Berlín (2023)
Don't waste UR time...it is NOT money Heist
Total let down!
There is not even a remote resemblance here with anything we saw in MH. Characters are like they are discovering their personalities in a way that's so unreal. They are frankly too loud on trying to impress, and that where it fails.
And Berlin, who was so lethal in MH is like a 23rs century Romeo, who is 90% trying to chase a married girl and sometimes comes back to the Heist.
And the Heist itself is a cliche plot used by 100s of movies and series before. There is no suspense at all
Acting is quite ordinary.
Watched 2 episodes, just to give it a fair chance...but barely managed to finish the 2md one.
Masoom (2022)
Unexpectedly good....
Intense series from start. Sinister shadow lurks from scene 1. Samara Tijori has done fabulous for her 1st main show. Mr. Irani is as always ...spot on! In fact he has been most effective while he is subtle in the role
Best is the poetry.... absolute pleasure to hear the depth, with a soulful music.
Ojing-eo geim (2021)
most creative and yet so much grounded
You will live through this....you will feel the emotions and misery of the people.
It's dark, shocking and yet gripping. Tru binge material for a weekend.
The Two Popes (2019)
Not to miss...
Sir AH and Mr. Price at their individual best. Can't say who finally won....don't bother to try also...both are awesome
And the beauty of Vatican and Rome.... waaaoow!
The Tashkent Files (2019)
Definitely thought provoking
Truth is a luxury....few can afford it
Politics and journalism....what is murkier....this story exposes it well
Bit of over acting here and there can be excused, for the over all screen play and awesommmmme dialogues
Paharganj (2019)
Avoid this...don't be misled
Absolutely useless script
Senseless dialogue
Stone faced actors
Jumping from one story to other, with no connection
And most importantly, TRUE Paharganj is hardly visible. Just some drugs and Baba's shown here and there along with kiddish Don's of the area
Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side (2020)
Most UNDER-REVIEWED SHOW....,don't miss it
Watch 1 episode, and I can safely bet, you will watch all. Perfect for weekend binging!
I would say, despite having no pillars like Said and Nawazuddin, this has a SUPER TIGHT grip on you, with stellar performances from all.
Really makes you think on whats bad and what's good...and how this changes. Excellent veiw of Indian mythology (though I am no expert on it🙏)
The Spy (2019)
Cohen in NEW AVATAAR
Gripping, tantalising, strikingly straight in the eye
Even when you know what's going to happen, it's intense to watch this. In the have of no Whatsapp or drones, achieving something like this thru Morse codes is commendable
Roma (2018)
Unbelievably simple...and yet hard on 💓 and mind
First of all...some of the people who rated this movie 1 or 2...they should stick to Avengers and Marvel's or similar.
This movie has SO many vantage points. One can be Cleo (obviously the main anchor of the movie) Or Mrs. Sofie (anchor of the family) or the Kids (anchor of the life in the movie) 9r the Husband (anchor of an enigma... deliberately shown)
Then you have Mexico in '71...another Vantage point as a backdrop all the time....keeping you always on the tenterhooks.
Soooooo many of vantage points this movie has. You can see from either of the side, and enjoy equally
So if you want to enjoy life for so many point of views... peacefully...watch this movie.
Rajma Chawal (2018)
Nicely made emotionally connected movie.
Human nature, father-son relationship, old Delhi culture, generation gap...all of these come out very well in this cutely made movie.
Acting of everyone is spot on. Debutant Hero and Heroine stand out. Rishi Kapoor is outstanding!
Rabbit Hole (2010)
Definitely worth watching
Excellent acting - mainly by Nicole and her mother. I especially loved the soothing calm and demeanor of the mom. It manages grief so very well, without being melodramatic (almost always).
Story unfolds in an intriguing manner...cracks up gradually...with no jerks. You know whats going on, yet it looks interesting, not so predictable
