This Movie caught my eye for the last few weeks,though I was scared to touch a straight-to-video movie.Well Tonight I decided to check it out since nothing else was appealing to me.
I must say,It was really good,In all honesty,it was done somewhat different than most Cop Drama's but it worked,the story is a little complex,or at least more complex than most films.
Cuba Gooding Jr. was good but not great,I think his character was a little over the top and didn't fool anyone,although his character became quite interesting at the end of the movie.However,It was good to see him break out of his usual comedic roles.
Clifton Collins as expected carried this movie,I must say,this guy has to be the best latino actor in hollywood.187 was great and had an unforgettable performance.In this movie he plays the more toned down 'dirty' cop punished by guilt and delivers a strong performance at that.
The Movie like I said earlier,was quite good, It didn't look like some movie that had a $3,000 budget. If it the story we're a little better and the movie had an all star cast,this would have been a theatrical release.
Either way,I recommend this movie to the one's who like Cop and/or drama movies.
