Shake It Up (2010–2013)
5/10
It's OK to watch if you have nothing else to do but it's not anything special...
9 August 2012
So, I started watching this last summer since I was bored and there was nothing else to watch. I barely remember the first episodes in details but they were fine. I usually watch it when I eat lunch since I like watching something while eating. lol

It's an OK show and I like the dancing and I think that the intro is well-done (weird to say). However, it's not like the older Disney shows. I remember watching Hannah Montana or Wizards of Waverly Place. They were cheesy and silly too and not the most meaningful thing to watch but there were some life lessons in them and there was some magic in them, they were waking some feelings in me and I couldn't wait to watch the next episode or if more episodes were already out, I watched like 3 or 4 at once. They were just fun shows which had something to grab your attention.

But Shake It Up couldn't do the same. I don't mind the bad acting since I don't expect brilliant acting in such shows. The dancing is cool and the dance scenes are well-done. I had stopped watching it for a while since I couldn't really find the episodes and it just didn't made me like it like it was with the old Disney shows. There are kids who like it, of course. But I found it kinda dumb like most people here. I'm fine with the repeatable topic for kids trying to succeed in show business since many children would love to and there's nothing bad in it. But it doesn't really show children dealing with the everyday problems like school, parents and doesn't really teach you anything at the end. Also, they dress like adults at times. Many teens do this nowadays though. And the characters are like my age. I do dress more like a woman sometimes but just on holidays or something. Maybe it's just that kids today are different than us. Even in real life kids are more stuck up and sassy than people my age and a bit older used to be as children so shows change too.

The Dictator (2012)
2/10
Too disgusting.
2 August 2012
I saw this movie yesterday at the cinema. I usually do some research before I watch something but a friend called me and said that he was bored and we decided to go to the cinema and see this movie. I had seen the trailer a few months ago and it looked like it was gonna be fun. I had also heard that it's really good and it stayed and cinemas for a long time, since May I think. So I expected to have a lot of fun.

At the beginning, it was fine. But then it got just to disgusting and sexist. I don't mind some dirty humor as long as it's not too disgusting to be funny but in this movie they just went too far. Trough most of the jokes I was like "WTF?! Gross!" rather than laughing. I was expecting it to get better in the end but it didn't. I expected to see some change in the main character too. I know that dictators are meant to be mean and all that but still. When you could actually think that he was trying to change and be a better person a moment later he was again going back to being an idiot and a jerk. I know, it's a parody of dictators and parodies can be sometimes sarcastic and dirty but this was just gross and disgusting. I can't believe how so many people like it. I don't think that anyone else than a middle aged bored man or some teenage boy who's trying to act "cool" would like it.

To sum up, I went to this movie to have some fun but it was rather disgusting. At the jokes, I wasn't laughing. I was just thinking "Eww." most of the time. It's not a movie that I'd see again.

Mean Girls 2 (2011 TV Movie)
10/10
If I have to be honest, for me Mean Girls 2 was better than the original.
10 February 2011
Warning: Spoilers
I know that a lot of people are going to hate on me for saying this but I'll say it! I think that Mean Girls 2 is better than the first Mean Girls. Maybe I'm also a bit young to write reviews but I just decided to give it a try. :)

So here's the reason I like the second one better. The first one was only based on how to take the Plastics down. But in the second movie there's also a lot about friendship. I mean in the first one there's about friendship too but not as much as in the second.

I also like the storyline of Mean Girls 2 better. I also like that Jo doesn't look for revenge because all of the awful things Mandi did to her but because the Plastics did something bad to her dad.

I also like that Jo doesn't join the Plastics or do the bad things to take them down secretly but fights with them face to face as it should be.

I also like that the main buy in Mean Girls 2 is the moral of the movie not just Jo's love interest.

About the actors. Actually, I think that they did a great job. Yeah, they have been on Disney but that doesn't make them bad.

About the swearing words. I dunno why people think that just because there are no swearing words in Mean Girls 2, the movie is bad. Swearing words obviously don't make a movie good or bad. Yeah, there weren't a lot of swearing words in the second movie but there was more meaning than in the first.

So this was my review. Agree or not agree with it, that's what I think. & one more thing - I don't say Mean Girls 1 is bad but I just like the second one more.
