2001: A Space Odyssey (1968)
Wayyyyy too slow. We're in 2020.
I gave it a 1 because I would never recommend it in a million years to anyone, ever. The whole action happens 10 minutes, somewhere like 70% through the film. It's 2 and a half hours, by the way.
Everything up to that is just showing space veeeeery slowly and boringly and also space crafts imagined in 1969.
Don't waste your life watching this one of Kubrick films.
Nouvelles, Nouvelles (2014)
DAFAQ did I just watch?
This movie was written/produced by someone who was high at the time and had enough money to produce a movie.
If you concentrate hard enough you might reach some conclusions, but the things are so far apart you can't possibly connect them.
It's as random as ASDF movies, but for 1 and 1/2 hour without music, or scene changes.
Very few funny moments, the one in the end was OK.
I love intricate movies and hard-to-figure-out story lines (Fight Club, Memento, Closer) and Lucid dreaming films like "Waking Life" which has lots of details, but this is just a compilation of random things that can only connect in the mind of the author.
P.S.: It's complete randomness, from the 50 people that were there, only 8 people remained, including me.
Redline (2007)
Total Trash
I you have an IQ over 80, don't watch this.
I thought the many super-cars, beautiful women engine noise and action would make me tolerate anything, but it sucks big time.
Bad actors, no storyline, the time span between shots is ridiculous, about 1,5 seconds, shorter than most music videos.
If anything, this just might be worst movie I ever saw, the first 20 or so minutes plus browsing through it.
Bad.
Rather read a book.
Google "worse movie ever"
and you'll see a better movie than this.
Days of Thunder (1990)
Rating... 10. I'ts unbelievable.
If you're a guy, this movie is a ten.
Racecars, engine noise, surprises, ball busting, I laughed my butt off.
It's got good actors, beautiful girls, a lot of action, a lot of humor, original humor, man-woman play-fighting and sparks flying with solid intelligent arguments that go right to the issue.
There are some country folk references, farming, but also lessons to be learned for farmers and old-timers about the modern world and old conceptions about medicine.
It's a 10 in my book, along with Top Gun, The Matrix, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club.
Senna (2010)
It is exciting and you learn the truth about Senna
It is at times a bit slow,a bit boring and the sound is a lot of time too loud from one frame to the next.
You have to change the volume up and down some of the time.
The documentary is very good, it has exciting footage, but the attention span is sometimes too long. Sometimes whole minutes go by with a single person talking within the same frame/filmed with the same camera.
The information quality and quantity is more than satisfying, it has talented speaker, even objective speakers and it presents both sides of an argument
All in all a must-see for anyone who watches Formula 1.
A great documentary.
