I am a huge fan of the horror genre.I look at other peoples reviews and it seems to me some people expect too much from movies they like realism which is fine but its horror folks it is suppose to be fiction. This movie is a survival horror it uses the typical survival formula but the director and production crew do great job building tension with the soundtrack and some clever camera work. The actors do a decent job in there roles.I watch movies to be entertainment if I want to watch realism I will watch a documentary it is after all a horror movie and a pretty decent one for me.Everyone has opinions that is the great thing about the movie world I just feel people sometimes expect a little too much.

To Elysium and Beyond
22 August 2013
From the awesome director of District 9. Set in a future world where the rich and privileged live on Elysium where there is no sickness and the live perfect lives however the planet earth is full of the ill and under privileged. It was great see Matt Damon back in a action oriented role. The movie did take awhile to get going, When it does start the decent to super sci fi action mode it is very entertaining. Some very interesting sequences which are the mark of this director. There are many similarities to District 9 in terms of landscape and design of future earth. A interesting story with some beautiful camera work but does falls short to its predecessor although it is not a sequel it does have similarities to District 9 so you can't help compare both movies.

Action Packed Bromance
22 August 2013
Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg team up in a brilliant action packed movie. The chemistry between these guys was immense you can tell they had a great time making the movie. It is one of those movies that twists and turns constantly with a great bunch of characters throughout the movie, there is so many funny characters and Mark Wahlberg has a ball with funny one liners and Denzel Washington's reaction to them are just as funny. There is plenty of a shooting and fight scene's some great car chases set against the beautiful backdrop of Mexico. It was a real joy watching this movie and it really entertains I hope they do a sequel.

Based On A True Story A Crazy One
15 August 2013
Based on a true story after watching the movie I thought no way but then read up on it and it all did happen which is crazy. Michael Bay has his haters but this was a very well directed movie set against the back drop of beautiful Miami. Mark Wahlberg played is role very well I have to say I am a fan of his work but in my opinion the star of the show was Dwayne Johnson who was very good. The story is unbelievable but as I said is true. It's one of these movies that you want to cheer the bad guys the whole story plays out with some nice action scenes, some beautiful male and female extras as it is set in Miami, the dialogue between the characters is very witty and clever. A very good film. 7/10

More of the Same
15 August 2013
I was surprised to see a sequel to Red.The main cast are back. It's more of same great action sequences and fight scenes. Some hilarious moments with John Malkovich. The best bits in the movie come between Bruce Willis and John Malkovich with both coming out with some very funny remarks. It really is what you expect from a movie like this well made fight scenes and some great car chases. It is great to see the actors and actresses having fun with the characters and the story which is not complicated and does not take too much attention to follow. People who liked the first one will love this and sticks pretty much to the same formula as the previous movie which was successful at the box office. The added additions of Anthony Hopkins and Byung-hun Lee to the cast this should have the same success as the first movie.

Fun and Violence
14 August 2013
For many people the first one was a bit out of the box, many thought the young star was exploited too much, well folks it is a sequel so it is worse. In the first movie there was and air of innocence about the main characters well this is thrown out the door in the first scene. The movie is full of violence, full of foul language and choc block of disturbing scenes everything that was said about the first one is doubled here it holds nothing back. The story is a revenge story but the revenge is twisted and really disturbing. The scenes involving Hit-Girl this time around are not for the faint hearted and the scenes involving The M*****F***** are disturbing but hilarious. This movie is so much fun. If you liked the first one well everything in this one is doubled as it is a sequel, but a special mention to Chloë Grace Moretz who in my opinion is a fantastic actresses every movie I have seen her in she has stole the show. Fun and Violence. 7/10

More Grown Up Fun
13 August 2013
I was a big fan of the first outing. I became very reluctant when I heard the sequel had been planned, but I have to say it was absolutely hilarious. It was full of funny moments with the whole cast chipping in. It was really all about the cast not just Adam Sandler. From start to finish funny moment after funny moment with the kids coming into their own especially the baby Chris Rock. This movie is set a few years after the first and all the characters have excuse the pun 'Grown Up'. Some great additions to this cast were Steve Austin and Shaq O' Neill. A really enjoyable movie going experience. I think there will be a fair few that didn't like the movie because it was stupid in parts but guess what people it is a comedy there suppose to be silly and stupid. 7/10

Conspiracy Fun
12 August 2013
The Conspiracy A really interesting mockumentary dealing with conspiracy theories and secret societies. If your a fan on the conspiracy TV shows i.e Joe Rogan Questions Everything or Jesse Ventura 's Conspiracy Theory you will love it. With many movies using the found footage idea the market as been flooded they are cheap to make and some people think there real i.e Blair Witch but the filmmakers here use some nice little tricks. The movie starts off a little slow as they build it around nine eleven and introduce you the the secret society and the conspirator but it does kick into gear. It progresses very nicely by introducing people they interview who want to have anonymity which is a great ploy to keep the tension going for the rest of the movie. A very solid effort on an interesting topic. 7/10

Brilliant well acted biopic
12 August 2013
Amazing biopic with Amanda Seyfried as Linda Lovelace the world's first porn star with a great cast, noticeable performances from Peter Sarsgaard and Sharon Stone but a really well made extraordinary film really gives an insight into her relationships and abuse she had to suffer the whole film deals with the taboo of porn. The interaction between Lovelace and Traynor was incredible. It is a subject that many people don't want to chat about(Porn). I think this film really shows what some let me stress not all porn actresses deal with in that world, but if your looking for a well acted brilliantly made movie check it out 8/10 .

Interesting Take On A Slasher Movie
13 July 2013
Let me start off by saying I am a WWE fan, so I do watch all the movies that they release through their film studio. The last few that have been released have been OK movies i.e The Call, Dead Man Down. I am not saying that these are going down in history as epic movies or even great ones but they do entertain and that is the way a movie should be. Enough blabbing onto the review. The movie is full of blood and very interesting killings it is very clever in parts. Luke Evans steals the show I have seen him in a few roles and always plays them well. There is the common twists and turns that you will always have in the genre of movie but there is some that do surprise even the hardcore slasher fan.Watch the movie if you want to leave your brain at the door and if you like blood, guts and gore however if you have a tendency to be squeamish best not to view.
