What's going on here?
23 August 2023
I was about to watch a series without great expectations and I end up watching a masterpiece!

This series it's perfectly crafted, actors, story, dialogues, music, everything fits perfectly, from one part crime to another moving, dramatic or funny but always compelling and very engaging.

Someone give the creator and actor of this series an Emmy and money to produce, Scott Ryan knows what he's doing and he does it brilliantly.

This series is up with the big ones, too bad the episodes are short and the series is over in just three seasons. And this artist has only two products? What's going on here?

If you liked Breaking Bad watch this small one, you can thank me later.

too obvious
29 August 2022
Unfortunately the film is too obvious and the dialogues even worse.

Maybe some teenager could enjoy it, I really couldn't.

There is nothing really good that you didn't saw before and better, not even the cgi.

A pity

Turning Red (2022)

I miss the usual Pixar
13 March 2022
The idea, the metaphor is not bad, coming of age or rather turning red (and honor your parents but stay yourself). Pixar production and graphics as good as ever. What is missing in the latest productions, in my opinion, is the genius of Pixar. They seem closer and closer to a typical Disney production, beautiful and musical but not brilliant.

This decline, I fear, may be due to an excess of production wanted by the Disney company, and I understand it but, there is a big difference between a tailor's shop and an industrial distribution of clothing.

Although I am an adult (and perhaps for this reason), I loved Pixar because in the past its target has never been solely that of children, they have included adults. Outstanding Pixar movies like "Wall-e", "Up", "Inside / Out", "Coco", "Finding Nemo" and Dory, also "Soul", even more than the still wonderful "The Incredibles", "Toy Story", "Ratatouille" , "Cars" etc. They bring with them messages, often moving, that do not concern only our children but also adults. Indeed, some messages are not immediately understandable by a very child / adolescent audience but they leave the fun to them anyway. In fact liked these movies as much as my son did.

This latest movie as well as "Brave", to a lesser extent also "Luca", show a slight flattening to Disney standards which I'm not saying are bad but they lack that typical modern tell and sneaky, Pixar genius.

Unnecessary remake
2 October 2021
This remake was unnecessary, the danish original (2018) is too recent and is well done and performed particularly well by the danish actor. This version is a copy even in the dialogs that adds nothing, rather it subtracts something from the original that appeared more credible, despite the production and the famous actor JG.

Heroes
25 September 2021
Some heroes are small, eccentric, swear words and have big mustaches. An italian documentary on a brave man, mafia, anti-mafia, corruption, infiltration and trials in Sicily done very well.

Ridiculous interview setting
23 September 2021
I'm sorry to say but I'm not sure the director of this documentary know what he is doing. The scenarios where the various actors are interviewed are hilarious out of place: inside a safe? Between two shelves? In a cell? Along some corridors? The editing is confusing, musics excessive.

The story is interesting but very poorly told.

Very good one
20 September 2021
This show keeps you glued to your seat from start to finish. It's done very well from every point of view, just the police actor shoul have been less younger.

I hope for a second season.

9/10 Bravo.

Original concept about time travels
7 January 2021
If you like time travel and you mix the concept of reversible entropy into a timeline, the movie is understandable at first viewing. The union of backwards timelines, makes the whole movie rather complex but not incomprehensible, despite the obvious paradoxes of time travel.

The movie is extremely well done, meticulous, and full of action. Nolan manages to create original and unpredictable movies like the shared (matrioska) dreams in "Inception", and it is not the first time he has played with time travel as seen in "Interstellar", but in this movie he takes the concepts of time travel a step further by introducing behind the usual time travels, not just overlap time travel but also timeline that goes backwards by an entropy algorithm.

Yes, it's clearly cerebral, but spectacular to recreate and to watch.

Underrated

Movies have many aspects that need to be evaluated.
27 December 2020
I like these kinds of thoughtful science fiction movies. A little like "Moon", "Ad Astra", etc. I really don't know what many viewers expect nowadays, they put ratings of 1, like movies were complete rubbish, they don't thoroughly examine the cinematic techniques, the messages behind the plots, they all seem like established critics; movies have many aspects that need to be evaluated! Some viewers say that nothing happens, but the movie shows different events that keep the pace quite interesting. The photography, the set, the special effects, the music are beautiful, the actors are good. Yes, it's a very sad movie but it's very well done and its message is perfectly in line with its time.

True injustice
12 November 2020
This documentary is a punch in the face, it really makes you angry and very sad. A woman, an exceptional mother, left alone against vile cowards, corrupt and criminals instead of being defended in every possible way. It really made my blood boil.

