Switched at Birth (2011–2017)
Score 1 for ABC
24 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I adore this show. I watched it because I was bored and I became hooked. Unlike most other ABC shows, everyone can act and it is not a thinly spread, overdrawn plot that never changes.

When these two girls discover that they were switched at birth their lives were flipped upside down forever. Bay Kennish has grown up in a wealthy American family with both of her parents and a brother while Daphne Vasquez was raised in a middle class family with her single mother. The Kennish family invites the Vasquezs to live in their guest house. But live is not as easy as they thought it would be. While Katherine, Bay's legal mother, is all happy to meet Daphne and become like another mother to her, Regina, Daphine's legal mother, is not as eager. She feels that Bay would be ashamed of her. So between these parents trying to learn how to cope with trying to please other adults that opinions actually matter and the girls trying to adjust with living with each other and their social lives mixing, there is a lot of drama and emotions going on, but these emotions are actually real emotions that a person in their situations would feel.

Everyone should watch the magic that is Switched at Birth.

A.N.T. Farm (2011–2014)
Oh goodness

I cannot see how this show even passed the drawing board. I know Disney has had poor taste lately but this just adds to the idea of failure. Basically, the show is a bunch of pre-teens who are in an advanced program set at their local high school. One of them is a musical prodigy even though it is blatantly obvious that she cannot play any of those instruments. The other is a person who can memorize everything they see and hear. That is not exactly likely. The jokes are cheesy and overdone. I cannot see that plan even passing in the real world. Where do you get enough geniuses to create this program? The acting is lousy and very overly dramatic. Just skip A.N.T. Farm.

Just skip

On this show there are a bunch of stereotypical adults and teenagers from America. I mean, all Americans are obsessed with sex, all adults are idiots and if 3 girls are kind of friends, they will all obviously get pregnant with each other's boyfriends. All men are obviously horny and all women are angels. Now that I am done with my sarcastic rant I will tell you more about the horrors of Secret Life.

There is never any plot. Basically a problem comes up and then you get to spend your next 6 weeks watching the main characters talking about the problems and the drama that goes with it in different places.

The adults seem to only try to work with the things that are not that big. Grace gets yelled at for being out late when she ended up being mugged but Amy getting pregnant or Ben dating a pregnant 15-year-old is not a problem.

This show is completely unrealistic behavior for an average American Teenager. I think you should skip this show and find something better.

Pretty Little Liars (2010–2017)
Mehhh,
24 August 2011
Warning: Spoilers
So the actresses are good actresses and the characters are deeply developed but the show is pretty much a soap opera. The first episodes are the same as the next episode that will be premiered. Four teenage girls trying to find out who killed their best friend. The killer commonly stalkers them and sends them messages as 'A'.

The show is also completely unrealistic. These girls had been stalked for over a year before they even thought of informing anyone. They went on these searches that would put them in much danger and the parents did not suspect a thing. I know not all parents are completely involved in their children's lives, but 4 girls who are best friends? I don't think so.

Final verdict? You might as well watch it if there is nothing better to do.

Shake It Up (2010–2013)
Worst show ever.
24 August 2011
This show is the worst show I have seen come out of Disney, wait, I have a correction, it is tied with A.N.T Farm.

I have only seen a couple episodes while babysitting a 6-year-old, and to put it frankly, I cannot see how she finds it a good show. I would rather her out Hannah Montana on than this thing they call a TV show,

So this show stars two 13 year girls. (Don't ask me their names because I couldn't tell you.) They are dancers on a show called Shake it Up Chicago. But the thing is, it is not really dancing. It is shaking their 13-year-old booties on a stage in clothes acceptable for...... a nothing really. When they are not on this show with no purpose, they are out trying to achieve their current egotistical goals that involves benefit for them. Meanwhile, there is a 6 year-old boy who never seems to be under the watchful eye of anyone. In reality, this show is meant to make a 6-year-old to shut up for 30 minutes.
