What a movie!!! I truly haven't seen a movie like this in a ling time. The setting, the acting and the directing are marvelous. You'll just flow with the, you' movie as the movie progresses. Then, you'll feel attached to the characters.......an attachment that'll take you to the climax and you'd lay hoping that the movie would never end.

Mind Blowing cinematography!!! You won't forget it. A 10/10.

A Masterpiece
29 October 2018
I never thought that a movie of such eminence could originate in the Indian Film Industry. The environs, the story, the characters and the direction is unparalleled and unique. This is by far the best horror movie that Bollywood has produced. It's too sad that the Indian audience is too engrossed with the movies which literally don't have anything to offer.

But this one is out of the box. With a little bit of dark comedy, this visual masterpiece is extremely entertaining. The mystery is unfolded ponderously and it has a profound effect.

I am truly thankful to my sister for compelling me to watch this along with her in PVR. But I was so disappointed seeing only a handful of people in the screen along with us. I guess the Indian audience is too inept to understand movies like this. Guys, give up the romantic comedies and the petty action movies and give it a try. This is just awesome.

Game of Thrones: Battle of the Bastards (2016)

You have never seen anything like it........AWESOME
20 June 2016
First of all, let me greet this outstanding piece of TV by complementing it as the greatest episode of all times to be transmitted ever on television. Words are simply not enough to describe this artistic opus. The direction, the sequences, the photography and the music are unforgettable. This has literally surpassed any exposition televised and has raised the bar even higher for Game of Thrones. It was so intense and mettlesome that it becomes difficult to even blink during the entire span of the relay of this episode. The acting is fabulous and so is the desperation divulged by each and every character.

DO NOT miss this under any circumstances. This will be the greatest 60 minutes that you will ever devote to the small screen.

Magnificent......10 out of 10 patently.

Sci-Fi Redefined
11 November 2014
No wonder, Nolan did it again. Now this time he recurred with a movie which would be remembered as the greatest Sci-Fi movie ever made. It just seems that the person can apparently do no wrong. The movie is a visual masterstroke, a product of extensive research and co-relation among unexplored cosmic forces in a persuasive manner. The direction, visual effects and the storyline are sublime. Although, the plot didn't give the actors an optimum landmark for exhibiting their acting skills, the entire crew gave a commendable performance. Basically, understanding the true connotation this film conveys would require grasping the minute details Nolan has embedded in between the ongoing plot. But no matter how much we want to understand the movie, we'd still be lost in Nolan's idea of the vastness, uniqueness and true extent of our universe.

An irrefutable 10 out of 10. You haven't witnessed anything like this.

Sincere honors to one of the greatest directors of all time Sir Christoph Nolan. What a feat you've achieved! Keep up the excellent work. You are the God of cinema as of now.

Warning: Spoilers
This show is a perfect mix - romance, drama, action and comedy in a blender. Not many shows will keep you at the edge of your seats. Chuck is truly an epic, in fact, it is the best action comedy series ever. Both the lead characters fit perfectly. The chemistry between Strahovski and Levi is unparalleled. The main charisma of this show is just one. Amongst the action and comedy sequences, the allurement to watching this show is the constant advancement of the relationship between Chuck and Sarah. How they would eventually end up with their romance. The rest of the cast provided enough laughter to fuel up this magical journey. 91 episodes just ended in a flash.

A must see. The best action comedy series ever.

Watch it NOW

Warning: Spoilers
Luc Besson has done it again. There are no words to describe this movie. I haven't witnessed such a confident movie in a while. The cast, performances and direction are exemplary. Not to forget the distinctive plot. Evolution theory gets a new look. Don't waste any more time. It is imperative that you watch this movie without fail. Just like Besson's former movies delivered, this one has not let the bar drop. One thing is for sure, his movies are pure entertainment. the action sequences, editing and cinematography stands out without any flaw. Run for it NOW. It will be the ride of a lifetime.

A perfect 10/10 for this amazing flick.

Well, Season 3 has ended and I just can't wait to see what's in store for the viewers. This is a an exceptional show. Various plots overlapping but still it is so miraculously streamlined, the viewer simply can't let it go. The build up of the show to a thrilling platform is a magical work of the creators. The characters are well picked and the performances are superb.

Creativity is often the main concern for the people these days and this show surely provides us with one. Writing too much about the show will only reveal inside details of this series, so make some for yourself and watch this amazing show. You won't be disappointed.

A straight 10/10 for this magnificent achievement.

