Silent Hill: Revelation (2012)
Came nowhere near as good as the first...
I want to give a simple review. If your happy and loved the first movie (as I did) then do not see this. At the end of number one it gives you a feeling of "man there are so many questions unanswered, but it was such a good movie that they would have to make the second one JUST RIGHT to not wreck the story". Well they wrecked the story... I am not going to go into all the horribly wrong stuff there is in it, so I will just name the things I thought were "cool". Pyramid head is a bit more active than in number 1. The movie gives a lot of little "easter eggs" to many different silent hill games, and I mean, who doesn't like to see a few easter eggs!?
The Final Destination (2009)
Good but not good...
I just finished watching this (having seen the other 3 and never got a chance to see this one in theatres) so that I can see number 5 soon. I liked it, sort of... It being at a race track was pretty awesome (way cooler than a Plane, Car Pileup, and Roller-coaster in my opinion). The actors did a great job, the graphics were awesome. Overall this movie is awesome, EXCEPT 1 thing...
The whole part of the Final Destination series, is the kids having visions and excaping death. In the first 3, the kids have 1 vision (at the beginning that gets them saved and starts the movie) that acts like they are going back in time... The start of the movie comes, all the deaths happen then you find out it's a vision. In THIS one, the kid has a total of 7 visions... 2 of them being like the ones in the first 3, the other 5 are visions that are used like clues. Having clues as to how they are going to die ruins the whole movie, it's taking the thrill right out of it.
If I were you, I wouldn't waist your time with this one. It would have been the best one yet if it wasn't for the visions that are clues.
Hop (2011)
My point of view as a 17 year old
I am 17 and went along with my family to see this. Being 17 (a teenager...) I was quite embarrassed of seeing an animation movie rated PG with my family, but I went along with it.
I enjoyed the movie, but it wasn't the best. Being from the same creators of Alvin and the Chipmunks, I prefer that over this being there squeaky voices help the comedy out. 1 thing I absolutely loved about this movie was the fact they made E.B. a drummer :D I am a drummer and I loved they finally made a movie with drumming in it.

There was a few specific things I didn't like about it, along with some things I liked about it.
I did not like how they gave him a sleigh, made me think the writers got a bit lazy and grabbed the closest thing they could think of (being Santa Claus).
I also didn't think there was to much comedy... When you watch the trailer, you see a bunch of funny clips in it making the movie look great and funny. But thats pretty much the only funny parts in it, all the rest is eather arguing, running, or talking...
The acting was good, and the graphics were awesome. I love how these people made Alvin and now E.B. look so real. They make it look like he is actually there in every detail.
Being a 17 year old, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else my age. I would say to get a good laugh at it you would have to be younger than 10. I don't regret seeing it, it was a cute show and a nice story (I loved the pink berets, lol).
Ferocious Planet (2011)
A good movie other than the fact it reminds me of other movies...
I for 1 liked this movie. The graphics were just like any other SyFy movie you see, the story was 1 of the first I have seen. I have always wanted to see a movie with different dimensions. There has been time traveling like Back to the Future, and teleporting in almost any Futuristic SyFy movie, and there has been movies where they visit other planets. This movie is somewhat a combination of them all.
The thing I didn't like was how it reminded me of other movies at points.

In 1 part a guy steals one of the creatures eggs, hoping to bring back for research/money. This reminded me of a part in Jurassic Park 3.
Another part is how the creatures have Pneumonia for blood, which when touching the skin acts almost exactly like Acid (and one of the people even think it's acid!). This reminds me of the Alien creatures in the Alien movies.
There is 1 last thing that reminds me of a movie. I think the filmmakers watched the 2010 Predators movie a little to much. The jungle design looks a lot like the one in Predators, and other than the fact the creatures have multiple eyes, and (I think) only 2 back legs? They look a lot like the Predators Hunting Dogs, you know the ones that one of the guys drags back. There skin color is very close to the predator dogs, and there movement and personality? Is almost just like them. They move fast, and are smart. There size is 1 of the 3 things that I found different, being from as small as a house cat to bigger than a full grown elephant. Also, after the team moves out of the building to find water, they go on top of a hill and look out to see miles of forest/jungle. Very close to what the team in Predators do.
