Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Odd "reunion party" @ VHS-Mode
To keep it as short as possible 4 all "busy" viewers. ;)
Nice to view "Star Trek" in 4K. But the script, actors and logic behind many scenes is more like "VHS". Nice, but sometimes pretty cheesy & hard 2 watch. But still worth it if you a die hard "Trekkie" or facing a boring evening. ;)
The best part of all is the "reunion" of some major characters of the "next generation" crew. I think and hope this doesn't count as a "spoiler". Hopefully. ;)
If your are bored or a Trekkie, just relax and just don't mind about logic issues and the cheesy parts.
Just enjoy the Star Trek universe in 4K. It's a blast. ;)
Man in the Arena (2021)
Epic. Period. Really a Goat Documentation.
Five stars. Just watch it. Trust me. One of the best sport-documentations i've ever seen. In so many ways. Simply a master peace. Wether you love football or not. ;)
WandaVision (2021)
Ok, the first episodes really suck, but...
...it gets better and better. And no spoilers will follow. Just watch it. ;)
Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood (2020)
Even it's not really a true Story...
...because there was never murder and crime involved to "rebuild" the Oktoberfest. And I'm from Munich.
But it's still a really well produced TV series that brings you back to the old days, where Munich and especially Bavaria was a little bit more like it was in the old days. ;)
So at the end, it's really worth to see.
Durante la tormenta (2018)
I really like the movie, but...
I really liked the movie, the story and that this somehow "really" could work/happen. Sure it's fiction. But at least imaginable. I also liked the good actors and story. But there is one major logical mistake at the end, when she finally wakes up at her house again. How could she ever remember a/the past that she never experienced? Spoiler alert. Not possible. ;) And why can't he remember at the very end that she was the woman at the tv? Sorry. But the end is stupid or just not logical.
Dark (2017)
Like twin peaks but so much better. By far.
The most complex and best mystery series I've ever seen. The Storytelling, Charakters and Details are outstanding. A must see. Nothing more. Nothing less.
1917 (2019)
Visual masterpiece. B movie storyline.
I really was looking forward to that movie, but the amazing shoots can't compensate the bad and thin story plus all of the old stereotypes of war and the bad to the bone Germans. Sorry. War isn't and wasn't that way or just that one dimensional. Especially the first one. And on top of it there is that completely unlikely and stupid storyline, to rely the lives of 1.600 soldiers on just two young and inexperienced "boys", that makes the whole movie so painful to watch. At the end it just seems like a call off duty b-movie with awesome pictures. Nothing less. But also nothing more. Sorry.
Toni Kroos (2019)
The best sport documentation I've ever seen!
Really just can't see any reason why anybody here rated that movie worse than 8. For me it's by far the best sport documentation I've ever seen. It's not just about the sport, or a team or a country. It's about a boy becoming a man who simply loves the game and his family. And still stays humble after all these years. I also worked for the professional soccer business and have seen so many guys who just took the wrong road. This guy is in so many ways a real role model. And this fine and sensitive documentation mirrors that. Nothing more, but also nothing less. If you just like sports in general it's a must see. And even if you're don't it's still more than worth to see.
