Dredd (2012)
Needs a sequel!!!
Dredd is an amazing adaptation of the comic books.
I've rated this movie a 10 back even I first seen it.
I bought the Dvd and now the BlueRay.
Karl Urban plays the Role of Dredd and he's not disappointing, tough boots to fill and I felt he was born to play this character and I'm desperate for a sequel.
Olivia and Lena equally played their roles to perfection.
I was immersed in Mega City for the duration of the movie and didn't want it to end.
I'm sure Dredd fans loved this movie Just as I did and it's such a shame it wasn't marketed as much as it should've been.
It deserves a sequel with Karl Urban reprising his role as the Judge.
Please make this happen!
Fist Fight (2017)
Brilliant comedy
I really do not understand the average score this movie has received. Cube & Charlie Day had great comedy chemistry.
Two teachers having a fight after school and it all plays out from the build up to the fight just as we remember any other school fight that ripped through the school grape vine that ends up having a mob of spectators shouting for blood. All the while its the schools annual prank day. Everyone's a critic i could not give this movie a poor rating when it made me laugh so much. Tracy Morgan, Jillian Bell, Christina Hendricks, Dean Norris and the dry Kumail Nanjiani add great support with their roles.
I truly enjoyed it so if you fancy a laugh get this watched and if you enjoyed it please give it a decent rating as i feel it deserved much better.
Be Here Now (2015)
Speechless
Many famous people from from movies to musicians have passed over the years but none have phased me until Andy Whitfield's passing. Watching him in Gabriel and the Clinic and finally Spartacus made me a fan of his work. Be here now is a huge emotional journey with Andy and his gorgeous family over the last year of his life and the ups and downs of what many people must face on a daily basis around the world. A story of Andy's rise to fame and the harrowing trials of dealing with cancer and the many treatments we would all try or at least look into.
I have never came close to tears watching anything on the TV but Andy and Vashti Whitfield's story even though i knew what the outcome was for Andy, it had me balling my eyes out. I wish i had never watched it, yet very glad i did. Andy was a fighter all the way to the end, a true gladiator and a worthy champion. It is an amazing story of a man and his family's struggle with all aspects of cancer. If you are an Andy Whitfield fan you must see this, but have a box of tissues handy. It is deeply emotional.
A Cry from Within (2014)
Terrible
I was not expecting much from this movie but still I ended up feeling extremely disappointed with this. The acting was awful & Eric Roberts seemed to think he did not need to act in this & just cruised through it without effort. Roberts can put in a great performance when he wants to I was sad watching him in this. The story seemed to just drag & I could not wait for it to end & in fact I fell asleep with boredom towards the final chapter. The child actor was not convincing at all. Roberts co-star Deborah Twiss upped the pace as her acting was up a league from the rest of the cast. Lastly I ended up in the dog house with my girl for making her sit through this abysmal movie. Not frightening at all. Plot 2 Acting 2 Fright factor 0
Prowl (2010)
Horror fans will enjoy
If you love watching horror movies then this will be fun to watch, Its not ranked up there with the classics, Salem's lot or The Exorcist, but its worth a watch. Only bad thing i can say about it was the ending, it was an anti climax but it does leave it open for a follow on sequel. If you are looking for scantly clad teenagers running around half naked then this is not for you, although the leading ladies are easy on the eye. Gore factor 6.5: Lots of blood in this & a few body parts flying around the movie set.
Scare factor: 6; One scene certainly had me jumping from my seat, but these are BOOM!! in your face flashes & not many off them.