One part that made me laugh was when the guy gets that metal rod stuck through his "sholder". You can clearly see he is holding it under his armpit. This is what made me laugh most though, after the guy pulls it out, just watch the rest of the movie. At some rare points he turns around so you can see the back of his shirt, and 2 things I noticed. 1: There is no blood on the back of his shirt, I am no scientist or doctor but I know that if a metal rod makes 2 holes (a puncture going in and then coming out) it is going to bleed from both holes. And 2: There is no rip, tear, hole, whatever on the back of his shirt where the metal rod "supposably" came out. That is SyFy for you, they don't put a lot of effort into there movies, for the top reason being they are free to the public on there first release, unlike Avatar where James Cameron got the graphics down to the last drip of sweat.
Overall I liked this movie, it would have been better if they would of made up there own story better. There was 1 part that I really didn't like, the ending. After they get back to "there dimension" alls you hear and see are police lights, which would make sense but when they get back they return to a big metal room that doesn't look anything like the one they were in, + at 1 point in the movie after they go to the other dimension and go out of the building a girl says that the building used to be 3 floors underground, and wonders why it is up on the surface now. Explaining that it now makes me wonder when they return why they are on the surface? After that the girl opens the door and both people still alive just have a blank look on there face like they are surprised and/or confused. The girl finally says "You first" to the guy and bam, the movie is done. Thats just some stuff that I liked, didn't like, and didn't get. I would recommend watching this if you are a SyFy movie fan, as it is different that any of the others.
Scream of the Banshee (2011)
Axualy a good "SyFy Original Movie"
I am a big SyFy and Horror movie fan. On Saturday, SyFy is the only thing I watch because thats when all the movies are on.
Now like I said I am a big fan when it comes to SyFy and Horror, I watch all those movies with the killer crocodiles and squids, blah blah blah. Those movies don't really entertain me... It's always the same stuff when it comes to those movies and SyFy... "Oh no 2 60 foot long crocodiles are coming to eat us all, but this time there names are The Crocinator and Croczilla rather than Dinocroc and Supergator!". It's always the same crap with all those types of movies. No matter what the movie is, it always seams to have the same story. Dinocroc, Supergator, Dinoshark, Chupacabro, Mothman, Mongolian Death Worm, those SyFy movies all remind me of one another, the only thing different with them is it's a different monster in a different place... Same with Twister, Ice Storm, Earthstorm, Ice Quake, Meteor Storm... They all have the same type of story just different types of disasters.
The reason I liked this one so much is the story, the acting was... eh..., the graphics were good on there level (as in, there wern't many and they were good for as many as there were), but the story knocked me away. They told the story of the Banshee and it's legend perfectly.
*THIS PART OF THE REVIEW MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS*
They told if you seen her why washing her clothes it would be a sure sign of death, just every little thing that goes along with the legend of the Banshee was in there, along with a few extra things threw in.
I would recommend this to any SyFy and/or Horror fan, the only down side to this is how sometimes the people will go into there own little place... That got me a bit confused as of what was really happening and what wasn't. At one point a girl has a vision of the Banshee attacking her, it "looks" like the vision is done, but yet it is still happening, gets confusing at some parts but still really great to watch.
You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008)
Horribly Horrible Movie
I am a big Adam Sandler fan, but this movie is just horrible, his worst work yet and probably will stay that because no movie can possibly be worst than this.
I went to see it when it had just came out and thought it was horrible, then just got done watching the end of it because Step Brothers is on next and remember how horribly stupid this movie is. If you want to see a Comedy with Adam Sandler, go out and rent/buy Happy Gilmore or Grown Ups.
If you want to see a stupid movie that makes your eyes bleed and is not funny at all, watch this. The only reason I am even waisting my time writing a review and rating this horrible movie is to save people from waisting 2 hours of there precious life. The only reason I gave it a 1 star is because Emmanuelle Chriqui is so dang hot in it!