This will be seriously missed
30 September 2013
All hell broke loose in the grand finale of Breaking Bad. As expected, Breaking Bad ended with a bang. No other TV series has ever been so consistent as this one. It has left a formidable mark on the minds of the audience. An action packed series finale wrapped up the show that will never be forgotten. Thanks to Vince Gilligan, thanks to Bryan Cranston and thanks to all the other stars who really made this series a masterpiece. A completely realistic approach into normal people's lives and brilliant concept into showing how circumstances and choices can really transform a normal person's personality.

Outstanding. We will miss you "Breaking Bad".

A 10/10 for this final gem.

Breaking Bad storming its way to the top
17 September 2013
Television doesn't get better than this, in fact it will never get better than this. Breaking Bad just unleashes here. The level of acting, directing and realism that went into this is really commendable. Who needs movies if we have shows like this one. BB rules and surely it will leave a mark when its over. I'd just wish this show keeps going on and on. Bryan Cranston shines in this episode. Everyone contributes with unbelievable performances. I am savoring this show for my children, hell even my grand children some day. BB has changed my perception towards TV.

Breaking Bad RULES! DON'T MISS this episode or you will miss the show of your life.

There is No Match for this one....
26 August 2013
One of the greatest episodes any series TV has ever delivered. That's all I can say actually.....there are words to describe this one. Pure raw acting by all the actors. Aaron Paul with his furious performance, Dean Norris with his silence and teeth grinding parley and of course Bryan Cranston with his evil saga. What Breaking Bad delivers is incomparable to any other series because the acting is very powerful and moving. The plot-line has always something new to offer and the camera-work and direction are brilliant.

You CANNOT afford to miss this episode under any circumstances. Breaking Bad rules.

Becoming Predictable
26 August 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Dexter is becoming more and more predictable in its road to culmination. This season just does not seem to be the final one. Hannah getting back and Dexter falling in love again!....oops I don't know, quite simply not cut out for the grand finale which it certainly promised to deliver. It lacks the intensity and storyline of Season 4 nor the exciting kills matched to any other season. Even the climax of this episode is somewhat predictable once you see Dr. Vogel opening the door for Dexter. I'm anxiously waiting what the creators of this wonderful show can array in the final episode. Hope it will make up for the tedious show they've put up already.

A Powerful episode with performances that will stun you. You cannot miss this one.

Great Action Movie
14 June 2013
Oh!..... I think this is one of the best action movies ever made. Donnie Yen at his very best. Whether its the knife bout or the kicks and punches, he simply rules. After this movie, I can say he is my favorite Asian martial artist. The movie is very serious and somewhat dark. Not only the bad guys, but the cops are also involved in shady business. But one just cannot withstand the other. Superb characters, top notch direction and excellent choreography wraps up the show.

Just go watch it. You won't be disappointed. This is a great action movie.

Highly recommended. 9 out of 10.

Unbelievable
11 June 2013
Well, what happened here? Let me tell you - "The character of John McClane died with this movie". I really don't know what prompted Bruce Willis to sign a movie with such a stupid script. 2013 saw the comeback of some famous action stars of the 90's. Schwarzenegger in The Last Stand, Stallone in Bullet to the Head and Van Damme in 6 Bullets. All these movies are not great as their 90's counterpart but these are decent movies at least. Willis along with some director John Moore just ruined everything in this sequel of one of the greatest action movies I ever witnessed. Moreover, where are the cops? In the torrid 98 minutes, McClane and his son incite havoc on the streets and buildings of Moscow but not a single police officer shows up. Did they all fled to stop an invasion or what? This is one of the worst action movies I've seen in recent times. It doesn't have a script, nor has any considerable performances and more importantly, it doesn't have a formidable reprobate.

Please do NOT waste your precious time on this. This is just pure inanity.

Wonderful
5 June 2013
This is an amazing movie stuffed with intense emotional drama. This happens to be the first movie I have seen from writer-director Derek Cianfrance and I can say for sure he is a very talented guy. All the actors gave powerful performances in accordance with the brilliant direction. The ones I liked in this flick are certainly Gosling and Cooper. You all may have seen Bradley Cooper in action packed and comic roles. See this one and you will know how emotionally powerful he can be. Ryan Gosling is maturing as an actor as well. Although, his semblance is concise, he intensifies the screen with his presence. Eva Mendes is superb in showing her sentiments flowing. One other young actor who shines is Dane DeHaan. I saw him in Lawless and Chronicle. He's gonna go very far if he continues in this fashion.

The story is fairly acceptable but the main focus of this movie is the acting. It sanguinely shows that we can never turn our back on fate. Fate has its own way of grooming us.

Probably, one of the best dramas I've seen lately.

A must watch. 8/10.

