Alienate (2016)

Worst Film Ever- an Hour and Half i will never get back...
27 February 2016
Firstly, the trailer looked great!I was expecting an Alien invasion film, something which would probably not be great but have at least a decent plot. But the film was nothing like I was expecting.

The constant time jumps throughout the film are confusing, and there is just too many characters to try and keep up with, even though the end of the film only focuses on the outcome of two of the characters. It seems almost pointless even introducing half of them to begin with. The acting is terrible, and half the time the characters look as bored as i was when watching the film !

Utter garbage. Don't waste your time.

Joy (I) (2015)

Almost put me to sleep... Zzzz
24 January 2016
Normally a huge fan of Jennifer Lawrence, but have to say I was disappointed with this. The movie based around Joys invention of a self wringing mop, and the story is literally revolved around this invention from beginning to end. I had hoped for a bit of romance at the end with Bradley coopers character but that didn't happen. Just seems like a simple story was dragged out for longer than needed, and the story was somewhat boring. I found myself drifting to sleep a couple of times.

Such a shame as I normally cannot fault movies Jennifer is in. It was pretty much the typical 'american dream' of someone wanting to succeed at something so much they put everything on the line and lose everything. and then of course Joy turns it all around and comes out on top in the end. Very cliché and predictable.

Very disappointed, expected something a bit more interesting to watch.

Underrated, Really Enjoyed this !
22 January 2016
Wasn't too sure what to expect with this show, but it did not disappoint. Wasn't too keen on Kirsten in the beginning but she soon grows on you, and before you know it you are routing for her and Cameron to be together! I Liked this show a lot and I enjoyed the storyline and concept which I haven't really seen done before. Other movies or shows may have brushed the surface of a similar concept, but this was much more in depth and much more enjoyable. Not too nerdy so you'll fall asleep, but enough edge and drama to keep you watching. Very cleverly written/produced. The story is rather intriguing and the 'secrets' in the plot keep you wanting to watch to find out more.

Great TV Show!

Definitely underrated! Deserves a better rating

Not as good as the books...
22 January 2016
Being a typical Fifty Shades of Grey fan I had previously already read the books and was a huge fan. I went to see the movie with my boyfriend on valentines day (He of course was so happy about this ha!) and despite the over critical reviews it was great!

The books are a lot better without a doubt, and I think the movie lacked the connection that the books gave Anna and Christian, the little things which made their relationship seem more romantic were missed out. Simple things like how he would track down her favourite brand of tea, or like how she bought him a model of the glider plane they flew together and he put it on his desk. Little parts like that in my opinion built the story up well in the books. Also... They made Christian kind of unlike-able right? That was something I didn't like so much, at least in the books you understood why he was the way he was better. The film only briefly touched on the fact that he had been abused as a child.

However, I still enjoyed the movie. I adore Jamie Dornan and I think they cast the characters really well. (although I didn't see the point in casting Rita Ora as Mia... She really didn't look the way I imagined Mia to look from her descriptions in the books) The banter between Christian and Anna was brilliant and even my boyfriend had a chuckle at some of the scenes. It really isn't as bad as people like to make out, I think it's just a lot of males hating on this movie as their girlfriends made them watch it...

Great Movie, Underrated if you ask me.

The 100 (2014–2020)

Brilliant! Hooked from the start
22 January 2016
Have to admit, I normally avoid this genre of TV Show as it isn't normally something that appeals to me, but I was so hooked on this show. Love the characters that get introduced over the seasons, and adore Octavia and Lincoln.

The second season was the best of the two, and the plot had me wanting to keep watching. Needless to say I binge watched it over a weekend and enjoyed it a lot! The Mount Pleasant plot was brilliant and cleverly thought out, i think it did well to show the battle of survival and as much as I am not a fan of Clarke even i felt a little sorry for her having to bear the burden of her actions in the final episode! Cannot wait for season 3!

10/10 - Would definitely recommend this show !

Brilliant!

Absolutely adored this! Such a great show, and I loved how they built the storyline and characters up so it could literally have been anyone of them who was the killer. Had me hooked from the first episode!

I watched this initially because Victoria Justice ( Who Plays Lindy) was in this, growing up watching teen shows she had been in, it was great to see her in something more mature and serious. And all in all she played the part really well.

Great Soundtrack in this show too, very disappointed MTV wont be renewing for a new season though, especially with the cliff hanger end. Thats the only fault I had with this show, the ending could have lead to another season and essentially a completely different story. Surprised they didn't do that if i am honest.

Barely Lethal (2015)
7/10
Pretty Good! Enjoyed it !
27 August 2015
Really Enjoyed this movie, this did rather reminded me of So Undercover which Miley Cyrus starred in a few years ago. However this was much better, not as cheesy!

Barely Lethal is Very much a teen movie and predominantly for a female/teen audience. Haley Stanford plays lead role of a girl who wants to be a 'Normal teenager and experience a life of school and boys' but is unable to due to her training as a child to be an assassin. Very cliché and predictable but never the less, it is great. A Feel good movie which is great for the whole family!

Good cast with this movie to, Nice to see Jessica Alba and Jaime King making an appearance. Deserves more credit, and better ratings than 5.5 !