10/10 because her story had to be honored, told and disclosed.

This documentary should be mandatory in all schools
6 November 2020
Do yourself a favor and watch this series, it really broadens your horizons, even the mental ones. It is so well told, perfect in every respect. This series makes you understand more about humans and the universe in a few hours than you will understand in a lifetime.

Worthy of an Agatha Christie film (almost)
6 November 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It's annoying how people lie in front of the cameras thinking they are smart. For some, the acting is so obvious that if there was no need for "beyond reasonable doubt" in a trial, they would surely be doomed.

Some of the family is involved, while some acquaintances defend the accused, of course! The stepsister, for example, she is obviously very nervous and not at all natural during the filming, as many of them seem to have prepared the answers. That is not the natural way to react to such a terrible event, they are obviously playing a part and it's so much clearer that a psychologist would bet on this.

But most of all, it is obvious that one of the background voices on the phone call, is from a woman and that her words tell the true story. So, it is also a question of logic, that whoever covers up the murder is guilty and there are incontrovertible cover-ups that tell the truth here.

Diego Molina Pico, the persecutor, he's right on all the lines as is as the victim's old friend, unlike the others, she is completely sincere.

Yep, it's good
4 November 2020
I don't understand what viewers expect from a science fiction series now days, this one has it all: the story is original and interesting, highly technological, the special effects are good, the music is beautiful. Not for nothing there is also Ridley Scott, you know, the director of Alien, Gladiator and many others.

It's true, the last episode of the first season could have ended better, but the fact remains that the episodes are all well done.

Perhaps it is a science fiction for adults, it may be for this reason that the overall vote is not very high, giving 1 means having seen the worst of the worst, and it is not credible. This is not some low budget not creative, badly shot series, it is quite the opposite.

10/10 for creativity

Very cheap sorry
2 August 2020
Considering was realized in 2015 the whole thing, the production, looks a bit too cheap to my eyes, comparing to other historical miniseries. The mixture of dialogs, photography , camera works, and acting feels a bit not authentic and cheap according to the actual standard. A pity for the story and for Ben Kingsley that still a great actor.

You probably just saw this as a fiction "Narcos: Mexico"
2 August 2020
If you saw Narcos Mexico probably you just know the whole story but this time it's no fiction. It's a doc that tell the whole dark side about what happened to Dea agent Kiki Camarena and the Guadalajara (Mexico) cartel managed by Gallardo, Carrillo and Quintero By archive footage and interviews to the real survived characters, the director rebuilt the whole story in a raw and interesting way.

Using fast forward it's interesting
30 July 2020
The only interesting parts are the technological treatments, operations and the before/after results (probably also improved by the hairdressers, lights and makeup). By using the fast forward button you could find those parts interesting. The two doctors are not unpleasant, nice enough, but formal dialogues can be bypassed. Overall a bit too glamourized.

Not bad, underrated
18 June 2020
I completely agree with the review by Jonathan Christian: "Joseph Gordon-Levitt Shines In A Tense, Claustrophobic Thriller That Proves Less Is More".

In fact the movie takes place almost entirely inside the pilots' cabin of an airplane and yet it's very tense and engaging. The way it is filmed reminds me of the 2018 movie: "Den skyldige - The Guilty", one of the perfect example when "less is more".

Amazing shots, a wonderful sight to watch in high definition. An instructive and exciting narrative and a beautiful musical column. Every frame is exceptionally well done.

A great message too.

Quite fun and very creative science fiction comedy
11 May 2020
Some situations are quite funny, decent special effects and fairly fast pacing. It is a comedy and therefore not to be taken seriously, yet it has dramatic and sentimental implications. The actors are well chosen and good enough for the roles. What is surprising is the science fiction imaginative with several ideas that are worth looking at. Seems to me a mix between the shi-fi series "Eureka" and "Black MIrror", the first very light and feel good, the second very imaginative and tragic.

8+/10 for the effort of originality.

Not as bad as the reviewers say
5 April 2020
There are a couple pretty scary original scenes that make you shiver and the tension is high enough throughout the whole film.

This movie is in fact more than decent as a horror-thriller and it's underestimated by the current imdb score imho.

Beautiful just like the series
23 March 2020
This one looks like a final chapter in the series, but also leave it open in the final part. If you didn't watch the "Gomorra" series you can't really fully appreciate this movie.

Very well done and vastly underrated.

Well, this was an odd interesting and well-told story, rather kitsch and funny in some places.

The animals were magnificent, the humans a "little" less.
