The Judy Garland Show: Episode #1.15 (1964)
Hollywood's disgard for animal welfare
Right from the start, I was appalled by the way the show runners felt it was OK for Judy to manhandle a puppy, which was shaking in its boots. An object to be lifted in the air, held around the waste and so on. Dangled and forced to stay still with her arms and hands around it whilst she sang.
Raising Helen (2004)
Turtle
The first thing I noticed is the blatant disregard for the life of that animal, and how it's death is part of a humorous scenario. Secondly, this film tells children that it's OK to keep that poor animal in a tiny bowl. This put me off the film from the very beginning. It tells me a lot about some people in the film industry.
55 Steps (2017)
This might seem like a digression but TSCC is based on Sarah's experienced in an institution like this.
If this film had been seen by fans of the TV series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles first, perhaps they would have understood what the writers were portraying. Our character in TSCC was mistreated in a similar manner, as portrayed in James Cameron's film: Terminator: Judgment Day.
In the TSCC series, Sarah has dreams, can't sleep, takes pills to treat various anxieties, and is also scared of dying (from cancer, which might be true... or not).
It would have been important for fans to have seen 55 Steps for this reason, then perhaps they would not have been so critical of the effects of life in an asylum, having drugs forced in to you because your previous drugs are making you look like a loon.
Continuum: A Stitch in Time (2012)
Something worth watching for those that loved the Ts and TSCC
It stands to reason that a sci-fi series that involves time-travel has to have a method of transportation to the past. When the words 'vortex of time' are mentioned, I think 'WTH' has the writer been reading my fanfiction. I wish they would not use the name Cameron for the lead character, for obvious reasons. Alphas have already had s scene where their male Cameron pushes a trolley down a supermarket alley and we have a view of the squeaking wheel as he stops at the big green melon section. It's not funny guys. Having got that out of the way, I only have to mention that I also wrote in my fanfiction about using my cyborg's eyes to view herself in the mirror and play it back to many viewers. Is the writer of this series stealing these ideas from me? Have a look for yourself, see the date it was uploaded, then go right to the end (before 'in the next episode') and read the last ten paragraphs, it is a view through the cyborg's eyes. fanfiction.net/s/6350538/16/John-Connors-awesome-responsibilities Despite all this, I quite like this series so far and will definitely wait a whole week to watch the next. In the meantime I will watch ep.1 again just so that I don't miss anything. It is a pretty good series with some good ideas for gadgets and electrical devices. This Cameron, I assume is as human as us but has a chip implanted in to her brain and a camera in her eyes to make her much more efficient at her job. Have I missed anything? reply to @KevinInScotland
