The massive, very thick book was no masterpiece neither is the tv show one, but the special effects are ok, there is a lot of blurring and vignetting what i don't like, but the visuals are solid for tv. The story telling is slow with many pretty boring dialogues, but i like that there is no social media and no mobile phones, no cctv, like in the book. With so many different tv stations involved, you have a huge and probably very expensive overhead of people, The production if filmed in different languages and in some scenes one person is dubbed the other is not what is hard to watch. The amount of money put into this production is eye watering, but most of the actors are only known well in their home country, mostly from france sweden, canada... and germany. Casting Klaas Heufer Umlauf is a slap in the face of the peer actors as he cannot act, sorry.

Not bad, but somehow show fails to connect with audience, whom to like?! Wondering why they chose to focus on these grotesque murders entirely, dismembered body parts, ocultism, symbolism. And then Van der Valks flat sexual encounters we learn of but learn nothing about.

Easy to watch and easy to forget, but it was actually kind of entertaining in all wrong ways. I hope imdb gives us back short reviews, sometimes 3 words say everything.

The show is So unrealistc, better watch top boy on netflix thats a very good and true show, with characters you actually care for. The whole pharmaceutical company plot in the last season, god thats lazy story telling. 60% of the storylines start when Wendy and Marty tell their dumb children a secret, and then someone gets killed, so painful to watch in season 4 because you've seen it now a hundred times.

It could have been so much better... i know its supposed to be a comedy but its hardly funny, the actors are too old for the the roles they portrayed and most of them reach their acting skill limits, i guess the looks were an important factor and true all actors are very handsome.

Edit: Season 2 starts promising, less cliche more real grownup men.

Many many CGI creatures, all perfectly done but the dialogues and the storytelling ist just not good. Was RDJ dubbed?! His mumbling is most annoying and hard to understand, wondering if the movie was successful?! RDJ shows little interaction with the other actors like he was alone in a green room for most of the time and all was put together in the end, very synthetical result .. and on top his dubbed accent.

Its about a Black guy accepting a job from an older white guy in an deserted rural area where he is on his own cut off of civilization ... Sure ... If you liked blair witch project this show could be for you, a lot of old camcorder footage, little conversations and a lot of following people atound through hallways, empty buildings, woods, etc.

Like so many other german movie this one uses the it works formula targeting men Take many many german actors Tell the story in an epidode kind of way Rotate, Rotate, Rotate so nobody notices how mediocre the script is (its not good) All together - It has a few laughs but not enough for a comedy most jokes sink Berlin Tv Tower in EVERY outside scene visible - promise This movie was so successful it got a sequel.

Surprisingly boring adaptation, even David Tennant cannot save it (but he made me finish it) , little adventure, no surprises, shallow locations, formalistic tv fodder ... it all feels like the cut scenes were put together...

Sometimes formula fiction literature is transformed into a decent, sometimes good tv production. Not here, absurd plot, boring and plain basic from start to end, Why 180 min?! Nothing happens.... absurd: constant dropping of english first and/or last names, kates last road trip, leaving her car to the weird couple, the list is long.

Good show, sometimes so nerve-racking due to super annoying characters its almost unbearable to watch then these very long painfully slow monologues The sudden change of mind of some characters in the last episode did not convince me.

J is incredible but thats about it, the men are all horrible, no eye candy, really none, the rest is mostly cliche, handbags, furs, you deserve it, no you deserve it.

Not sure who is smarter - the monkey or the presidents son aka i just want to find beth. He gets himself into trouble because he is always running away like a child, chasing after something, beth, the monkey, cars, god..., I wanted to like the show, sadly too many scenes are irrelevant, especially if you consider what the show is about and how long it will run, its too slow or stupid. The story offers unlimited playground for the writers, so its confusing why is what we see kinda lame?!

I was sceptical but the show is actually quite good, well written if you consider the target audience and solid cast. Soon there will be second season i am looking forward to.

I guess Not every movie must make sense in a traditional way especially one so obviously surreal like mother! Its meant to be upsetting so I guess its not a movie you will enjoy but what fascinates, a movie you have to work yourself through. I just thought it was a very emotional experience.

Watch it only If you like the actors, thats the only reason. Camera work is messy, picture quite often blurry.

I really enjoyed the previous seasons but due to really silly storytelling and main actors leaving the show, riverdale is currently in a poor condition, outcome uncertain.

I love the show but this episode is not one of the best, and its not well produced, probably Due to covid, and then .. the weather, jez... rain is the worst thing what can happen to an MM episode. I was surprised to see Mark Wiliams, his acting starts as clownish Father brown and ends as a stern Mr. Weasley, The younger actors are also quite good .. but everybody is struggling with the pretty lame script. Neil and Neil save the Episode in the end. As always...

Netherland becoming a narco state, hungarys drift into the far right, this show is more than just a suspenseful hunt for missing people but a mirror of contemporary issues in Europe. Both seasons were exceptional with strong leading actors you will miss.

This show is fresh and full of surprises and not one second lame or boring, for me its the best german show on netflix.

Affordable production to fulfill netflix's european production quotas, production design is scary, most of the actors are pretty awful mostly worse than they normally act on regular german tv productions. Good thing, its only 6 short Episodes long. Not completely unentertaining ...

The show sends a few confusing signals in the first two episodes but is actually quite good. Towards the end it gets really stong and i had to admit i need to rate it up by two points.

I really love the show but was very surprised to see Evan Peters in Episode 2. I like him but if your used to his former work of madness and monsters its difficult to get used to him in the beginning as he has done so much weird tv shows i almost thought he is miscast as it was hard for me to watch him act, but in episode 3 he is actually very sweet and so i hope he stays till the end of the show.

I was doubting the writers after a ... well ... not so well written first episode but the show gets better and kicks in with the 3rd episode then its actually quite good. I would have given a 7 but with all the 1 star ratings of sad haters i made it a ten.
