Stargåte Infinity (2002)
Stargate: Infinity = Agony
This show is crap. I have only seen 2 episodes. This show should be considered a criminal offense. The humor is humorless, the plots are full of plot holes, and the lessons they teach you are stupid. And the characters are bad. There is on character, I am pretty sure he does not have a name, is the comedy relief. This is proved in the following episode: they end up on some planet where the only food is moss. The comedy relief complains the entire time that the food is moss. Then, the aliens on the planet give him ice cream at the very end of the episode, and , get ready to be surprised, it tastes like moss! Hahaha! In case you can't tell, I hate this show. This show is obviously aimed at little kids, which is why they teach you lessons like "it is important to learn history" and "the in crowd may not be very nice." But the show also has guns and explosions and things like that. Kids should not be watching shows that try to teach you life lesons and also show guns. This might give kids the ideas that guns are good. Because their favorite characters use them. Although I cannot imagine how any one would like these characters.
The Princess Bride (1987)
Excellent!
this movie is great. The dialogue is funny and impressive, the sets are huge and complicated, and the acting is good. Someone who wrote a review for this movie said it was boring. It is not supposed to be Braveheart where the fight scenes occur every couple seconds and could be more accurately described as "gore fountains". There are fight scenes but they are not supposed to be violent so much as silly. This movie is great. It is presently on the IMDb top 250 movies of all time. Whatever it is on that list, it should be higher on the list.
Drumline (2002)
drumming good, everything else terrible
I hate this movie. I just think this movie is bad. The drumming is spectacular, but the dialogue is horrible, and the main character is a brat who can't even read drum music but somehow got a college scholarship for his drumming. It is also surprising that he got a scholarship because throughout the movie he rebels against the coach. You are supposed to feel sad for the star as he is kicked out of the drumline numerous times for various reasons, but i just felt glad that the movie might end there. But it didn't. This is an enormous waste of two hours in my opinion. One part of the movie that especially comes to mind when say "a waste of two hours" is a scene where the drumline section leader walks up to the drummers one at a time and plays on their drum with them walking forward. The drummers are supposed to follow. No one is is able to do it except, of course the star of the movie. But once he's is done playing the part with the section leader also playing on the star's drum, the band teacher walks up and says somethin to the effect of "you do what i tell you to do, and you're an asshole." I hate this movie. I nearly cried when i saw Ebert gave it 3 stars out of four. My rating: 2 out of 10 stars. And this movie earned that rating.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)
Great plot, great acting, but a little confusing at times
This movie was great. The acting was great, the special effects were great, the plot was great except it started to get confusing at some points in the movie because that part of the plot was only very briefly explained. That is pretty much all that isn't great except the characters sometimes say that they have a grudge against another person but they just leave you hanging on why. But I would recommend it if you like the comic series, which i had never even heard of until this movie came along, like action adventure scifi fantasies, which there arent many of, or if you like the books the characters are based on.
