Late Shift (2016)
Want to be the main character?
This Is a great concept and a very clever idea. It makes you more immersed in the story because you actually get to make a lot of the choices the main character are facing. The movie is shot beautifully and the acting is on point, much better than I expected. I have played/seen the movie two times now and i got two completely different stories and endings. And There are seven different endings so I will defiantly play/see this again sometime to discover another outcome.
Outlaw King (2018)
Surprisingly good, but should propably have been a miniseries
Outlaw King is an entertaining and interesting movie. So much so that actually I think they should have made it a mini series in stead, because there are some things that felt a little rushed in the ending especially.
I think the acting and the cinematography is very nice! Chris Pine actually surprised me positively, for some reason I did not thing he would fit in here, but I think he did a great job. Even though the most memorable performance in my oppinion is Aaron Taylor Johnson who plays James Douglas. I would have loved to see this on the big screen though, because there are some fantastic battle scenes that would undoubtedly be spectacular on the big screen. I envy those who saw this at Toronto film Festival. (Here in Denmark I have nowhere to go to see Netflix productions on the big screen sadly)
This would have been an 8 or maybe 9 if it had been a little longer or maybe even had been produced as a mini series Instead. As I would like to have some of the characters stories expanded on a bit more, and I also think the beginning can be a little confusing if you have no prior knowledge about the whole Scottish-english conflict back then. All in all a good movie that most people will enjoy. Some scenes are really graphic and brutal though so it may not be for the family evening.
Daredevil (2015)
Brilliant third season
This show honestly keeps surprising me every season. I think that season three is amazing, probably even better than the two first seasons.
It is especially the way that we are introduced to the new and returning characters in the show, it is set up in a brilliant way that really makes you care for the characters and make you actually worry about them when things get tense.
The pacing is also on point and I never felt as if it was moving too fast or too slow.
I have to also point out that the acting here is really good.
There are not one but two great villains in season three, Vincent D'onofrio is returning as Wilson fisk and I believe he does an amazing job at playing the evil manipulating kingpin. Wilson Bethel nails it as Bullseye he is set up in a great way where you really feel the pain and change the character is going through. To me the most surprising character was the FBI agent Rahul Nadeem played by Ray Ali, at first I really did not think I was going to like or care for the character but boy was I wrong, brilliant performance!
The fighting scenes in this show are very intense and impressive too! Is it so refreshing with all the nicely choreographed long takes, in stead of all the fast paced, shaky-cam, 4-cuts-per-second footage we are used to in modern action films and shows.
To sum it up I think this is the best season of all the six different Marvel/Netflix series I have watched. There are quite a few things you will miss or not understand fully if you haven't watched the other Marvel/Netflix series yet. And specially if you haven't watched The Defenders then do yourself a favor and watch that first.
If you are a fan of the other shows and the first two seasons of this I can almost assure you that you will enjoy this season!