This will surprise you
3 June 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Perhaps the best episode of Season 3 so far. Game of Thrones continues to impress. Not only it amazes with its enchanting backdrop and the direction, the show is greatly unpredictable because of the politics involved. This episode is a perfect allegory. Who would've thought that Walder Frey teamed up with the Lannisters. The Lannisters are truly on a political gaiety here obliterating every obstacle on their way to victory. Robb stark is finally out of their way. On the other hand, Daenerys Targaryen is starting to jolt victory slowly and maintains her conquest towards King's Landing.

I seriously don't know how this season will play out or the forthcoming seasons for that matter, but this is truly a fantastic episode.

Never insult a king as they say, 'cause he'll make you pay......

Undoubtedly, the best show on TV
1 June 2013
After watching the eighth episode of Season 5, I can say for certain that Breaking Bad is the best show on television till now. Being in India, you hardly get to watch these sort of TV shows amidst our traditional flagrant family dramas with absolutely nothing to offer. This is by far the most realistic show I've ever witnessed. Bryan Cranston is amazing in the character of Walter White. He continues to impress with his acting, his shady parley and his performance in the black comedy scenes.

This is the story of Mr. White, an inventive chemistry professor who endures cancer and eventually teams up with Pinkman (Aaron Paul) to launch the purest Crystal Meth in the market. His journey transforms him from a modest human being into a menacing individual who will stop at nothing to provide a better life for his family and keeping his disguise intact with his in-laws and the rest of the world as a modest and humble being who is fighting cancer. Although he succeeds with almost everyone, his wife eventually finds out and his family gets secluded from him. But he stops at nothing to fulfill his dream of building an empire of his own which leads him to accomplish even more perilous deeds. The important message that this show conveys that no matter how hard you try to suppress a rogue endeavor, the truth will ultimately reveal itself in the long run.

This is an amazing achievement in TV history. All other actors including Anna Gunn, Aaron Paul, Dean Norris, Giancarlo Esposito and Jonathan Banks gives stand out performances. This is not a show for everybody though. It is mature and perfected for grown-ups but it is not to be missed under any circumstances. All I can say to the producers of this show is - Thank you & Keep 'em coming.

A must see. 10/10.

A Wonderful Show
2 January 2013
Dexter is a major achievement in TV history. Michael C. Hall rules as the lead character. I don't think after watching Dexter, I will want to see Michael C. Hall in any other character. He absorbs himself in the character so very efficiently. After finishing the final episode of Season 7, I simply stand in awe as to what more this show has to offer. The plot layout for all the seasons are unparalleled and innovative apart from Season 6 which has some discrepancies. Hence, a small token of credit should also be given to the screenwriters. The important message that this show conveys is although Dexter commits the murders with absolute prudence and canniness, even he cannot control the outcome of his actions. He has to constantly look over his shoulders and cover his tracks as the aftermath of his acts have serious implications. Even his sister is drawn into his battle in order to save him. Jennifer Carpenter is a gem of an actor as well. She exercises her emotions so powerfully that she compels the audience to appreciate her. A very good cast overall and each of their performances stand out.

Do NOT miss this show as you'll never love a serial killer more than Dexter. He'll be your favorite.

Pure Magic
2 September 2012
This is by far the best French movie I have seen so far. Jean-Pierre Jeunet has delivered pure magic for the audience here. His nifty direction has done it again and of course what a dandy leading lady as an actress he has. Audrey Tautou is a very talented star indeed. She completely captures the character of Mathilde and grooves herself into it. She literally carries the entire movie on her own. It really shows her total devotion to the role. A superb blend of romance and a teasing mystery in the plot wraps up the magical show. Even with English subs, you won't have a chance of missing out on almost anything if you watch Tautou the whole time during the movie. She will make you understand the movie both in acting as well as in her words. Her performance in Amelie was exquisite also. Jodie Foster shines in her little cameo as always. You shouldn't miss out on this one. This movie has surpassed one of my favorites Tell No One of 2006.

28 August 2012
I simply don't have words to describe this movie. I think this is the best action movie ever made. Its got all the ingredients for a superb action flick. Who would have thought that a movie of such intensity as this with a vividness of troth will originate from Indonesia. The fight scenes were superbly choreographed and directed. Gareth Evans has created a gem here, a kind you sure won't find in Hollywood these days. Superb display of traditional martial art techniques not only from Iko Uwais but from every other character in the movie. The gun fights and knife sputters are cherry on the cake for any action movie goer. A must see! Do not miss it in under any circumstances.

