a very symbolic movie so to speak. And when they perform their little operations it's a symbol for how their operation is. If anyone ever saw inception, this is a level 2 dream. The first alternative reality is the whore house, this is not really happening, and you don't know how the other girls die. You don't even know their personality, you won't hear what babydoll is actually saying. * * s * *s

I would basically recommend this to people who likes dragons, awesome fight scenes, guys mainly (because of the chicks.) And to people who understand art.
Dexter (2006)
nearly perfect
There are few words to describe this show except for, nearly a masterpiece.
Dexter is a really thought out character, which is probably the most interesting about the show, but it is a thrill as well to watch, good characters, well thought through plot that'll make you want to watch it as fast as possible, it did with me.
HOWEVER, it two flaws.
The first flaw: there is a main plot and then there are side plots as there are in some shows, some of the side plots are in my opinion unnecessary, and BORING to watch, they may have been put there to leave the user wanting more of the meat instead of the boring superfluous, side plots.
The second flaw: I'm only halfway through the show (middle of season 3) but in my opinion season 2 was WAY more exiting.
Despite the flaws, I really think this is some of the best I've watched.