Outstanding
26 July 2012
Just caught the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises in PVR with my brother-in-law last night and I simply stand in awe of what I witnessed. It was one of the most absorbing work of cinema I have ever seen. Chris Nolan has excelled himself as a director. The fact that he is one of the most talented appears from the stats themselves. Six out of his eight directorial ventures have landed in IMDb's Top 250 movies of all time. If he continues at this pace, he will very soon surpass the efforts of his predecessors as well. The much awaited end to the trilogy surely ended with a bang! The Batman is back after eight long years to save Gotham from the ferocious mercenary Bane - Tom Hardy, the surprise package of the Dark Knight Rises. The action was delightful to watch and the performances were superb as always. Nolan uses the acting skills of Christian Bale to perfection when the Batman was man handled by the intimidating figure of Bane. Oldman, Freeman & Caine are crafty as usual. Anne Hathaway & Marion Cotillard portray their characters magnificently. Gordon Levitt made his impression both as Blake and Robin. A resplendent movie with wonderful stances that will blow you away.

I am a movie freak and cannot stay until I watch at least two movies a day. But I ain't watching any movie for a day or two. I simply want to stay put keeping this movie capture my mind. A must see!

Superb Political Drama, not for everyone though!
29 March 2012
Bravo. Gorgeous George has done it again. Not much with his performance this time but with his directing skills. This is his best work after Good Night, and Good Luck of 2005. Like Good Night, and Good Luck, Clooney does not take the upper hand in this one as well. The entire script revolves around Ryan Gosling who does an incredible job. This young man is surely and slowly making his mark. He is cool, composed and more importantly focused in his character. The entire cast has been picked wondrously and each of them execute their roles to perfection. In fact, this movie stars several Academy Award winners including Clooney himself. One thing is for sure George Clooney isn't just a pretty face. He knows his piece very well and acts accordingly. Giamatti and Hoffman are one of the best natural actors ever born. You give them any roles and they will perform no matter what.

But the star of this movie is definitely Gosling. The plot is rather simple but the story kinks itself in a dramatic way. The one message this movie conveys is that no matter how good or honest a politician displays himself to be, he or she has always a dark and suppressible background.

This is a very important movie indeed but this is not for everybody to enjoy.

Take Shelter (2011)

Perfect
27 March 2012
Just finished this movie and I have absolutely no words to describe it. Michael Shannon's apprehensive performance has stolen the show. His character's torrid intimidation towards his own situation and reluctance in sharing his feelings with his wife has been displayed flawlessly by Shannon. Also, Jessica Chastain is transforming into a wonderful actress. I saw her in The Tree of Life as well as The Debt and her performances in both of them have been great. Not to mention, Jeff Nichols has earned himself quite a reputation in directing this masterpiece and this is truly a masterpiece.

Now about the movie, a young married man in his early 30's starts having an unshakable premonition about a storm which will destroy everything, especially his loving family. His relentless pursuit of safeguarding his wife and daughter makes him to perform deeds with single-minded determination. He has to build a shelter, he has to fulfill his duties as a husband and a father. Although he experiences unpleasant nightmares and thinks of himself as a mental patient, he still doesn't give up his purport. His young wife endures everything she can, despite the health stipulation of their little daughter and even helps to out ride her husband's extreme behavioral imbalance. The chemistry between the two is magnificent.

You should definitely see this movie if you haven't. This is a great piece of work in every format - acting, directing and storytelling.

Its Perfect!

Murder 2 (2011)

Indian filmmakers continues the trade of copying
2 March 2012
Doesn't the Bollywood movie-makers have any original script of their own? I guess not....This so called thriller is yet another copy of a well made Korean movie. Especially, the good old Bhatt coterie has copied almost all of the movies I have witnessed. Emraan Hashmi's debut movie "Footpath" was copied from "State of Grace", yet he couldn't match the credibility of the great Gary Oldman. "Awarapan" was a copy of the Korean movie "A Bittersweet Life" starring Lee Byung-Hun and the propensity continues with Murder 2.

While "The Chaser" is a superb thriller with resplendent performances, the remake is one dullard version of unwanted romance revolving around the plot. A sizzling new model does the trick for the Bhatts' this time like Mallika Sherawat did it for them in this one's prequel.

Search for some new ideas and if you do not have one, please don't make any more movies.

A complete waste of time. Please do not watch this.

"Norton simply rules in this one"
22 September 2011
No matter how many times you watch this movie, you just feel you may need one last peer. This is simply a masterpiece. It is perfect in every aspect.

Resplendent story-telling with powerful performances by the cast makes this movie a class apart. Tony Kaye is superb in directing this flick as well. I don't want to write anything about the story as it was told a lot number of times. If you remember the dinner table conniption about the discussion on "Rodney King", I felt that I moved into that very stance. The acting was so excellent and flamboyant especially the brilliance of Norton outfoxed everybody. Furlong also played his part perfectly. This is an intense delineation of the neo-Nazi movement which affects a person's life and his entire family. The words communed by Furlong's voice says all the movie tries to convey to the audience.

A must see for everybody. Norton deserved the Oscar for this movie.
